Titled ‘Modern Angel’

1.5 hours in Procreate with iPad Pro

I love this painting because often in religious circles, angels are portrayed as pale and that is seen as ‘clean and holy’, however I believe that if God exists, he wouldn’t cast out darker skin tones due to the colour of their skin but would rather celebrate it like the goodness in their hearts. I think that’s an important message for the internet!

Also from an art standpoint! I love the tones and diversity of colours that it takes to paint such lovely skin tones such as these!

hello my internet friends, it’s been some timeee (like a year but shhhhhh).

Life update:

I am now an adult! (Or at least that’s what they call it). At least I’m apparently 18 years of age now.

I also am still with my amazing partner, and I live with them now! (Pronouns of them are he/they).

I can’t believe that it’s been a year since I posted most of the art on here! It aged well (I think) and I have leveled up quite a bit this year.

Okay art update:

I have a YouTube and TikTok now!

I am so grateful for the progress I have made through these channels of media and I have been loving every second of it. I found a small passion for video editing! And as well I realized I love to create content for kindred souls.

Anyways I will try to stay more active on here (hopefully) and let’s see what happens! Love you all and goodbye for now :)

WIP of a painting titled ‘My father’s daughter’. This piece was inspired by themes such loneliness, disconnnection, and familial tension.

The figures in the background will be painting if less saturated colours, whereas the figure in the foreground will have more saturated colours to draw attention to the figure

I love the way it turned out and I think the colour palette is very harmonious. I spent a lot of time making sure the skin tone fit will into the rest of the piece.

i went to the park today (omg I absolutely love the park?!?!?) and read a book for a few hours (Divergent, NOT THE MOVIE OKAY THE BOOK) so that was nice :)

also bought an icecream because it was so hot (36c) my god.

does anyone just get those random interactions with babies at the park where they just like pick you and then you are their playmate until they leave? Yeah that happened to me today and honestly makes me wish I had a kid sometimes (at least a baby) but then I’m reminded im still a minor and I actually hate most children.

I really need to socialize more because my little brain believes that if it is left alone for more that 2 days it will self destruct, rip.
