A (as of now) 'lesser-known' voice from the depths of the Asylum, offering willing listeners an insight on the happenings there. Of course, this won't be coming from the maximum security wing; too many ears and eyes for any freedom of speech to be properly practiced there. Regardless, it really is a fascinating world in here. OC Pride Themed Ask Game
It's 1am and I'm denying the Horrors that await me. Please remember: If you REBLOG from someone, SEND THEM AN ASK (not applicable to me, please don't ask me my own questions /lh) -------------------------------------------------------
How sheltered was your OC from the idea of LGBTQ+ relationships when they were younger? How has it impacted their relationship with themselves?
Does/has your OC struggle(d) with internalized homophobia? How have they learned to cope, if at all?
When did your OC realize that they may be different from other people?
Who was your OC most comfortable talking to about their feelings?
Is your OC out? How did their parents/guardians handle it? Siblings? If they're selectively out, who are they out to?
Does your OC celebrate pride? How? Would they ever buy pride merch?
How much of your OC's identity is reliant on their gender identity/sexuality?
What's a stereotype about your OC's orientation that they hate? What's one they (accidentally) live up to?
What/when was their first queer relationship? How did it go? If they're aro, have they tried a romantic relationship before? Or only QPRs?
What's something your OC knows now, (in regards to their sexuality/orientation), that they wish they could have clarified or guided their younger self through?
How would your OC handle someone coming out to them?
How would your OC deal with a homophobe? Would this reaction be different if the person was targeting someone else?
What pronouns does your OC use? If someone (accidentally) misgendered them, would they correct them?
How would your OC describe their sexuality/gender to a kid?
How long did it take for your OC to accept themselves? What factors played into it?
Is your OC an activist for LGBTQ+ rights? How engaged are they?
Would your OC ever participate in drag? What would their stage name/personality be?
Was there a significant impact on emotional/mental/spiritual health after your OC realized they were LGBTQ+?
Does your OC deal with body dysmorphia? How do they cope?
How much does your OC know/understand about the gender/sexuality spectrum?
Has your OC ever had a friend of the same gender that they had feelings for, but never admitted to? (or been rejected after admission?)
Has your OC's fashion sense changed since coming out? How so?
How does your OC's ideal body differ from the one they currently have?
Did your OC identify differently when they first came out as opposed to how they identify now?
Does your OC celebrate their "coming out" anniversary? How so?
Has your OC made any non-surgical body modifications to help embrace their identity? (Piercings, tattoos, hair dye/cut, etc.)
Did your OC ever get jealous over other people before coming out? How did that translate into their day to day lives?
Is your OC more likely to want a QPR or a romantic relationship?
If your OC plans on getting married one day, what are they, (and their partner(s)) wearing on their special day? (Feel free to elaborate on the whole event if you want to)
Does your OC ever deal with guilt for their "decision" to identify as they do? How do they cope with it?
Sorry if any of these are repetitive lol again its like 1am. Happy pride month lmao

"Cinderella, you're as lovely as your name"
I guess I'm still in a Cinderella mood. Here's some new, and some old doodles I dusted off and finished.
The 1950 animated film always carries a really warm and lovely sense of comfort whenever I watch it. I'll always defend this characterization and interpretation of Cinderella - she's very underrated and a lot stronger than some give her credit for, due to misremembering the movie or ignoring key details about her.

🌟 A Cry for Help: My Family’s Struggle to Survive in Gaza 🌟
🙌Verified by Butterfly effect project line 355

