Update that you're getting, but not the one you deserve

So uh. I've been stewing on a looootttt of fic ideas. Mostly Moon Knight. But I have ideas for both my TF2 x reader and Wolverine and Sabretooth x reader series!! Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, y'all will be seeing the start of my Moon Knight series before seeing an update to either of my other series. It's been ages since I dusted off my old writing fingies but I'm having a nice time writing this initial Moon Knight series chapter. I will be uploading this new series both on Tumblr and AO3, now that the AO3 situation seems to be handled (?). But don't worry! Updates for my other 2 series will be coming shortly. I've recently been reading some old series I used to regularly keep up with, and was sad after seeing they've gone so long without updates. It made me remember my unfinished series here, and I'm intending to finish or get as close to finishing them as I can. Anyways um. Next post will likely be the first Moon Knight x Reader chapter okay byyyeeeee~

So, first things first; I've changed from "matt-is-satan" to "inkedtoast"!

Second: I'm going to do my best to get back into writing. I haven't really written any fics in a good while, mostly due to a lot of life changes keeping me from being able to. But I keep seeing notifs for this blog popping up and I keep thinking "aw these people aren't gonna see any updates...". Well I've decided that is, in fact, no longer the case. I'm going to try and start with my TF2 mini series, and pick up the Hey There, Stranger! series as well. They've collected dust for long enough lol

Hello! I saw that you reblogged a post saying that you do Lotr and The Hobbit Matchups, and I was wondering if I could possibly request one for both of fandoms. I’m a Bisexual Autistic Girl, and a Writer and aspiring English Major and Professor. I enjoy drawing, writing, reading, learning Irish Gaeilge and Dance, and my main interests include Irish Gaeilge, History, Mythology, Classical Literature, Tolkien and Dark Academia. I’m an INFP Aquarius Ravenclaw.

Appearance-wise, I’m very short, only around 4’ 11” at most, and I have light blue eyes, crooked glasses and very pale skin with lots of moles and blemishes. I have brown hair, but my family also has a trait where our hair tends to start going white quite young, usually around our late 20s, so I have a few lighter strands and patches in my hair because of that. I definitely dress like a Dark Academic, with Turtleneck Sweaters, Wool-lined Corduroy Jackets, White Dress Shirts, Waistcoats, etc.

Romantically, I’d prefer a more subtle relationship that’s not too flashy or overt, and I like the idea of domestic partnership, or platonic/subtly-romantic marriage. something I think we all know about fanfic, but don’t talk about because it would hurt writers feelings is that some fics are like fast food. I mean this as a compliment. I don’t always want to sit down for a six course meal that will be a flavor experience. Sometimes I just wanna dip some fries in a frosty. Sometimes I want something homecooked and delicious and super niche, but super comforting. Sometimes I want to eat an entire dark chocolate cheesecake in one sitting even though I know Its gonna make me sick. Just. holy crap, y’all. Sometimes I don’t even want fast food, I just want to eat an entire bag of chips. and yeah, I’m ashamed of myself afterwards, but at the time it was exactly what I wanted. So, no, we’re never going to say to our fanfic writers that we consider their writing to be the equivalent of a midnight run to taco bell - and we shouldn’t, feelings would be hurt by that. But writers, please, please, please, remember this. You don’t need to create a six course meal if you don’t want to. You don’t have to make something complex and homemade if you don’t want to. You don’t even have to finish cooking it - because someone will be thrilled that you brought a bowl of cookie dough and a spoon, because they cannot even consider sitting down and having a proper meal right now. It’s okay writers, whatever you decided to make. Someone was happy to have it. You gave them what they needed. You made them happy. You did good.
