DIVE AMAZING | TENGGOL ISLAND
Tenggol Island is a modest island located on the East Coast of Malaysia in Terengganu.
Tenggol is less explored, relatively un-commercialised, and offers a natural experience. Expect a much quieter and idyllic experience compared to other destinations!
My brother, Sean and his company’s colleague had the chance to visit Pulau Tenggol, a small island at Terranganu, Malaysia over the Hari Raya long weekend.
They will stay at the Tenggol Island Beach Resort, which is very well-maintained and furnished despite the 'natural' feel of the island.
Rooms are air-conditioned, complete with bathrooms and hot showers!
It is definitely clean and comfortable enough for divers to feel well-rested for another day of diving.
Let's jump straight to the scuba diving!
Get ready to be wowed by pristine coral formations that come in a myriad of colours. The architecture of the dives sites never fail to surprise: walls, sloping reefs and swim-throughs create a unique world underwater.
One of the main thing about this island here is their corals are still remain very beautifully intact.
The best you would enjoy is the clownfish.
They’ll all agree that the experience of a dive trip will not be complete without great company, right?
Surface intervals and nights were spent goofing along the beach, sharing photos/videos of our dives, playing games and simply having so much fun!
It’s amazing how this group can come together so naturally!
Come let’s have some fun! -Tenggol Lovers.

Snorkeled with Shark!- Payar Island- Langkawi
Langkawi’s Pulau Payar Marine Park is one of Malaysia’s most beautiful and popular site to snorkel and scuba-dive.
My friend, Boon Long and his family were trip to Payar Island Marine Park, Langkawi happened many months ago.
Now, it's time to get start enjoying!
There are not much clear blue water in Langkawi because it is commercialized and polluted by the tourists so my friend highly recommend me to choose to take a ferry to this island called Pulau Payar Marine Park.
My stomach is ringing. Let's have some food. Buffet is provided on the platform.
After satisfied my stomach, it's time for beach. We took boat to a beach near by. Cool! Again, the scenery is really nice! I love it so much! I feel so relax over there.
From Kuah jetty, they took a 45 minutes’ boat ride on a speedboat to Pulau Payar Island, just 30km south of the main island. Everyone will be given a life-vest aboard the speedboat. This is a popular site for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts.
Here we go...They can't wait to jump in! Oh by the way, this island does not provide any fresh water except your drinking water. So basically if you want to bath, the water is sea water. Well, I prepared to just dried myself up and wait until I reach the hotel.
Err...are those sharks? That's what I am here for, said by my friend! Don't worry that these are baby blacktip reef sharks which are harmless in a sense. Unless you plan to feed them with your hands or provoke them by scaring them, then you are really inviting trouble for yourself because they are not good at differentiating which is the food and which is your hand.
If you are braver than me though, do explore the deeper side of the water. You can see some of the pretty and colorful corals that are famous in Payar Island.
Enjoyable moment passes faster. Our trip came to the end. They took ferry back to Penang.
Have a great weekend!!

JEWEL OF THE SULU SEA! _LANKAYAN ISLAND_
Lankayan Island is considered by many travellers to be the most beautiful island in Malaysia. It’a tiny islands located in the Sulu Sea, northeast of the island of Borneo, in the state of Sabah, just 15 km from Sandakan.
My aunt and her family stay in tasteful and comfortable wooden chalets at this unspoilt island gem, where private balconies offer a scenic spot to marvel at the never-ending fine white sands and gorgeous turquoise Sulu Sea.
It was clean and modern. So when they opened our balcony doors in the morning, they had a stunning view over the beautiful sea.
As well as ensuring that the marine life around the east coast of Sabah is protected this organisation also provides 24 hour care for sea turtles, who lay their eggs on the island. They very lucky enough to witness a nest of baby turtles being released into the sea.
Lankayan Island is a true Macro world paradise. Saved are large stretches of beautiful hard and soft corals, among which are multitudes of macro world subjects and tropical fishes.
There is a blue- star fish.
The resort had included three meals per day and afternoon snacks, which was always good, tasty and even healthy.
For travelers who want to experience the lush tropical rainforest, get up close and personal with the wildlife and wrap it up with a sojourn on a gorgeous island paradise, Sandakan-Lankayan Island is the place to go

Pulau Lang Tengah- “eagle in the middle”
Pulau Lang Tengah is a small island where located in Kuala Terengganu and it is between the popular tropical islands which is Perhentian Island and Redang Island.
To get to the Lang Tengah island you must get a boat ride from the Merang Jetty.
There are no roads on this island so the only way for us to get around is by boat.
Lang Tengah Island holds only 4 resort operators, in order to ensure a peaceful visit and we had choose the Summer Bay Resort to stay.
It is a nice place to relax where you have a cup of juice and sunbathing under the sun or sitting down and enjoying the view of the beach. You can diving and snorkeling around the island.
This view is really looks like a beautiful painting. The white sandy beach, crystal clear water is enough for the reason to be here.

