Curse of the Emerald Trinity, a nightly Halloween overlay of Hong Kong Disneyland’s Jungle Cruise that was offered during the 2015 season.
According to tribal lore, three ancient stones, known as the “emerald trinity,” were placed in the jungle centuries ago by a voodoo tribe. “Immortality is the reward for escaping the jungle with one stone,” the legend goes, “A fate worse than death, however, is the price for failure!” It is believed that thieves have ignored this prophecy and taken two of the ancient stones, awakening the spirit in the stones and wreaking havoc on all. Joined by our Navigator, you set off on the Jungle River Cruise in the darkened nighttime hours. Will the Navigator maneuver you to safety, or are his intentions that of greed and a more self-serving nature? We dare you to not get lost on this perilous quest!
Lots of green light, fog, possessed vines, spooky skull temples, and apparently a hippo pool full of skeletal zombies that I found a better shot of in another video

Arguably the best modern Donald cartoon I’ve seen.

Concept:
1. Make a third Fantasia.
2. Push the limits into more abstract than Fantasia 2000, (which features some kind of story in every single feature.)
3. Open it up for entries among art students/graduates.
4. Item 3 automatically takes care of item 2, because art students and graduates seem to push the envelope a lot more. (Just look through independent animated shorts on YouTube.)
5. Finesse things in production maybe, but absolutely keep with the creator’s intent and vision.
6. Release the film, if not theaters, then straight to streaming.
7. Watch art students/graduates get job offers where they can flourish.
8. Repeat this process every few years for good PR and good entertainment.
(This message brought to you by that damn good Dali short that was never officially in any iteration of Fantasia, thus far, and deserved to be. I don’t ADORE Dali, but it’s effing fantastic and gorgeous.)
Thoughts?

Hey guys! This isn’t Disney related, but I am having a seriously tight month with finances.
You can help!!
- buy something from my store! - tell people where you got it! - tell others about my store with reblogs! - share this in some other social media format!
Feed the artist! (But for reals.)

Have some Epcot nostalgia for your ears! I have yet to truly master this on my ukulele, and it's definitely out of my vocal range, but fun as hey to play!

My guest room is disney themed--I have become what I swore I wouldn't--and it's slowly filling with Disneyana, both old and recent.
My bff in 7th grade just offered me a 1968 Disneyland map. She won't let me pay for shipping. I'm OVER THE MOON.
It will look GREAT in a frame. Maybe a float frame.. AAAHHH. Can't wait til I can afford a frame!!
Pictures of the room coming soon. 👍

Strong Opinion Time:
If you're okay with WDW charging for hotel guests to park their cars overnight on resort property where they're already shelling out to sleep, don't talk to me.
If you're okay with the Disney parks making their gentrification so blatantly obvious at this point, don't talk to me.
If you're not enraged about this, don't talk to me.

Concept for the “King Triton’s Carousel of the Sea” replacement, which is being called “Jessie’s Critter Carousel”.
You can see a lot of sculpting maquettes for the Woody’s Roundup animals in this B-Roll video of sculpting work for Pixar Pier.
youtube
Personally I’m surprised they didn’t just rebrand the carousel into a Finding Dory themed one considering the California Sea Life.