Before everything I'm writing this and my kids are starving they don't have anything to eat. I'm begging you to save my kids from this famine 🙏🙏‼️🥺🙏
Hello, my name is Areej Kassab. I’m a 27-year-old English teacher and writer from Gaza, and I’m reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a desperate plea for support. My family and I are enduring unimaginable hardships as relentless bombings devastate our home and our dreams.
We are a family of 15—10 adults and 5 children. Every day is a battle for survival. Food is scarce, humanitarian aid is not reaching us, and my little nieces and nephews go to bed hungry. Among them is my sister, who is deaf, and another sister who has a newborn baby. They, too, are suffering in this crisis, and I’m doing everything I can to protect and provide for them.
💔 A Life in Ruins
The war has robbed us of everything: safety, peace, and even the hope of a future here. My family’s needs are basic yet critical—food, clean water, diapers for the babies, gas for cooking, and other essentials to make it through each day.
With rising prices and limited access to necessities, we are struggling to provide even the most basic items. My sister’s home has been destroyed, and we are working together to ensure everyone has shelter, food, and warmth.
✨ My Plea for Your Support ✨
I’m a writer, and I’ve been documenting the harsh realities faced by my community under siege. But words can only do so much. We need action, and we need help. Your kindness can save us.
🙏 How You Can Help
Donate: Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us closer to securing the essentials we desperately need.
Share Our Story: If you can’t donate, please share this post to help us reach others who can.
Your support will help provide food for the children, clean water for my family, and basic supplies to help us survive this unimaginable crisis.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for standing in solidarity with us. Together, we can create a lifeline for my family—a chance to live, to dream, and to hope again.
With love and gratitude,
Areej Kassab ❤️

So I'm sure there's something similar to this floating around here, but I haven't seen it yet. So I'm cannibalizing a reddit post to put it here
The definition of "harm" is being changed on May 19th under The Endangered Species Act to allow logging, mining, and construction in previously protected areas. This is your last chance to voice your concerns.
Took me 3 minutes to submit a comment something to the effect of "Damaging their habitat is the same as killing them." and "I don't want the only bald eagles my children see to be pictures in a book about extinct species." It doesn't have to be long or verbose or even good. Just slap your dissenting opinion in there, be clear about it and hit send.
PLEASE COMMENT, this may be our last chance to protect our national treasures from irreparable damage! I have included two links going into further detail for those so inclined, please please please take this time to look into what is being proposed in The Endangered Species Act.

