I dont ask to often but anyone that reads this hit SHARE! This is my BIG NEWS! Everyone meet Dan! This man here is an amazing asset and the first ever full time employee for The Scrap Daddy! This is a major milestone moment for myself and hopefully Dan as well! I heard once that a true buisness is only a buisness once you have hired someone else. It's now not a "me" things a "we" thing! Dan brings alot to the table! He is fully licenced, has fall arrest! He is a ticketed welder and he is down right nice! He cares about the work and what the customer thinks. He gave me a 12 hour shift today and asked if we were still going out tonight for snow removal! He already has taught me a few things and is really looking to be trainned exactly the way I want things done. We communicate great together and that is a huge key to a sucessful team! This is one goal I did not exspect to reach so fast! That said I am taking care of staff from the get go! I have an accountant, Dan the man is on payroll. I myself have made it to a new tax bracket tear! Yes Im excited I have to pay taxes now! That said I offer all of the same great services but now charge hst. I am giving Dan my Scrap Daddy Suv to make us even more efficent! We now are #WSIB covered! Along with I have just as much insurance on Dan as I do myself! I care about him as much as I care about my customers! I also joined the @ptbochamber today which is going to become an amazing asset to keep going with this growth! There is always so much work to be done! I was called in from one of the few designers I work for. I cleaned up the jobsite debre for her contractor. Big or small dump runs I can load them all! I finished painting the celing and a bit of the trim yesterday as well! This project is to be finished this week! Look at the picture to see the difference in the white. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! Never yet seen together is the suv they thought they destroyed and the chevy work truck! I am to determined to just give up and drive my suv to the scrap yard! :D Stay tuned because in the next couple of days I will have some really exciting news! What a much needed Sunday! The girls just love church but so does there daddy! A family that brushes their teeth together stays together! With my line of @milwaukee_heavyduty tools almost anything is possible! In this line of work you have to offer out of the box thinking! Like removing this couch from a basement that I still don't know how it got down there with its size.🤔 I cut both sections in half and then carried them up with ease. This prevented any scratches in the walls or floors trying to get this up as a whole. You name it and I will remove it! From metal to couches there is always away to remove something. #bowchickawowwow What a really productive day! A new client needed a shed repaired, thats when she called me! I managed to just get this rebuilt as the snow started to fall! Then it was out to #omemee to finish painting trim....This customer has a new tennant moving in today. So I suprised her by also installing over 200 feet of quarter round...She asked but understood how busy I am. So we had the time just for paint this week but instead I worked late.....which was so worth the multiple hugs I got! I love when I get to see how happy an excited a customer can get after a job is complete! My #moving blankets arrived to start using in my moves. Talk about being spoiled! This client was referred to me after I rebuilt a fence for her friend. This is the second list we have started to finish. From hanging a shelf to getting an exsterior door to lock again....After she has already had two others try.....It was fixxed in under 15 minutes. Then she apoligized and changed the plans and had me get all of the baseboards prepped for painting and measure for quarter round. I told her It was no issue I am very flexiable and can fix what you want done. In the order YOU want completed! She made me an amazing #brunch and then left me alone to go make a gift basket for the kiddos. I was given a key to the house to come and go as I please to finish these jobs. I also can supply materials or I let the customer...She asked me to caulk around the tub and didnt mind that all she had was almond colored caulking. I would rather it had matched but thats not my decision. I talked it over with her and she was thrilled with the results. I freaking love food! I never thought of all the amazing little things that have really made being a buisness worth it! My customers are truly amazing and when you just care others will care back! Last night I received one of my farvorite kind of text messages! "Gots you some moola" I went and picked up my payment from last weeks move from #bridgenorth to #peterborough. I even was allowed to keep the change as a tip! I then stayed and chatted with her for awhile. It was amazing to see how stressed a person can be during a move and relaxed after! She actually gave me some amazing feed back on how and where I can improve on my texting and messaging communication. Sometimes with being the hard worker on the front lines, and the sexy secretary behind the paper work and social media updates. I am not able to reply as fast as I would like which can cause clients #stress and #anxiety. She taught me a few things to help improve that for customers, because that is the first thing I want to take away and not cause! I am always ready to learn! Guess what black or white, rich or poor, male or female, old or young, EVERYONE matters! Furthermore everyone has something to offer another person. I am more than willing to learn something I don't know how to do, from ANYONE! Thats why I already have a fair amount of knowledge...but always wanting to improve! Do you need to move? Would you like your storage unit emptied or filled? I started the day off with doing a small storage unit