On the subject of character designs, i have decided on a fun (though likely rarely used/not very important) detail about [SS] in Project Hero.

I haven't really found a nice concise way to explain [SS]'s powers but essentially, physics just work differently for him? Like he is still subject to laws of physics, just... he's subject to a different set of laws than the rest of the world.

His powers are complicated, but most people don't know that because he makes sure that when he uses them publicly that they seem simple.

I've decided he has a whole wardrobe of fancy custom made clothes, that look like just regular clothes but cost an arm and a leg because much like his hero suit they have been specially made so that they are subject to the same laws of physics as he is.

Wearing normal clothing isn't like, debilitating? but he certainly wouldn't want to do that in a fight and it is definitely uncomfortable and frustrating for him.

So now i gotta find some way to work in a scene where he gets stuck having to either borrow some clothes from someone, or buy some off the rack and deal with the consequences.

Or alternatively, some other character in a position of having to borrow some of his clothes, that could be fun too.

Notes game/Challenge

So I have... a few things I need to do for Stars of the Sky. A lot of which is stuff that happens in the background in a story over the story itself. So I am choosing to seek outside motivation because my brain hasn't given me the appropriate motivation otherwise.

So this is a notes game/challenge thing.

I feel like whenever I try to look up videos on this subject I just get videos on how to write character descriptions or how to design characters for primarily visual media

and while there is some useful advice in both of those subjects... that is not what i am looking for xD

What does y'alls character design process look like? Like how do you make decisions about what your characters look like?

My writing background is mostly in fanfic so this is definitely an area that I'm less experienced with, and while i've figured out some character designs for my characters... it is very much not a refined process for me yet so i would love to hear how other people go about it.

That's a totally valid way to do it! That is a major factor in my decisions with regards to like, the gods in project pantheon, and the super heroes in project hero. The more grounded stories though... its a bit harder for me because a lot of that more grounded stuff i don't really care about? like if so-and-so has brown hair or blonde hair it doesn't really make a difference in their coolness so I have a hard time deciding. xD