The Anatomy of Passing Out: When, Why, and How to Write It
Passing out, or syncope, is a loss of consciousness that can play a pivotal role in storytelling, adding drama, suspense, or emotional weight to a scene. Whether it’s due to injury, fear, or exhaustion, the act of fainting can instantly shift the stakes in your story.
But how do you write it convincingly? How do you ensure it’s not overly dramatic or medically inaccurate? In this guide, I’ll walk you through the causes, stages, and aftermath of passing out. By the end, you’ll be able to craft a vivid, realistic fainting scene that enhances your narrative without feeling clichéd or contrived.
2. Common Causes of Passing Out
Characters faint for a variety of reasons, and understanding the common causes can help you decide when and why your character might lose consciousness. Below are the major categories that can lead to fainting, each with their own narrative implications.
Physical Causes
Blood Loss: A sudden drop in blood volume from a wound can cause fainting as the body struggles to maintain circulation and oxygen delivery to the brain.
Dehydration: When the body doesn’t have enough fluids, blood pressure can plummet, leading to dizziness and fainting.
Low Blood Pressure (Hypotension): Characters with chronic low blood pressure may faint after standing up too quickly, due to insufficient blood reaching the brain.
Intense Pain: The body can shut down in response to severe pain, leading to fainting as a protective mechanism.
Heatstroke: Extreme heat can cause the body to overheat, resulting in dehydration and loss of consciousness.
Psychological Causes
Emotional Trauma or Shock: Intense fear, grief, or surprise can trigger a fainting episode, as the brain becomes overwhelmed.
Panic Attacks: The hyperventilation and increased heart rate associated with anxiety attacks can deprive the brain of oxygen, causing a character to faint.
Fear-Induced Fainting (Vasovagal Syncope): This occurs when a character is so afraid that their body’s fight-or-flight response leads to fainting.
Environmental Causes
Lack of Oxygen: Situations like suffocation, high altitudes, or enclosed spaces with poor ventilation can deprive the brain of oxygen and cause fainting.
Poisoning or Toxins: Certain chemicals or gasses (e.g., carbon monoxide) can interfere with the body’s ability to transport oxygen, leading to unconsciousness.
3. The Stages of Passing Out
To write a realistic fainting scene, it’s important to understand the stages of syncope. Fainting is usually a process, and characters will likely experience several key warning signs before they fully lose consciousness.
Pre-Syncope (The Warning Signs)
Before losing consciousness, a character will typically go through a pre-syncope phase. This period can last anywhere from a few seconds to a couple of minutes, and it’s full of physical indicators that something is wrong.
Light-Headedness and Dizziness: A feeling that the world is spinning, which can be exacerbated by movement.
Blurred or Tunnel Vision: The character may notice their vision narrowing or going dark at the edges.
Ringing in the Ears: Often accompanied by a feeling of pressure or muffled hearing.
Weakness in Limbs: The character may feel unsteady, like their legs can’t support them.
Sweating and Nausea: A sudden onset of cold sweats, clamminess, and nausea is common.
Rapid Heartbeat (Tachycardia): The heart races as it tries to maintain blood flow to the brain.
Syncope (The Loss of Consciousness)
When the character faints, the actual loss of consciousness happens quickly, often within seconds of the pre-syncope signs.
The Body Going Limp: The character will crumple to the ground, usually without the ability to break their fall.
Breathing: Breathing continues, but it may be shallow and rapid.
Pulse: While fainting, the heart rate can either slow down dramatically or remain rapid, depending on the cause.
Duration: Most fainting episodes last from a few seconds to a minute or two. Prolonged unconsciousness may indicate a more serious issue.
Post-Syncope (The Recovery)
After a character regains consciousness, they’ll typically feel groggy and disoriented. This phase can last several minutes.
Disorientation: The character may not immediately remember where they are or what happened.
Lingering Dizziness: Standing up too quickly after fainting can trigger another fainting spell.
Nausea and Headache: After waking up, the character might feel sick or develop a headache.
Weakness: Even after regaining consciousness, the body might feel weak or shaky for several hours.
4. The Physical Effects of Fainting
Fainting isn’t just about losing consciousness—there are physical consequences too. Depending on the circumstances, your character may suffer additional injuries from falling, especially if they hit something on the way down.
Impact on the Body
Falling Injuries: When someone faints, they usually drop straight to the ground, often hitting their head or body in the process. Characters may suffer cuts, bruises, or even broken bones.
Head Injuries: Falling and hitting their head on the floor or a nearby object can lead to concussions or more severe trauma.
Scrapes and Bruises: If your character faints on a rough surface or near furniture, they may sustain scrapes, bruises, or other minor injuries.
Physical Vulnerability
Uncontrolled Fall: The character’s body crumples or falls in a heap. Without the ability to brace themselves, they are at risk for further injuries.
Exposed While Unconscious: While fainted, the character is vulnerable to their surroundings. This could lead to danger in the form of attackers, environmental hazards, or secondary injuries from their immediate environment.
Signs to Look For While Unconscious
Shallow Breathing: The character's breathing will typically become shallow or irregular while they’re unconscious.
Pale or Flushed Skin: Depending on the cause of fainting, a character’s skin may become very pale or flushed.
Twitching or Muscle Spasms: In some cases, fainting can be accompanied by brief muscle spasms or jerking movements.
5. Writing Different Types of Fainting
There are different types of fainting, and each can serve a distinct narrative purpose. The way a character faints can help enhance the scene's tension or emotion.
Sudden Collapse
In this case, the character blacks out without any warning. This type of fainting is often caused by sudden physical trauma or exhaustion.
No Warning: The character simply drops, startling both themselves and those around them.
Used in High-Tension Scenes: For example, a character fighting in a battle may suddenly collapse from blood loss, raising the stakes instantly.
Slow and Gradual Fainting
This happens when a character feels themselves fading, usually due to emotional stress or exhaustion.
Internal Monologue: The character might have time to realize something is wrong and reflect on what’s happening before they lose consciousness.
Adds Suspense: The reader is aware that the character is fading but may not know when they’ll drop.
Dramatic Fainting
Some stories call for a more theatrical faint, especially in genres like historical fiction or period dramas.
Exaggerated Swooning: A character might faint from shock or fear, clutching their chest or forehead before collapsing.
Evokes a Specific Tone: This type of fainting works well for dramatic, soap-opera-like scenes where the fainting is part of the tension.
6. Aftermath: How Characters Feel After Waking Up
When your character wakes up from fainting, they’re not going to bounce back immediately. There are often lingering effects that last for minutes—or even hours.
Physical Recovery
Dizziness and Nausea: Characters might feel off-balance or sick to their stomach when they first come around.
Headaches: A headache is a common symptom post-fainting, especially if the character hits their head.
Body Aches: Muscle weakness or stiffness may persist, especially if the character fainted for a long period or in an awkward position.
Emotional and Mental Impact
Confusion: The character may not remember why they fainted or what happened leading up to the event.
Embarrassment: Depending on the situation, fainting can be humiliating, especially if it happened in front of others.
Fear: Characters who faint from emotional shock might be afraid of fainting again or of the situation that caused it.
7. Writing Tips: Making It Believable
Writing a fainting scene can be tricky. If not handled properly, it can come across as melodramatic or unrealistic. Here are some key tips to ensure your fainting scenes are both believable and impactful.
Understand the Cause
First and foremost, ensure that the cause of fainting makes sense in the context of your story. Characters shouldn’t pass out randomly—there should always be a logical reason for it.
Foreshadow the Fainting: If your character is losing blood, suffering from dehydration, or undergoing extreme emotional stress, give subtle clues that they might pass out. Show their discomfort building before they collapse.
Avoid Overuse: Fainting should be reserved for moments of high stakes or significant plot shifts. Using it too often diminishes its impact.
Balance Realism with Drama
While you want your fainting scene to be dramatic, don’t overdo it. Excessively long or theatrical collapses can feel unrealistic.
Keep It Short: Fainting typically happens fast. Avoid dragging the loss of consciousness out for too long, as it can slow down the pacing of your story.
Don’t Always Save the Character in Time: In some cases, let the character hit the ground. This adds realism, especially if they’re fainting due to an injury or traumatic event.
Consider the Aftermath
Make sure to give attention to what happens after the character faints. This part is often overlooked, but it’s important for maintaining realism and continuity.
Lingering Effects: Mention the character’s disorientation, dizziness, or confusion upon waking up. It’s rare for someone to bounce back immediately after fainting.
Reactions of Others: If other characters are present, how do they react? Are they alarmed? Do they rush to help, or are they unsure how to respond?
Avoid Overly Romanticized Fainting
In some genres, fainting is used as a dramatic or romantic plot device, but this can feel outdated and unrealistic. Try to focus on the genuine physical or emotional toll fainting takes on a character.
Stay Away from Clichés: Avoid having your character faint simply to be saved by a love interest. If there’s a romantic element, make sure it’s woven naturally into the plot rather than feeling forced.
8. Common Misconceptions About Fainting
Fainting is often misrepresented in fiction, with exaggerated symptoms or unrealistic recoveries. Here are some common myths about fainting, and the truth behind them.
Myth 1: Fainting Always Comes Without Warning
While some fainting episodes are sudden, most people experience warning signs (lightheadedness, blurred vision) before passing out. This gives the character a chance to notice something is wrong before losing consciousness.
Myth 2: Fainting Is Dramatic and Slow
In reality, fainting happens quickly—usually within a few seconds of the first warning signs. Characters won’t have time for long speeches or dramatic gestures before collapsing.
Myth 3: Characters Instantly Bounce Back
Many stories show characters waking up and being perfectly fine after fainting, but this is rarely the case. Fainting usually leaves people disoriented, weak, or even nauseous for several minutes afterward.
Myth 4: Fainting Is Harmless
In some cases, fainting can indicate a serious medical issue, like heart problems or severe dehydration. If your character is fainting frequently, it should be addressed in the story as a sign of something more severe.