Pulau Alur & Pulau Dayang
Pulau Aur and Pulau Dayang are the two furthermost islands from the mainland of Peninsular Malaysia. They are a 2-hour speedboat ride from Mersing (approximately 76km-journey) and boast arguably the clearest water due to its remoteness from the mainland.
A nostalgic wooden jetty leading to Sebukang Bay .
We began Day 2 with snorkeling trips in the morning followed by an island hopping trip to Pulau Dayang. The first snorkeling spot was Teluk Meriam. The water here is really clear and you can see the corals beneath with your bare eyes.
There was also a shore snorkeling spot at Teluk Pahanan where we just snorkeled, chilled by the shore and did some rock diving! The view here is really beautiful with marine blue seas all around. I think the rock diving must be the most exciting thing to do here!

Pulau Sembilan- The Amazing Blue Sand Trip.
Pulau Sembilan is an archipelago of nine islands located at the West coast of Perak, Malaysia. Sembilan is the Malay word for "Nine". As Pulau Sembilan is under the conservation of the State, only registered travel agencies are able set up their base and bring tourists to the islands.
Sungai Burung Jetty
The beach of Pulau Lalang was pretty long and narrow. Sand was on the coarse side and water was not as clear as what I saw at Pulau Rawa. But wave was definitely stronger here.
It wasn't until about 8:15pm that we began to see the first blue sand. There were only very few but enough to get us excited! Can you see the tiny blue sand? Few Blue Sands appeared after we brushed our slippers against the beach.

Pulau Pemanggil, Mersing, Johor.
Pulau Pemanggil is another island within the Johor Marine Park which is famous for its rocky cliffs and rich sea life (haven for fishing!). It is located at around 56km off Mersing Jetty, which translates to approximately 1.5-hour speedboat ride journey from Mersing.
The Landing Beach Resort was a little rundown so do not expect a chalet type of resort. As it is built on the cliffs, we need to climb pretty steep stairs and rocks to get to our room and check in lounge. Nevertheless, the view from up here pretty much made up for the climb. Staffs at Lanting Beach Resort are mostly Indonesians and they do not speak good English. But they were friendly enough in my opinion and being a local I had no problem communicating with them.
The highlight of our trip is the second day, as we left the shore for a full-day round-the-island snorkeling trip. The cost of the trip is RM30 per person and the snorkeling equipment is rented at RM15. Activities around the Pulau Pemanggil and coral life are not the best, even though I have seen the jelly fish and corals faintly.

Pulau Tinggi- The Best Island for Beach Getaways!
Pulau Tinggi got its name from its tall peak - "Tinggi" in Malay means tall. Located at about 40 minutes speed boat ride from Johor Tanjung Leman Jetty, Pulau Tinggi is an island that you will not fail to miss whenever you head out to the waters of the Johor Sultan Iskandar Marine Park.
I booked my stay at TAd Marine Resort located at Kampung Pasir Panjang. There were some minor renovation going on beside the reception building but it wasn't too disturbing. I stayed at one of the Standard Seaview Rooms - Teratai Room 63.
Although the beach was generally clean, there was some degree of sand flies buzzing around here. So make sure to put on ample insect repellent and also pack some with you if you are sensitive to these bugs.
If you are traveling with a few friends, do give the kayak a try! When I was at Pulau Tinggi, there was a family group kayaking by the shore and it seemed really fun! The rental for kayak is RM20/person.

Pulau Papan, the discovery beautiful in Borneo.
That day I and my colleagues have made a trip to one of the islands located around Labuan Island. The island we decided to go was Island Board. Actually, I do not know any other islands around Labuan Island. But, the longer it stays here, the more beautiful places I know. So, when they say they want to make fun trip to Papan Island. My excited excitement spiked. Well, I am a nature lovers FYI.
Papan Pulau is one of the six islands in the vicinity of the Federal Territory of Labuan. Once the island was used as a place for the lighthouse to signal the past ships here. But, it has now been developed for tourism purposes. This island is not far from Labuan Island. Just 5 minutes ride by boat.
Located off the coast of Labuan Island, Papan Island promises a beautiful, beautiful beachfront, relaxing setting. Of course, it's an interesting destination for snorkeling activities, picnics or crossing the jungle here.