move for a new client. I met the owner of #parkhillheatedstorage yesterday. HE who owns roll of bins and large trucks and offered them to me if I ever run into something my truck can't pull! Its all about networking either online or in person. When you a do a good job that client usually refers you to someone else. That is another form of networking that has really been beneficial for my company! I also really believe there is so much work in Peterborough that I have no need to be rude to my competitors. I have already gone through alot with the one company destorying my property and calling me everyname in the book. I have no need to be mean simply because we share the same vision for buisness! What a way to start off the week! A fellow class mate from N.L.C.A.called me to help clean up his back yard! There has always been something about Nathan. He is one of the most caring men I know! So it was amazing to get to work with him all day as he even came to the dump to help unload the two full loads. I then got to meet his handsome son and catch up with his wife who also was a fellow classmate. These two are the most amazing power couple I know. Since school they were always grossly cute! Smiling singing together lol now years later Im invited into his home and get to play with such a smiling little baby! Nate kept insisting on he was going to pay me for the scrap metal removal. I kept saying "Nope its free, my reward is the metal." It also saves the customers a fair bit of money when I seperate the metal from the dump runs! The Scrap Babies are growing up so fast! Just as fast as my company has grown to be honest! I do love getting my little moments with my girls! Since @optimumwraps got ahold of my truck they have even been more cute! "RED TRUCK!" "DADDY'S TRUCK", "TRUCK RIDE?" Are just some of the things they tell me whenever they see my truck! I truly am working hard for my little girls so we can have our truck rides and mini-trips. That said the past week my truck upgrades have arrived. I also said I would start reviewing new products. This is my second build on a newer truck that isn't carburated. However, with this build I am trying out a few different companies. @afepower @injentechnology @spyderauto @poweraid I have used the #poweraid throttle body spacer in my previous 08 silversdo as well as this one. I give it a 5 out of 5 in my books. Its a 5 minute install and comes with everything needed like gaskets and bolts. I also have always loved the red finish, it shows that the motor isnt just stock! I teamed it up with a stage-two #aFepower cold air intake system. This time I stayed away from @knfilters for this build as aFe kit showed a little more bolt on results. This build is about power more than looks this time. The install took about 30 minutes. I went with an aluminum tubing on this instead of the black polyurethane pipe. The power has significantly been increased and you can hear that cold air getting directly to the motor! They also offered a pre filter I opted for and am thrilled with it! 5 out of 5 for this one also. With a new truck there are no carbs its all run by computers. This is where my #injentechnology #pedalpro came in amazing! I have to give it a 4.5 out of 5 only for the website not being as clear on a splitter option for the opd port....Which will be an additional cost and shipping but I need it for my @diablosports #tunner. It said 5 minutes install it took about 15 if you actually hide the wires. Other than that once again INSTANT results! It has really made a difference in towing. Tow mirrors are on also! I love builds and truck parts! What a friday! I got a great photo from my early morning dump run! That was one of 4 runs completed that day! Some days you have to be up before the sun and your kids to get a really productive day completed! I also was blessed with a $600.00+ tip in the form of a 60 galon commercial hot water tank. One of my returning customers owns his own plumbing company. He installed the hot water tank and then his customer wanted a 80 galon tank. He took it out. Then while doing his dump run and fall clean up he looked at me and said, "Do you own a house?" I replied with "its on my goal list!" He said, "Well take the tank its brand new!" I then learned you can store these tanks properly and when I build my house I will already have hot water tank! I am blessed by all of my customers! I never ask for tips ever but sometimes people do crazy things that blow me away! It's one more reason I go that extra little bit in every job! Inside jobs or outside it doesn't really matter to me! I started yesterday with making the client beyond happy by...cleaning out all of her X's crap and took it off to the dump. Now she has use of an amazing basement! ...Maybe if he kept it clean he wouldnt be someones X-Husband lol I had a chance of being dishonest in this clean up. I however want your trust and work not your things. I found a real pearl neckless and earings! I also was told by the homeowner, " if you want to keep anything you can." I kept it aside and it gave her a great suprise when I brought it up to her! HONESTY and TRUST are the main keys to a great customer relationship! In this business I meet alot of people! I have been blessed with really amazing clients everytime. That said the landlord of the 2 bedroom reno is beyond great! The counter top for the kitchen won't be in for 2 weeks so I was given an exstension. That is a hidden blessing as he as beyond patient! Plus one of the youngest landlords I have met so far! Stay tuned for completed photos as he will he renting this place out and looking for renters! I was called yesterday to remove this basketball net and laundry pole in the back yard. I took my #milwaukeetools to the job and took them out with ease! What was really amazing was this job was the next door neighbor of a past client.
