Extended "Tell a Story..." Interaction

A small default replacement (of sort) for this Apartment Life social. The original includes five "stories", each boosting a hobby and relations with a an AL social class: -> "Mechanics", tinkering, Gearheads. -> "Art", arts & crafts, Bohemians. -> "Sports", sports, Jocks. -> "Computers", games, Techies. -> "Economy", film and literature, Socialites. I added five for the missing hobbies; reusing the social classes: -> "Camping", nature, Gearheads. -> "Baking", cuisine, Bohemians. -> "Health", fitness, Jocks. -> "Science Fiction", science, Techies. -> "Orchestra", music and dance, Socialites. All the new stories use custom sprites in their speech bubbles. These are from the Sims 2, 3 and 4. Their action strings have localization for French, Russian, Polish, Spanish and Portuguese. Other game languages will display the basic US English. I also renamed the "Economy" story to "Celebrity" in the English localization. I replaced its sprites as well as some of the "Computers" story's. The preview image shows one of the "Celebrity" sprites. Internally, the mod replaces components of the existing interaction: BHVs, STRs, TXTRs, and the OBJD (but not its GUID). The only new resources are additional textures. As far as I've tested, it should be safe to remove. The game will simply go back to using the original "material". Sims 3t2 Traits Mod (Non-Traits version is available)-Childish Toilet Pranking

Here is a fun one. Doesn't have much of an effect on gameplay... but you can have Childish Sims mess with Neurotic Sims using my Neurotic Reactions mod.

This mod adds a new Interaction to ToiletGlobals: Prank!

Description: Childish, or playful, sloppy, and mean Sims can "prank" toilets, doing a devious laughter animation, dropping something in the toilet, and then the toilet will now be clogged. The next person to use it will have to deal with an overflow!

Sims with the Childish trait will be able to do this interaction, or Sims who are very playful and sloppy.

I made another version without traits if you don't use them. It checks for the "Immaturity" feature, and if the Sim is not "Immature" then it checks for Mean, Sloppy, AND Playful Personality. So only certain Sims with certain personalities or Immaturity will be able to do this interaction. It is Non-autonomous.

IMPORTANT: Installation Instructions:

You must put this mod in your Overrides folder. (Sims 2 Ult. Collection/Mansion and Garden Stuff(or most recent expansion)/TSData/Res/Overrides

This is because there are some overrides of two Maxis toilets inside the Overrides folder, and all you do is place my mod in the Overrides folder and it will work!

Resources: I modified all five TTAs and TTABS for the five Maxis toilets. I also renamed them so you can see which toilet it is.

Because toilet TTABS are private (attached to specific toilets), I had to modify each toilet. Sadly, this mod will not work with custom toilets if they use the group 0xFFFFFFFF.

So, I also made a tutorial for adding global interactions to custom objects, such as a custom toilet! And it generally explains TTABS and how they function.

Sims 2 Mod- Repair Inaccessible Sprinklers-Testing Needed

Hello!!! This was requested on a Sims 2 Discord.

There seems to be an issue with gardeners and other Sims not being able to repair "inaccessible" garden sprinklers.

It needs testing because unfortunately I am too lazy to wait for the sprinkler to break and there is no debug option to force break the sprinkler

This mod is coded just like Cyjon's Inaccessible Bushes and Flowers.

Sims will still repair the sprinkler, they will get it done, not complain, and get as close as they can.

you guys need to let go of any rigid belief in what being nonbinary is because it can be anything. like someone can look completely average in gender presentation and do literally nothing to set themselves apart from their assigned gender and still be nonbinary.

Modern Sims 2 Custom Content is Incredible!

I spent a long time this afternoon just browsing and downloading stuff for my game, and the amount of amazing content available nowadays is overwhelming (in a good way!). I found a lot of 4t2 replacements, plant conversions, some amazing mods that add new gameplay functions like candle making, color preferences and I think I am barely scratching the surface of the options available. I had to stop before I got confused while trying to update some object defaults because that can be tricky if I don't pay close attention to my folders. I'd rather do that when I am less tired. I am very, very impressed!!

Clark and Louise Houveir (a parody of Lewis and Clark) are Sims from Sims 3 Roaring Heights and I came back to this household to find this...

Louise has Commitment Issues, she's a Snob, Inappropriate, Grumpy and she's Flirty. And we have a genie lamp!!

My beach lot was literally exploding in a fiery ball that can be seen from space, so I'm rebuilding it. Cursed things were happening!

I mean the hood is corrupted, but I am 97% sure this is a separate issue, but what the f%%% do I know? This world I have discovered is massive!!

The Hitchcock's were having such a glorious time at the Oceanfront Beach until cursed things began to happen.

Sims 2 Mod: "Read Novel" want Satisfied...By...Reading a Novel!

I got so sick of this want clogging up my Wants panel, and it doesn't make sense that they can only read novels written by playable Sims to get this want.

So, this mod changes the resource "Read-Loop Reading" 0x2012

For any Simmers who were watching me on Twitch earlier today, I was actually putting the code into the wrong BHAV.

Now, it's coded properly and Sims will get the "Read Novel" want by reading the genres of books available with Apartment Life, NOT just "novels" written by playable Sims.

This is an upload of the Sims 2 Seasons LAW career. It overwrites the unmodded career.

Sims 2 - Base Game/Vanilla Careers Fixed

UPDATE: I was elucidated by @starfishpaws that monetary bonuses from chance cards are always multiplied by 1000 after a certain career level. I found the BHAV that does this in JobDataGlobals and that seems to be the case. Redownload if you downloaded before 3:30 PM CST 6/21/25

Another series I am starting out of spite.

The careers are so sloppily coded in Sims 2.

This is an upload of the Medicine career. It overwrites the vanilla (unmodded) career.

Fixes:

Chance cards all actually take (or give) the proper amount of Simoleons based on what the chance card actually freakin' says

"General Practitioner", one of the mid-tier career levels for this career, is misspelled as "General practioner" and I fixed it. If you have the mod from MTS that fixes this typo, delete it because I incorporated it.

"Nurse" level 3 is changed to "Patient Care Assistant" since I have a custom Nursing career that is separate (It's on MTS)

Motives and skills required slightly adjusted (Getting promoted to Paramedic requires Logic now)

PTO is adjusted to give Sims more points per shift as they progress.

Misc. Sims 2 Mod - Better Logic for Magazines

Important: this mod codes for the magazines that you buy from community lots, not hobby magazines in the mail

Maxis coded Magazines to be barely any fun, even if Sims have high Interest in the contents of the magazine.

This mod changes that. Sims who have higher than 3 points of Interest in one of the subjects that the Magazine offers, they will have more fun reading the magazine.

Sims who aren't interested in the subjects that the magazine offers get the vanilla level of fun increase.
