New Experimental Album Out Today!
I started this album months ago when one night i was dealing with insomnia. That night and the next day i started about half of the songs on this album. It is mostly about someone who caused a stir in my life and the lives of those around me. I compare myself to them and at times put myself in their shoes to ask why they would do such a thing. The title is in reference to that event(an ongoing event) and my DND roleplaying setting: Mondoronya.

Listen/purchase: OUTPATIENTS by MacNeil Sketchley
Started on the 2025-03-19 when I got my new Telecaster, OUTPATIENTS was finished 2025-03-31. It features my voice, squealing saxophone, modular synth, drum machine and my new Tele. As well as pitched down ukulele and samples. There is a loose theme and narrative to the tracklist covering my life as of late as well as things from the past that I can't quite let go of quite yet. I hope you like my attempt at the two week album challenge.

New Album Next Month Called "Famine and Warfare in Mondoronya"
My new album is available on services for pre order on April 11th and out for real on bandcamp and streaming on April 18th. Its called Famine and Warfare in Mondoronya and its more wild and out there than my other albums but I've committed to releasing it as a mainline album as a part of my plan to release an album every two months. I'll post again on the day it releases as well, but i figured id let the hype proceed this ones release. Thanks.

"3D Pinball" The new album by MacNeil Sketchley
A while back in 2024 I discovered a genre called signal wave and it inspired me to make an album. Noisy and shortlived, nostalgia! Memories of my favorite things, like the title track 3D Pinball where I use the iconic game with my own audio files to use it as a sort of sampler. Or samples of my favorite bands and movies. Hope you enjoy this half hour collection of the new and the old.

Listen, if a Bad President can come in and take away our rights and we're dependent on a Good President replacing them in four years to give us back our rights, then we do not have any rights.
If politicians can take or distribute them, then they're not "inalienable" and they're not "rights."
We don't have inalienable rights we have conditional privileges, divvied out according to the whims of whoever currently holds the reins.
And if we want to have actual rights, then we must build a system in which no one has the power to take them away to begin with.

New Halloween Themed Album: TECH
Tumblr media
What if it wasn't defeated come 2000 AD? What if throughout the ages that it laid dormant, beneath the crust, it exuded a melancholy that kept our heroes inside? Kept them from from the fair? What if times forward march ripped us apart at the seams? Kept individuals isolated from one another. TECH keeps it up, lending itself to connecting in the now. A phone call, a text or an instant message. Looking back from the end you see it all as a drop in the bucket. A consequence of the magic you learned from looking beyond the door. From before she has an aura. Her emotions: ice that she sculpts from her fate. And from mine I am prone to weather a cyclone or two. Avoid meeting and doom the world and your life spectacularly. Meet online and risk never picking up her necklace, dooming the world. TECH is a horror story about the divide between people and their fates. Growing up attached to a phone so that we miss our true callings. With TECH restoration is common place, but you are still hungry!

Today's compilation:
The Beat Generation 1992 Beat Poetry / Jazz / Spoken Word / Vocalese / Comedy
The much publicized, ridiculed, and parodied Beat Generation, which started sometime in the late 1940s and was eventually subsumed by the hippie and countercultural movements of the 60s, did not end up producing too much music of its own, but the whole lifestyle and aesthetic that it promoted, along with its iconic literary works from the holy trinity of Kerouac, Ginsberg, and Burroughs, is integral to the history of popular music as we know it. The beatniks themselves worshipped jazz cats like Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker, and plenty of musicians, such as Bob Dylan and The Beatles, drew lots of inspiration from the Beat Generation. Plus, another major figure of the movement, Neal Cassady, was also in The Merry Pranksters, a roving group of folks who ended up bridging the chronological gap between beatniks and hippies, and toured the continental US in a bus while giving out free LSD to people, which was chronicled in Tom Wolfe's famous Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test book; and members of the Grateful Dead were in those same Merry Pranksters too.
So what we have here is less a triple-disc compilation of music from the Rhino label—although there is definitely music on it—and more a full-on audio documentation of what made the Beat Generation what it was, which in addition to *some* music, includes a lot of Beat poetry, interviews, news items, and mini-audio documentaries too. Here, you get 197 minutes of Beat material, a solid chunk of which is provided by that aforementioned holy trinity themselves, plus kindred spirits like controversial comedic legend Lenny Bruce, whose righteous battle for the freedom to publicly say whatever he wanted without any repercussion made him a Beat ally, even if he was not in any way a beatnik himself.
But for the music that *is* on here, we've got some of the bebop jazz tunes that the beatniks went totally nuts for, including Charlie Parker's terrific "Cosmic Rays," which is one of many songs that demonstrate just what a deft saxophonist Parker really was. And we've got something from Tom Waits too, who arrived way too late to be a beatnik himself, but was nevertheless fond of the movement, and wound up showing his appreciation with his uniquely gravelly voice on "Jack and Neal / California, Here I Come," in which Jack is Jack Kerouac and Neal is Neal Cassady.
So if you're looking for over three hours of music, you're not gonna find it on this release, but if you want something of a definitive audio document of one of the most important and influential subcultures to have ever been formed in American history, without which where we would be now as a culture and society is completely unknowable, you should definitely check this thing out.
And by the way, there's an acid jazzy mid-90s trip hop tune by a German guy named Jazz Con Bazz called "Wayz of Life" that I've been listening to for years now that samples one of the audio documentary tracks that appears on this release. Really blew my fucking mind when I heard the sample too; like, I felt like Wee-Bey in that famous scene from The Wire that's since been turned into one of the greatest gifs of all time. Holy shit! 🤯