The most beautiful islands in the Celebes Sea-Pulau Sibuan, Sabah.
Sibuan Island is said to be one of the most beautiful islands in the Celebes Sea. Beside the island Sibuan Bodgaya, Boheydulang, Tetagan, Sebangkat, Selakan, Maiga and Mantabuan. To reach Sibuan Island, I took an Asian Airlines flight to the coastal city of Tawau. From Tawau Airport, my friend and I took a taxi (about RM100+) to Semporna Village, a 1.5-hour tour of the endless palm oil plantation.
To getting to the place first you must get yourself to the Sempurna Jetty. But it was just a cloudy day, so I was afraid that the waves were too big to sail. Boats at the port of Semporna travel to the nearby tropical islands. It takes approximately 40 minutes to get to Sibuan by speed boat.
Soon, I arrived at the end! I was stunned by the scenery in front of me! This is the first time I have seen such a clear combination of clear water and blue sky!
A visit to Sibuan Island is usually part of a day trip from one of the other islands (like Mataking), or part of a day trip from Semporna (at Sabah's southeast coast). Sibuan is especially great for swimming, scuba diving, snorkeling and sun bathing. But don't forget to bring enough sunscreen, water and snacks with you when you visit the island. This is because my bro forgot to preprare the sunblock then directly enjoyed the sun bath!!

Pulau Kapas-The Best Destination For 'Weekend Chill' with Friends.
During the pass semester break, my freind, Jia Xin had the opportunity to travel to Pulau Kapas on a short trip with her family. She really wants to go to the island. There is a plan for the plan, the last one is Pulau Kapas, Terengganu. Pulau Kapas is the best choice for the short trip. Drive from Johor Bahru for at least 7 hours and from Marang jetty to the island about 15 - 20 minutes.
She boyfriend said snorkelling at Pulau Kapas is an event not to be missed. No need to take a boat all the way, snorkelling in the coastal area is enough, you will be impressed. The underwater scenery here is full of colorful corals and swimming fish. Happy story, it's hard to stop when it starts, because the lake is so!
If you want to know, the island of Kapas between the coral islands is beautiful in Malaysia and there is a marine garden area, so the corals here are sober because they are declared as marine parks. There are some places that do not allow robots.
She chose to stay at Kapas Coral Resort because it is located near the rocks and can see a variety of beautiful fish and corals.

Pulau Tioman - The most famous island on the eastern side of the peninsula Malaysia.
Pulau Tioman is one of the most famous island in Malaysia which located at the Southern East Coast of Peninsular Malaysia.
In 1970, the Time magazine has reported that this Pulau Tioman is one of the most beautiful islands in the world.
To getting to the place first you must get yourself to the Mersing Jetty, then get a ferry ticket at the Mersing Jetty counter.
The journey takes around 1.5 hours to Tioman. There are a few jetty stops at Tioman, the boat will stop at the beach depends on which beach resort you stay. There has quite number of beautiful resorts so you can choose which that you affordable.
The beaches in Pulau Tioman are very beautiful with blue water and white sand.
You can swim as you like.
Pulau Tioman is the island that is well known for its wonderful diving and snorkeling possibilities. It is the paradise for those who loves diving and snorkeling.
Except these two activities you can have other nice things to do like jungle tracking, fishing
There have many nice waterfalls which you can visit, you can also enjoy some aquatic sports at some beaches.
The best time to visit Pulau Tioman is between March and October. Many of the resorts are closed during the end of October to the beginning of March because of the northeast monsoon transforms this tropical gem into a desolated place. Due to this monsoon the underwater world is lot less beautiful and the visibility is bad so it is impossible to dive and snorkeling at that time.

Well-known for deep-sea fishing, Pulau Pemanggil.
Pulau Pemanggil is another island within the Johor Marine Park which is famous for its rocky cliffs and rich sea life (haven for fishing!).
Hence, plenty of water sports can be enjoyed on the island.Due to the large sacred boulder in the middle of the island, many tourists find this island an elegant yet mysterious one.
The quiet beach behind Lanting Beach Resort.
My friend, Jackson had shared his experience in Pulau Pemanggil to us. He highly recommend that should walk towards the beach and check out the rocky terrain views there. It was my favourite spot and I'm sure you can take lots of beautiful group photos here if you are traveling with friends.
He crossed this wooden bridge to get to Lanting Beach Resort from the beach.
View from the outside of the Lanting Beach Resort.
Meals at the resort (included in the package) are home-cooked kampung-style buffet meals. He really enjoyed the food here especially the steam fish in one of our dinners. It was freshly fished from the ocean.
Pulau Pemanggil offers long stretches of stunning beaches and crystal clear water. Lying on the beach, floating on the water and a leisure stroll are the simplest and the most relaxed activities on the island.