This with Kingsley; he's probably my favorite of your OC's besides René - Those two my top faves!!!
Name: What does your twst OC's name mean? Why does Rook/Floyd call them [insert nickname]?
Hihi!! Thank you for the ask!
From the Oxford English Dictionary (2013), Kingsley is a modernization of the Old English name, "Cyningesleah". "Cyning" (King) and "leah" (woodland clearing) are the two morphemes that are used in the name, coming to a rough translation of "from the king's glade".
Tyr is actually the surname of one of the protagonist characters from the source material he is twisted from, The Chronicles of Prydain. From what I have learned in researching is that "tyr" is the 3rd-person, present/future tense conjugation of the verb "torri" in Cymraeg (Welsh), which most commonly translates as "to break" (Source). While it's entirely possible that this meaning may not be correct, any other source I found seems to say the same thing. So I'm guessing this is it. **
**I am fully aware that Týr is also the name of an Old Norse god, often referenced heavily in the Prose Edda. The Oxford English Dictionary (2013) also indicates that Týr in Old Norse likely just meant "god" or "deity" as well. That said, the Prose Edda and Norse mythos had no bearing on my choices for Kingsley's name.
Rook actually has TWO names for Kingsley, depending on when in his timeline he is being referenced:
Les Cornes de Lamentation (if I have done my translation work correctly, should translate to "the Horns of Lamentation") is in reference to his desire to become the next Horned King.
And later Roi de Squelettes ("King of Skeletons") once Kingsley earns his Unique Magic.
Floyd refers to Kingsley as Hatchetfish. I feel as though the name on this one is fairly easy to guess, as it references his hand axes.

