sometimes it'll be little things like after a hard day of training with everybody you guys end up going to your room to relax and he'll wait in the bathroom with you while you shower, talking to you about his day, movies he wants to see, new foods he wants to try, some new skincare that nobara recommends you, how megumi keeps complaining about gojo you know the normal stuff

but it he doesn't stop there on those days where the sun hides and the snow falls, making it so cold no one wants to get out of bed and training is cancelled, you guys lay in bed the warmth of your heater keeping your room from freezing, you two tangled into each other not knowing where he starts and you end, just embracing in each others warmth you wake up to your alarm, you try to get up to go to the bathroom

"don't go...please?" his voice raspy from sleeping for so long, he holds your closer as you try to wiggle out of his grasp

"yuji i gotta pee, plus its time to get up for training"

"it's cancelled please go back to sleep"

everyone knows that katsuki had hated sweet foods and took a natural liking to spicy foods instead did anyone know the real reason why? no…well except for you

it started when first when denki had questioned him about of course he denied,denied, denied and lied about it. then since denki’s nosey questioned him everyone else grew curious on why he actually didn’t like sweet food and preferred spicy food. the whole class came up with theories like

“i mean it makes sense considering his personality” said tsuyu “maybe he wants to seem tough” mina suggested “thats not manly if thats the case” kiri added onto mina’s statement,and these were all good theories but during one of your guys midnight talks he had told you the real reason why if you swore to keep it secret

so on a random night, while you guys were lying down in his dorm, cuddling,trying to let the sleep overtake you,you had this question and it just had to he answered. “hey, kats” you whispered trying to see if he was still up

“what, we need to sleep” he said,he always did get a little cranky when he was tired huh?

“okay last question of the night,why don't you like sweet foods?”

“if i tell you will you go to sleep?”

“mhm”

“when i was a kid i really liked sweet food, liked it s’much i ate it like everyday and the old hag would nag me to brush me teeth and stuff…but i didnt to spite her and it bit me right back in the ass cause i got so many cavities,so i swore to never eat sweet stuff again.”

thinking of katsuki who hates the summer he hates it for many reasons he hates the way he sweats more than normal making him feel extra sticky,the way he feels the need to slap everyone that talks to him,the heat making him more agitated, but he hates most how its to hot to hold you,to cuddle at night and so much more.

it started on monday when it was a scorching eighty-one degrees plus the humidity making everything extra hot not only did he have to train in this heat but then back at the dorms most of the ac units had broke so everyone was in shorts and tank tops.then came nighttime it was still hot just less humidity you and him were in his dorm laying in bed trying to sleep,comfoter tossed on the floor window up trying to help the air circulation,like any other night katsuki wanted to cuddle,he felt safe in your presence and knowing that you were there so as you were truned on your side he cuddled up behind you hand around your waist then the unthinkable happend you had pushed him off saying something along the lines of

“to hot to cuddle kats” your voice a slight whine

he had huffed out some air and turned away your backs facing each other and thats how it was all week him not being able to hold you through out the night he was soo mad.he had to complian to aizawa who had said “nothing i can do about it tough luck kid” he had been growing heated since the stupid ac had went broke so he marched right up to principal nezu’s office ready to punch the stupid mammal if he doesnt get some cold air and to cuddle his loved one right now.

“principal nezu im begging you please fix this stupid ac i cant even focus on anything with how hot it is”

“im sorry bakugou but we have other things to focus on right now besides the ac” the death stare he gave nezu was petrifying.

so the next day everyone was relieved when the ac was fixed and he was relieved to when he could finally cuddle you again

everyone at UA knew about bakugou,they knew him for a few things like his quirk,fighting style, but they mainly knew him because of bad attitude and personality.everytime he was brought up there was whispers about his personality it was always degrading saying things like

“he’s really loud,gives me a headache”

“i heard he has a really short temper”

“doesnt care about anyone but himself”

you weren’t the type to believe rumors,who did when it seemed like everyone was out to get each other! your school and class was meant to be a team.thats what many in your class liked about you! the way you believed in everyone in class 1-A even if they were a little on the weird-er side but thats just them being them! you thought that even with a bad reputation like his that maybe just maybe theres something deeper than his tough rough around the edge’s personality!

after doing some digging you found out that not many people were close with him,and those few who he would consider somewhat tolerable were either a childhood friend,or their quirks worked well in training.unlucky for you though you had neither, you were just taking a shot in the dark,poking the bear some would say,he couldn’t be all that bad right?

