i feel like this opinion may not be shared by many others but thats okay.
i actually disliked when the prime earth reboot annihilated bart’s multi-decade long character growth from an impulsive and immature young teenager who had grown up in VR to an experienced and more grounded version of his past self.
I understand that it was a reboot for a reason but it feels almost disappointing in a sense when i read modern comics about a bart that acts almost toddler-like. I’ve noticed most prime earth YJ characters such as cassie retain her level-headed composure developed throughout her time in the new- earth continuity.
as much as YJ dark crisis wasn’t something to write home about, it really showed how capable and intelligent bart is in comparison to the 2019 YJ run where he is often rather infantilized.
what im trying to say is current dc writers need to do bart’s complicated character growth justice in modern comics (and PLZ stay consistent because omg)
if you agree or disagree please share, i’m always open for friendly discussions 🫶
