As well as the directors Sam Bailey (directed episodes of Dear White People, Grown-Ish, and more) and Angela Barnes (who directed one episode of Atlanta and got TWO awards) both clearly know what theyre doing.

going through screenshots of decade old tumblr posts on pinterest because it's easier there and i had COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN that it was a known joke/open secret/whatever even within the marvel cast that steve was a bit fruity. a late night talkshow host called it gay and Sebastian said it was a little brokeback mountain. red carpet interview with Chris and Scarlett had Samuel L interrupting them saying he was the "first lgbt captain america." like i know it's jokes but they knew. Chris said all the Steve+Bucky scenes in CW were cut short, and meeting up in wakanda couldn't have been the first time they saw each other since because otherwise they would've hugged for 30 minutes. they knew. they KNEW. and i don't know if it was the russos or Disney or both but they purposely took that from us. no they probably would've never been able to canonize anything without pissing off a very large percentage of their audience (and lose money not being able to show it in several countries) but they overcorrected WAY too much, so much so that it sullied people's opinions of Steve forever. his character was assassinated because of homophobia. and I'll literally never be over it.

This is one I never finished, I made this when I learnt Optimus has the same number of flowers in his field as megatron and I like to think they pay their respects together.

I also like to think their field of flowers are so vast, they connect.

Another commission for me by the lovely Erika Skerzz. I always thought Megatron and Optimus would be the best TF characters for a Hades and Persephone AU, what with Megatron spreading death everywhere he goes (and usually being a miner in his origin stories, analogous to Hades also being the god of wealth) and Optimus being associated with the duality of life and death because of how often he dies and returns to life. Call it yet another idea for a fic, lol.

It’s getting more and more common. I’ve seen three posts about it in the last 24 hours - patreons where you’ll get “exclusive” fanfiction stories if you’re a subscriber.

Don’t.

Don’t do it.

It’s annoying, but mostly it’s fucking dangerous.

The whole fanfiction community prosper on someone else’s turf under “fair use” laws. In simple terms: we can play with other people’s creations for as long as it’s done for our own amusement, and that of our followers.

Once any kind of financial benefits are made, it becomes another abuse of someone else’s rights.

And look, I get it. It sucks, especially seeing the artists take commissions while the authors get nothing, and it takes hours and hours of our time, and I understand people are looking for a side hustle to make ends meet in this monstrosity of a capitalist society, but if we don’t stop it from happening, the rights owners will stop it.

And they’ll stop it for everyone.

It’s not worth it. Don’t do it.

I still keep thinking about how freaking much I hated Deadpool 3 and how with minor changes it could've been better as a movie:

1) Whole conflict with Vanessa was vague and hard to understand and stupid.

Instead then could've: shown Wade being so obsessed with other realities and MCU superheroes that he started spending more time there than in his own reality, gradually loosing his connection and undervaluing real connections he had with Vanessa and his found family. At the peak of the conflict he walks away and end up in tva and that limbo space. There he finds Deadpool corp, and looking at their universes where he had no family and no home, he understands what is important.

Whole point of the story would be him understanding that real connection is important more than fame and superhero life.

2) They SHOULD'VE SHOWN us what happened to that wolverine. Not tell, show. Freaking basic rule of cinema.

Just imagine them showing us scene where he got drunk (still don't know how he can get drunk but let's go with their story) and either

- was so drunk that he got easily pushed down physically but still had to face his people dying right in front of him

- was so drunk that when he came back he was giggling stupidly and not understanding that people around him are not sleeping but dead

By showing this they would strengthen the initial disdain for the character, that even us as viewer would have, and this wolverine would gradually earn our, viewers, trust too.

No freaking need to all those stupid cameos, the only one who was needed was Laura. And proper introduction to Deadpool Corp, that's it.

This movie is so lazily written, they use vague words to describe something "they came, they killed" who they, they don't show it, humor is mid at best and at the end of the day it's also pointless in general.
