Regulus had decided about ten minutes into his first day of First Year that he absolutely loathed Herbology. It was everything he hated–full of dirt, outside, and distinctly foul-smelling. So he’d promised himself that he’d never spend an extra second near the Greenhouses. Why should he? There was nothing good about them.

This was still the truth at the end of fifth year, as he stripped off his manure-covered gloves at the end of a long double-lesson and grimaced, wishing he could disappear. 

“Class dismissed!” the Professor announced, making Regulus’s heart leap.

Yes. Finally he could leave.

Making a beeline for the door, Regulus was the first one out by several footsteps, only to be stopped by a distinct pssst! noise.

Annoyed, he froze, looking around. What was stopping him from leaving?

Then, he heard it. “Psst! Reg!”

Rolling his eyes and cursing himself for not having better judgement, Regulus traipsed around the side of the Greenhouse before more students could appear and see what he was doing. 

And there, sticking out between one of the other greenhouses and the castle wall, was James Potter, grinning so brightly Regulus’s heart skipped several beats.

“Had a good lesson?” the Gryffindor called, beaming.

“No,” Regulus whisper-yelled back, frowning. “It was torture, and I want to go inside.”

“Shame. Here I was thinking you could spare a few minutes to let me snog you against the wall,” the older boy replied casually, sending Regulus a confident grin.

And fuck. Why did that make Regulus’s brain go deliciously blank?

He tried to think of an excuse to be aloof. To go inside and leave Potter hanging. But the offer was really just too good.

“Fine,” he pretended to relent, though he knew he’d been hopeless all along, “but no marks or I’ll hex you.”

Potter just laughed, eyes sparkling. “Is that a threat or a promise?” he replied, grabbing Regulus’s waist.

All Regulus could do to shut him up was kiss him.

James: I fell over at the park today with Harry, and instead of laughing he ran over to see if I was okay.

I have to just— 😭😭😭 WHYYYYYYYYYY is marauders TikTok suddenly obsessed with gallavich sound bites 😭😭😭😭

1) ptsd—that show was traumatic and so was their love story… the girls who get it get it. Like we were in the TRENCHES as that show was coming out… saw someone using the sound from season 5 when Mickey says they’re gonna take care of Ian at home 😐😐 YALL DO NOT KNOW THE TRAUMA PLEASE

2) grief—I wrote for gallavich, for those unaware, for TEN YEARS 🥹 I have a tattoo in honor of 10 year anniversary fic (should I post a pic of it?? No one’s seen it around these parts so idk) like I just have such a deep, innate connection to the fandom.

3) anxiety—I do not want to fall back in there 😭 it’s hard enough reading & writing for two… I cannot afford more obsessions!!!!!! (I also miss them so bad and I need literally half an excuse to be back there and I genuinely do not have the time pls)

So please… please 🙏 I am begging yall… stay away from gallavich… or at least keep it off my fyp 😭
