Oh. My. God. I just finished Hang Loose, and OMG. IT WAS AMAZING. You are such a great storyteller, and the plot had me hooked the entire time. I loved the way you wrote the reader, but I also love the way you wrote Bucky. Their interactions always had me smiling like a little school girl. I'm still smiling!! It's incredible how natural their growing love felt. Also, while this is bucky fanfic(and a great one at that), this is so much more. You created a main character with so much depth, that while I was reading for Bucky, I stayed for the main character. I can tell you put so much work into this beautiful story, and THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking the time to create and share this, because Im in love. I can't express my gratitude enough. I hope you have an amazing day/night, and that good things find you 💕

p.s. What inspired you to write this story? And what was your favorite part?

First and foremost, thank you for your ask. This is my first one, and for it to be in regards to something I spent so much time and love on? It means more than I can say. I’m gonna print this out and put it on my fridge lol.

Second, this took a long time to respond to due to the busy nature of my schedule; I appreciate your patience.

Third, in response to your first question, I have always been a writer. I don’t exist without seeing or hearing something that inspires me, or the anti-inspire, where I hate something so much for how it was written I have to rewrite it out of spite. That is all to say, I don’t recall what individual moment inspired me. I started this story a long time before I posted it. My general driving force is my love of strong characters-- flawed characters.

I have read far too many stories, both fandom driven and not, focused on a lead with whom I struggle to relate, or refuse to relate.

I read once that a heroes strength is often their weakness in turn, when it (the trait) is pulled long and thin. I knew I wanted my character to be so strong, undeniably so, to where it is a detriment. And I knew I wanted to write about Bucky.

Most of my ideas for one shots end up turning into these long winded, complex stories because once I start writing, I forget how to stop. Hang Loose is a product of that. I had no idea where the story led until I finished it, and then revised it, and then added and detracted and so on.

My favorite part of the story, as a reader, is probably the romance. I’m a shit writer for it, but a sucker to read it. I can’t view it through an impartial lens to know if it’s good or not, but I know I enjoyed looking back it. (My favorite scene is probably after Reader returns from the warehouse and Bucky helps her upstairs and tucks her in; it’s so soft and cute and I’m proud of how I wrote it.)

My favorite scenes to write are the action ones, and ones where the reader is crass and a bit cruel. I had so much fun starting with the bar fight; it set the scene for the reader and what to expect.

As a whole, I enjoyed writing this story. It reminded me of my love for writing in general, and got me back on the horse. I actually have a few more stories in the works, but I’m chasing down said horse right now.