The Tower
Featuring @ramshacklerumble 's Yuu, Gia.
As you all may have guessed, I don't have enough TWST OCs to completely fill up the Major Arcana. So... I decided to call in some help and reached out to a few friends that I have developed dynamics and interactions with over the course of the year. I consulted them on picking out which OCs and assigning them to the cards. I also have kept them in the loop regarding WIPs and sketch ideas, to make sure I am representing their OCs adequately. I'm not going to lie, it's been a wonderful way to get to know folks's OCs on a deeper level.
I personsally don't have a Yuu for a handful of reasons. I've found it honestly makes it much easier to collab with other people, and to be honest, I personally struggle with the idea of self-inserts. Not that I have anything against them, but I really struggle conceptually with imagining myself in fictional settings. So the fact that there are other folks I can happily work with who really love their yuusonas makes it an all-around better time.
Following the actual story of TWST, Gia (Yuu) felt like the most accurate choice for representing the Tower. The day that the Ramshackle Prefect showed up was the day things rapidly began to change at NRC. The collective understanding about how "things were supposed to go" was instantly put into question, and incident after incident without repreive unfolded with the Prefect at the crux of it. The Prefect is the Tower.

hi!!! is there by chance the png version of the characters signatures? I'm specifically looking for azuls, but the card bg makes it hard for me to isolate the text.... feel free to ignore this!!!
If you're referring to the ones on the platinum jacket cards, I don't think those are in the game as pngs in the game itself, though I do recall them being posted on social media before hte cards came out, so maybe they're somewhere?

This is what I had saved, and also there's this tweet: Link

For the otome ask:
It's Ren or Tea: I don't know what else to tell you xD
OKAY OKAY OKAY SO
I'm glad you mentioned Tea, because the truth of the matter is that with him, he would be a wonderful choice for a route, even if you'd have to meet certain requirements to unlock his hidden route.
But the second it's available? All it would take is really a visit to Fleur City to meet him. Toussaint Anatole is a young man about town, thriving and flourishing, and your first meeting, even if you wind up having the worst of circumstances, would still see Toussaint being kind to you.
After the first encounter, it wouldn't be long before you have a second, and it'd become clear that the boy nicknamed "Tea" walked away with a positive opinion of you the first time and he wants to get to know you. He'd ask questions about you and engage with you on whatever subject of discussion catches your interest. It'd be very hard to put him off of conversation, and he would ask about exchanging a means of keeping in contact.
He would reach out to you to invite you to something. An unofficial date to test the waters. See, Tea wants a great romance like his mother and his stepfather found, and he would be proactive in pursuing a courtship of you. There would be no mistake of his feelings. His route doesn't have even a bad ending; at most there's an ending where you both decide you're better off friends. You have various levels of good endings instead, with the best ending being a marriage proposal.
...
Meanwhile, Ren is over here right now, getting more and more flattered and bashful people keep picking him as an option. It fits though! Even if he's greyromantic, Ren doesn't have trouble falling in love and he is polyamorous, and he's genuinely a secret softie, so I guess this man really does have the "ROMANCEABLE" stamp of approval on him.
#HOW#DARE YOU#giving me a response this adorable should be illegal#*blushy blushy*#You cannot be giving me the image of Toussaint sweeping me off my feet#and then follow it up with a bashful Ren#a BASHFUL Ren?!#And then expect me to be able to go to sleep without giggling and kicking my feet like a goddamn schoolgirl#AHHHHHHHH!#No but in all seriousness thank you: this was really sweet <3
