My dog's really a study in Buddhism. He can see my muffin wrapper and he's miserable. Crying. He needs to eat my muffin wrapper so bad.

I get up and throw it away. He forgets about it immediately and happily goes to sleep.

Society teaches you that to be fulfilled and happy you should find a good man, settle down get married, have a baby. That’s what I was striving for society’s version of perfection. But all you really need is to be true to yourself, honest with yourself and that’s how you truly get happy and fulfilled

Anyway, there is NO evidence that porn has any real effects on someone's behavior and plenty of evidence that the negative behaviors attributed to porn, like violence against women, are caused by social factors instead of porn, which can only reinforce those existing ideas.

There's also no evidence that porn addiction exists. It's either people thinking that they watch an excessive amount of porn (I'll get to that) or people unknowingly struggling with hypersexuality, a symptom of multiple mental illnesses and often a trauma response characterized by an unhealthy relationship with sex.

(Or it's just fundamentalist Christian bullshit about how pleasure is addictive in general.)

Statistically speaking, most people think that their masturbation and porn habits are excessive or unnatural, and the vast majority of those people fit into the averages for those things. They do what everyone else is doing, they just think it's wrong and bad because we live in a puritan society.

There's been tons of studies done on this over decades and it's been proven time and time again that porn isn't dangerous for viewers. The only studies that support the idea that porn is dangerous are all, you guessed it, either funded by conservative groups or run by Christian organizations and universities.
