If you are like me and you really want to watch Eurovizion but also do the moral thing of boycotting the shit out of it I have a solution. One that is harmless and has systematically pissed every entertainment company in the world. Pirate it! I do the same with Disney since they are trash and I refuse to get a Disney+ so I pirate everything Disney. Seriously just pirate Eurovizion, the only thing you have to sacrifice is watching the show live and voting.

It is not a controversial law, is improving the lives of trans people, and I am glad that this was a win for trans rights. The only thing that the law does is allowing trans people to change their gender in documents without having to submit a doctor referral. Of course JK Rowling got pissy cause she is a fucking terf. I am a huge fan of A.I and the potential of the tech. Hell I started with A.I before studying film. In a perfect world this would be amazing but we live in late stage capitalism and this will be used to fuck over artists. You know what irkes me the most right now, corpos scream bloody murder against piracy which fucks over ONLY corporations according to EU but then they go around and do this. Their data is important and you can't make a YouTube documentary anymore without 20 copyright strikes, but fuck small artists.

As a film student I am so happy so many people have discovered Goncharov. Not a lot of people knew about this before this explosion. I remember in class when we got assigned to watch it, as a staple of mafia/neo-noir cinema, only hardcore Martin Scorsese fans saw it. It really shook me to the core when I watched it and we talked for months in class about it, even when we have moved on to other movies. Really Martin Scorsese's best movie. I mean we have 3 professors in the department who have written books about Goncharov and several other papers. Annie van Den Oever wrote a book on the historical context of the movie and how that influenced the narrative as well as how the movie was made and Julian Hanich has a book on the aesthetics of Goncharov and the impact they left on future mafia movies. A lot of neo-noir copied the style of Goncharov after its release. Even now movies and shows draw influence from Goncharov. Watch Peaky Blinders and see how much they stole.
