It’s only been five months, and already I’m starting to see all these small things in such a new light. I used to stress so much about being thin and clear-skinned and “beautiful” in a way that mattered to everyone else, but now these things I used to be so nervous to imagine on myself are the best and most beautiful things in my life. I finally get to look in the mirror and catch myself smiling, there is hope. Things get better. I know it’s cheesy, but to all the trans people seeing this, there is such a bright future ahead of you, and despite whatever you are feeling, you are strong enough to get there. I speak for myself and so many others when I say we are here if you ever need a friend. Keep fighting, and remember the little things.