the first time you tried to talk to him he blew you off telling you something about how he “doesnt talk to weaklings” you paid no mind though,you were determined to make him your friend or at the very least an acquaintance.so instead of taking his insults to heart you would fire them back,you had no real reason to fear him after all, so since you had been the first person to not take his insults to heart and instead fire them back you may have peeked his interest just a little bit.

after a while you guys had started to hang out more you would train,study,and sometimes just talk in the common room,everyone found it odd that you had found a way to make acquaintances with him and whenever someone would ask about you would always defend his name

“he’s not all that bad once you get to know him”

“bakugou just has tough time with his words s’all”

“just had to break him out of his shell”

you didn’t mind sticking up for him! it came with all the rumors after all.you guys soon became a well known duo,one not being seen without the other.obviously he got questioned about his relationship with you the way you guys would hang out so often shitty hair would ask him

“whats going on with you and y/n i see you hanging out with her all the time” kirishima would ask

“shes just more tolerable than most s’all”

and sometimes dunce face would ask about you to him

“are you dating y/n? i’ve been wanting to ask her out but if your dating I’ll back off”

“i dont care what you do me and y/n are not a stupid thing dunce face”

all these questions had him questioning everything,he started questioning his feelings even he had those sometimes he wasn’t stupid he knew that you had a thing for him he could tell just by the way you would look at him with so much care and trust.so he decided that he had to tell you off he didn’t care for you that way at all!…right?

so the next monday he saw he decided now was the best time to tell you he didn’t need to be as rude as he was but it was needed.it was during lunch when you were talking with mina when he had interrupted your conversation.

“y/n i need to talk to you”

“one sec me and mina are almost-”

“dont care need you now” and with that he grabbed you up and out of your seat to lead you into a random hallway

“so whats up katsuki? you seem more..tense than normal”

“i dont like you”

“what are you talking about?”

“oh..”they color was draining from your eyes he felt a weird sting in his chest,but he needed to seal the deal

“never have,never will so dont talk to me again kay?” salt in the wound he turned around and walked off

tears had formed in your eyes sure you had a crush on him but not only did he rejected you but you had also lost one of your closest friends.it hurt like no other.so you needed time to heal,time to get your mind off him.you stayed in your room most days,thanks to aizawa latting you take a mental health break you wouldn’t have to many unexplained absences,other days you would train as much as you could letting off steam and getting your mind off things,Mina and the girls would come to your dorm to try and cheer you up or just to hang out and sometimes they would force you out maybe once a week or so just to get you out in the sun.

once you came back you felt better than ever you and your friends were closer,you had gotten stronger,and you had somewhat forgotten all about bakugou.he didn’t forget about you though he questioned if he had did the right thing in the first place,and when he saw you better than ever it hurt a little bit but he payed no mind.

he only did once he saw you training with todoroki,he was the one you would normally train with he knew he was the one that called things off so why did he feel like this? it went from training to studying to hanging out every weekend and he couldn’t be more angry.he was like a ticking time bomb one wrong thing or even the mention of your name and he was cusssing and yelling up a strom.it wasnt until kirishima had questioned him about it that he had realized he messed up.

“bakugou are you sure you okay you’ve been super tense lately man..”

“im fine shitty hair leave me alone”

you and todoroki outside your dorm,you were just woken from your nap,dressed in your pajamas hair slightly disheveled, hello kitty slippers on your feet,he looked more proper, still in his hero costume and he must have been doing the same thing as bakugou because he was holding a bouquet of you favorite flowers,he looked a little nervous then he had started to talk you guys were to far for him to hear anything he just saw how whatever stupid icy hot had said has making you laugh,then he had reached down and kissed you.

bakugos heart had dropped he hoped you would push him off and scream at him for kissing you like that…but you didn’t instead you had reached your hands up and behind his neck playing with the ends of his hair.oh he was fuming the flowers in his hand soon burnt to a crisp.he was feeling all sorts of emotions right now but all he could do was storm off it seemed you had made your choice to forget him and that he was to late.

once middle school was over he had worked on himself no longer being the small fry everyone had remembered him as he had grown taller,and had gained some muscles.he was still a nerd though so did he think anything would change? no he thought high school would be the same but fortunately it wasnt he made a few friends and many people left him alone just like he had wanted was he popular? no but he was fine with that! he went about his days and classes like it was nothing

so it was clear you had to take things into your own hands you had texted him to meet at your local cafe to hangout like normal he didn’t question it just told you to name a time and place. it was a warm sunday you had dressed in one of your favorite outfits and you hoped he would look as cute as always! you had arrived first and asked for a booth, after a little bit the bell to the door had rung you looked up to see your green haired friend you waved him over to sit with you. he shuffled into the seat across from you. after a while your food and drinks cames, you guys were talking like normal but knowing what you were going to ask made your plam sweaty you just had to rip the band aid off!

