Legitimately spent hours on this one bc I had to do the entire song.

I've obsessed with this song like everyone else since it came out. This edit is made even more iconic by the fact that the artist herself, Sydney Rose, is apparently a Byler!! I'm half convinced she wrote this about them.

on each cover of the stranger things yearbooks there are two stickers, a phrase, the stranger things logo, and a group picture

but they also have this

which i think is interesting because by the time nancy would have gotten this yearbook she would have already broken up with steve

these are literally written in her yearbook

so why not write nancy❤️jonathan or anything jancy related

so it’s weird that written on nancy’s yearbook is nancy❤️steve, a relationship that resembles her parents unhappy marriage, that was an act of her trying to conform to society’s expectations

and then on the other side is mw + 11 (which he doesn’t even write el or jane or even spell out eleven, he just writes the number) and again is a relationship that resembles ted and karen’s and an act of both of them trying to conform to what is expected of them

i just feel like it was a conscious choice to show a connection between steve and nancy and mike and el
