Lance’s Possible Endgames

Ah, yes. The question we’ve been asking ourselves. Who’ll Lance end up with? There are three possibilities: Pidge, Allura, and Keith.

The other ships, including Lunk and Shance, aren’t plausible simply because of lack of screen-time. Also, Shiro isn’t ready for another relationship after Adam’s death. Hunk is Lance’s best friend. It doesn’t work.

Allura is a possible endgame because of Lance’s feelings for her since day one as well as the scenes in the season eight trailer alluding to them on a date of some sort. What gives me doubt about it is because of the “leaks” from October that don’t have Allura or Romelle (they would be leading the colony most likely. They’d be cute together though...). Not to mention Lance has been stated to want someone who will pick him first. Allura did not do this. I don’t know, though. The “leaks” and the trailer make it very possible. Plus, we have that scene from season 7 with her blushing. This does state that she shows interest in Lance, and I do believe that scene in season 8 is a date. I also believe that Lance will realize that she would only be using him as a rebound, and she will hopefully understand that she is not emotionally ready for another relationship.

Pidge would be unexpected, as Jeremy Shada has stated Lance’s endgame will be. I don’t think she is a good match personally because Lance is legally an adult at age nineteen (around that, and I think Pidge is seventeen. Correct me if I’m wrong, please), and she turns his feelings into jokes. I think she would be better of with Hunk, but hey. It could be pretty cute. I like it, even if I personally think they’re better platonically. Pidge and Lance do have some moments, though, so who knows?

Keith is the last one. I think that Keith could be an endgame, especially if Dreamworks wants to make up for the Adam incident. They have been allowing more queer couples in their shows (She-Ra) and so makes Klance a possible endgame. It would be unexpected. I am doubtful, though, even as a Klance shipper, because I don’t know what is allowed in a show like Voltron, plus we have plenty of evidence to support Plance and Allurance. On the bright side, we do have several scenes alluding to a bi Lance arc (the answer was Bi). Klance would be a great way to make up for what happened with Adam, like I said.

I hope Klance is canon, though I would be fine with any other pairing. I’m here for the action, personally, and the character arcs! Let’s see what happens on December 14!!!

And So We Begin

It’s my first day in this high school and I’ve already screwed up. Royally, at that. Naturally, me being my absolute perfect self, I’ve run smack into some kid on my way to advanced theatre.

“Woah, uh, can I help you?” the boy asks. He’s attractive: eyes like honey, dark hair poking out from beneath a blue beanie, and large glasses perched on the bridge of his nose. It’s a recipe for disaster in my case.

“It’s fine,” I stammer, hurriedly picking up my books. “S-Sorry.”

He grins at me with pearly white teeth and sticks out a hand. “No biggie. The name’s Everett. You?”

“Dakota.”

“Charming. You heading for theatre with Mrs. Redd?” he asks. I manage to nod. He’s... quite excitable, but it’s kind of cute in it’s own way.

“Cool!” he says. With that, he takes hold of my hand and practically drags me to theatre class. There’s a blush spreading up my neck as he does so, and I’m thankful he’s not looking back at me.

“Are you that new boy Mrs. Redd was telling us about?” Everett asks bluntly as we arrive in front of the door. I flinch slightly.

“Erm, yeah, but, uh... I’m not... a boy, per se,” I say softly. I can already practically hear him yelling at me or just ignoring me, but he just smiles brightly.

“Oh. Are you trans, or—“

“Non-binary, actually,” I explain timidly. Everett looks at me with genuine kindness shining in his eyes. I’m surprised. Usually people aren’t accepting.

“Sweet. Let’s head in, yeah?” he asks. I nod and let him drag me in.

I can’t help the huge smile that’s come over my features.