every weekend you and your boyfriend hanta had “sleepover saturday” wich meant one of you would go to the others dorm,you guys would eat a bunch of snacks,watch whatever moive you wanted,maybe some skincare then hit the hay.it was a simple routine you guys had fell into,you and him cherished it,the long week of training and school falling away as you guys relaxed into each other’s presence.

so thats what led you here you had texted hanta asking about your dorm or his it was his of course his room was so relaxing, the smell of incense and his cologne always wafted through it.once you had confirmed your plans you had went out to get snacks walking to the convince store was something you did together but he wasn’t responding so you went alone listening to your music.

you headed inside the bell of the door ringing throughout the store.you made your way to the candy aisle picking up your favorite candy and his,then you made your way to grab his favorite orange flavored cake,a bag of chips,a couple of drinks, and some random face masks you had saw.you made your way back you assumed you would have responded by now but he didn’t you were starting to grow a little worried but you know he would have told you if something was up.

so after you texting him multiple times that you were on the way to his dorm,you had finally arrived at his door you saw a small amount of light peeking through under the door,so you knew he was awake,you knocked a couple times,only to no response,so you decided to call out to him

you opened the door to see if he was even in here,the smell of his vanilla and cedar wood cologne plus an all to familiar incense filling your nose.you looked around to see if he was in here only to be met with him in his hammock sleeping soundly a big fluffy blanket draped along his body,hair disheveled, drool on his cheek.he looked so calm you didnt want to wake him,you put the bag of snacks down near the door turned off the main light and turned on the little light,you made your way towards him,attempting to tip toe towards him as quietly as you could.

“S’that you?”his voice rough

“yeah i tried not to wake you up,sorry hans”

“its fine just come ere”he lifted the blanket to invite you in

you made your way in the hammock your body lying on top of his your cheek pressed against his chest,his arms draped the blanket back on you guys again,then wrapped around your waist,your bodies now entangled into one on top of the hammock.his hands drawing small shapes on your waist.you were growing tired the comfort of him and his presence slowly relaxing you,taking all the stress away from you.you were fighting this battle of sleep,losing of course,eyes becoming heavier and heavier to keep open.

“love you so much” his voice rumbled out,he planted a small kiss on your forehead then fell asleep,you were being stubborn trying not to fall asleep,you soon did though it was hard not to the way he was drawing patterns on your waist,the comforting cologne,the warm blanket,and most of all his soft heartbeat guiding you through the night of peaceful sleep.

by the time you came back you were in the last year of middle school.it felt weird being back in your childhood neighborhood let alone with all new people.you were sitting in front of your vanity finishing up your make up look for the day,you had already gotten dressed in your school uniform,you were contemplating if you you actually wanted to be back it was odd.everything changed you had changed your still somewhat quite, but your wings had growned,they were now bigger, stronger, you could use them in new ways,and they were well beautiful,you maintained them well.

“y/n come on its time for school” your mother shouted from downstairs.you grabbed your bag,not after checking fifteen times if you had everything.you walked out of your room and down the stairs to see your parents in the living room,watching whatever was on the news.they quickly glanced at you.you waved them goodbye and walked out the door.you started this short walk to school the wind slightly blowing,the sun awake shining down on everything.your grabbed your headphones and put them in playing your playlist.you continued to walk until you reached the front of the school everyone laughing,talking, socializing.

you felt out of place.it was like everyone knew each other already.it was hard trying to ignore the feeling of everyone looking at you,you werent that hard to miss! you had hoped to see one person that green haired boy from your childhood.some random group of kids came up to you while you were walking.they just had started asking you questions when you had heard someone yelling.you quickly looked behind you to see who was yelling only to be met with the loudest guy ever.he was in the hallway yelling something about extras being in his way when he had shoved past you,you scoffed at this who does this guy think that he is? you quickly sent one of your feathers flying after him just to poke him in the back and side a few times.he had stopped dead in his tracks.you quickly retrated the feather back to wing.

“who did that” silence nothing but silence filled the hallway.he turned to face you.he grabbed the collar of your shirt pinning you against the wall.

