so this European clothing retailer decided to advertise their jean cuts on youtube and it's unintentionally the funniest shit I've seen today. why? well.

now important context here: in German, die (pronounced 'dee') is just a feminine article, it literally means "the".

but if an ad gets placed in the middle of an English video and doesn't use a single explicitly German word for most of the ad, even a native speaker is gonna think "they want me to die how?" it keeps getting funnier.

Full context: I was watching a video about Eminem. In 2017 he did a freestyle where he outright said fuck you to any of his fans that support Trump, fully aware that it could cut his (american) fanbase in half. The video I watched wasn't about that, but that's what this commenter is referring to:

It's so interesting to me how so many people think he would be pro-Trump, just because he (Eminem) is all about freedom of speech. Yeah, he has a history of not exactly being politically correct - especially in his Slim Shady persona in the late 90s/early 00s - but I feel like these ppl are clearly missing the nuances of that. But regardless if you like/dislike him for his violent/controversial lyrics (especially early on in his career), or how you feel about him/his music in general...I can't fathom how anyone could ever think that he'd support someone so incredibly racist. Or someone that puts children in cages.