“i bet it was you huh?”

“so what if it was?”

he scoffed at this “dont think because you’re new here that you’re all that.you’re nothing but a damn extra.”

your back was on fire,the feeling of your wings being smothered against the wall was not a good feeling.he soon dropped you though not without looking you up and down,scoffing then spitting on your shoes of course.you had just gotten these shoes too! after that everyone slowly had faded away from the hallway, you had went to the bathroom to get that guys nasty spit off your shoe,because of this you had been a little late to class,unfortunately for you when you had walked in through the doors of class,everyone had turned to see why the door was opening,you saw him.that raging blonde from before,but on the upperhand you saw those big green eyes from your childhood,you would recognize them anywhere.it was izuku! the teacher called you to the front so you could introduce yourself.you shuffled to the front.

“i’m y/n l/n,and you guys can see what my quirk is” some scattered applause came from around the room. “you can take a seat behind bakugou, and next to midoriya”you made your way back to the seat your teacher had called out.his name was bakugou huh? you did not like him.after what felt like five hundred years of torture the class was finally over.you packed up your stuff and izuku started talking to you.

“hey y/n! its been a minute huh? i see you’ve improved your quirk! your wings look so good have only they improved or has other stuff improved too? where did you go when you disappeared for all those years? i missed you! it was so lonely with out you! you know-”

“izuku! you’re rambling again i see old habits die hard huh? ill tell you everything at lunch just show me where the canteen is.”

“yeah right!”

little did you know,bakugou was listening in on your conversation not on purpose of course i mean who would want to listen to you two extras talk? but he soon grew curious how did you know some random qurikless loser like deku? your quirk looked somewhat powerful and you werent sacred to stick up to him and stand your ground. so it all circled back to the question

you and bakugou had more interactions,well more like arguments and bickering,but you never took them to heart and neither did he! its just how you guys worked.sometimes he would push you,shove you,take a book or two out of your bag and hide them somewhere stupid,you would repay the favor.one day though while you were zoning out during class until you heard your name “lastly bakugou and… l/n will be partners for the project” you nearly fell out of your seat! partners!? and worse a project!? for what! you weren’t even paying attention to what the teacher was saying. bakugou turned around and made eye contact with you.

“lets go we need to plan this shitty project”

“uhm right..”

“do you even know what were doing?”

“no…i was zoned out…”

“were doing a project each others quirks and stuff.”

“oh yeah right…why does this have to be a partnered up project though”

“the teacher wants us to get as much information on each others quirks and compare them”

“oh okay that makes sense..anyways! do you want to come to my house or yours”

you continued on with your normal classes.much to your dismay the day soon came to end meaning you had to meet up with bakugou and do this stupid project.you walking out of the school when you heard his footsteps you didnt say anything,you didnt really have to.you guys had a silent walk to your house.when you arrived you unlocked the door and stepped inside you let him in too,it was odd seeing him in your house, but you payed it no mind.

“hey uhm you can help yourself to anything in the fridge,if you get bored you can go in my room or the living room”

“i thought we were going to my place you idiot”

“we are dont worry i just want to shower and change,wont take long i swear” you said saluting him

“tch better not”

he helped himself to a glass of water and stayed downstairs in the living room.after a bit you came down the stairs,you were changed out of the school uniform in more casual clothes now you had a bag probably filled with stuff for the project.

“okay we can go now!”

he got up from the couch and led the way to his house.surprisingly he didnt live that far from you.he opened the door to his house and you were welcomed with the smell of something amazing.his house was actually quite nice you didn’t even expect the house to even be in tact considering his personality,but hey lets look on the bright side!

“hag were home” he shouted towards the kitchen “my moms going to want to talk to you so do that first and ill be waiting in my room” he walked off

“hi dear! are you one of katsuki’s friends?”

“sure you can say that! we just got partnered for a project is all”

“well thats just lovely! please be patient with him i know he can be a pain in the ass”

“of course mrs.bakugou”

you walked around the house,the walls adorned with family pictures,and vacations.you saw his door and knocked lightly against the wooden material.you walked in and you met with his huge room,posters of bands hanged all around,a huge bed in the corner,you know typical stuff for katsuki.

“lets get the stupid project over with”

you guys had brainstormed,and worked together for hours comparing your quirks,but also talking about how they could work together.when you guys weren’t talking about the project you talk about your guys music taste,your dreams to be a hero,it turned out you had more in common than you thought and maybe katsuki wasnt that bad after all.the sun outside of his window had set, turning from a bright afternoon to a shaded evening.you didn’t even realize the time until his mom had called for dinner and invited you to the table,i mean who were to decline the food smelled heavenly and she was much better company than katsuki so why not! at dinner mrs.bakugou brought up how late it was and if you would be staying the night, okay this one you had to decline no way you were staying the night here!…except she insisted and said she had a spare room for guests that was never used and you could leave in the morning. wouldnt be to bad right?after dinner you helped mrs.bakugou wash up and put dishes away.then you headed to the guest room to sleep.

so the next morning after you woke up you said your thanks to everyone and headed home.as you were on your way home though you ran into izuku! you guys started chatting it up talking about school and some recent drama he had heard.until he invited you to hang out in the park you guys always went to as kids,of course you said yes you finally had time to catch up with your friend! after a while izuku had walked you home and told you he would talk to you at school.

the weekend eneded faster then you would have liked but whatever,the boring classes came back except this time you and katsuki actually talked all week,you could say you guys were at least acquaintances now it was weird at first,but you had grown to like his presence and personality.It was finally friday,and today was the day everyone enrolled into high schools you had enrolled in UA of course! after you turned your paper into the teacher you grabbed your stuff and left,after realizing you had left your phone you went back to class to grab it when you heard two voices no maybe three? who knows you opend the door to see katsuki and his two goons hovering over izuku no had noticed you had walked in except for izuku his eyes latched onto yours silently begging for help.

“what the hell do you think your doing katsuki”your voice broke the laughter, all three of them had turned to look at you.

“teaching this nerd his place…did you know he enrolled in UA? how pathetic is that”

“you have no business telling anyone that”

“dont tell me you actually like this nerd! we all know you hang out with him out of pity”

“i hang out with him because he is my friend, something you would know nothing about”

“your just as stupid as him if you thought we were friends”

“i guess so just get the hell out of here katsuki! and dont talk to me again”you stared right in his eyes,he thought you were joking at first but seeing your face he knew you were serious

“whatever your nerd just like him”

him and his goons had walked out of the classroom.you turned to so izuku he was lightly scratched,and tears threatened to fall you said nothing just helping him up and walking him to the nurses office.good thing this would be one of the last weeks of school,you and izuku could be freed from this place and could enjoy the summer.

the summer finally rolled around you and izuku hanging out more,but you were also a little concerned he seemed to be training harder than ever,but so were you.exams for UA came in no time it seemed,you and izuku stayed strong as ever,katsuki being a fuzzy memory in your mind. till you saw him at the exams he seemed to he the same old person loud,rude,but under all of that he was still a decent person,but you had stood your ground by leaving him alone and him being just as hard headed didnt bother to talk to you.you seemed fine chatting it up and being best friends with izuku.if he hated izuku he definitely hated him now.katsuki didnt know why he had grown to not mind your presence maybe it was the way you werent scared of him,maybe the way you fought back,he didn’t know nor care he just knew he hated you hanging out with izuku.all three of you guys had made it into UA not surprise there though.the school year went on and it seemed like you were always with izuku,katsuki tried talking to you sure but you were true to your word and didnt talk to him,he hated a lot of stuff but this,you ignoring him and izuku taking the spotlight in your life really took the cake.so he started picking on izuku more now,you didnt know of course otherwise you would have put a stop to it immediately.

you found out though izuku had been more distant,appering with more bruises,and he wouldn’t tell you? he was being really suspicious. you were walking around UA campus when you heard some commotion near the fountain you walked over there to see no other than katsuki and izuku,it looked like he was being cornered once again,obviously you rushed over there.

“katsuki what on earth is happening”his head turned at the sound of your voice you finally noticed him of course you payed him some mind when it came to being at izuku’s rescue.

“so now you decide to talk to me?”

“izuku can you leave clearly me an katsuki need to talk”and with that he scurried off

“so what did you have to say to me?”

“…thought you didnt want to talk to me”his voice raspy

“i dont,but you obviously have something say so spit it out,dont think i haven’t noticed you looking at me and whispering”

“why are you always with him?”

“who?…izuku? its because he is my friend”

“and im not? it seems like your always with him and to his rescue,people have been assuming you’re dating”

“so? why are bringing this up”

“because you’re always spending time with him! you left me for him!”

“katsuki…”

“no! you dont ever want to pay me the slightest bit of mind its like you forgot me..but i couldn’t forget you no matter how hard i tried..but i just cant..” hes looking at you now,eyes desperate
