you groaned as you tossed and turned on your bed, eventually giving up on sleep as your thoughts pulled you out of any comfort. kicking off your shoes, and shrugging off your clothes to slink into something comfier, you laid back into your pillows and pulled out your phone. your thumb brushed against the screen of your phone, scrolling through your feed as you tried to distract yourself.

Unfortunately, the constant videos of people with their boyfriends and boy best friends having fun with each other wasn't helping. Who knew being delusional would bite you in the back this much?

you sighed as you slapped your phone face down onto your bed looking at the ceiling, you focused on the soft sound of wind blowing through the leaves and the soft ticking of the clock on your wall. You think back to a couple minutes ago, thinking about his face.. why would he blush? get so flustered? Sure, its possible he was just shocked, but if your friend that you didn't like, kissed you.. your reaction would be a bit different, and you definitely wouldn't be blushing or stumbling over your words..

so.. maybe he likes you..

your hand reaches your phone again, clicking onto a hidden messaging app you used to text Yuji. It's inconvenient, but Its not like you wanted Megumi, Nobara, or whoever would be snooping finding out Yuji was alive..

you scroll through the endless messages you have sent to each other, looking back at the conversations you've had. You find yourself clicking on the TikTok's he's sent you, biting your nails in thought as you laugh at the silly ones he's sent you, and smiling at the others he's sent you claiming they reminded him of you.

Now that you think about it, he has sent a lot of TikTok's he claims relate to you.

you click onto your gallery to open the locked album of him and you hanging out in the basement the last two months. There's pictures and silly videos of you guys watching and making fun of bad movies together, playing videos games (which you'd always lose) , and doing TikTok trends and challenges that will never get posted.

So many times you and him have hung out, and so many times he's made you laugh like no one ever has. He just makes you feel so comfortable around him.. its something about his personality and the way he carries himself, always treating you with kindness. Not to mention all the promises he's made about all the places he wants to take you and the others to once he can finally come out of the basement Gojo has him hiding in. You groan as you slap a hand over your face, just why did you have to kiss him? Now everything is so awkward! Especially since you literally ran away after, leaving him outside! You toss on your bed, eyes starting to finally get heavy from sleep. How could you not have known you genuinely liked him? Should you.. say something? Or have you completely misunderstood his reaction and there isn't any chance he likes you..

you yawn as your body forces your eyes to blur and shut close, sleep taking over your body as your thoughts start to slow in your head and your muscles start to relax.

you wake up, unaware of the time, but considering the fact that you seem rested, even after staying up so late, you assume you slept through your alarms and probably even Nobara banging on your dorm door trying to get you to wake up for class. You wipe sleep off of the sides of your eyes before your arms stretch above your head.

you hesitate reaching for your phone for a second, considering the possibility a certain someone might have sent you a text. you use the "encouraging" feeling that the pit in your stomach gives you, picking up your phone and opening your messaging app, only to find.. Nothing?!

Seriously?!

Sure that 'kiss' you grumbled over last night was more of a little peck on the cheek, but still. it warranted something!

you scoffed, weirdly offended and disappointed as you put you phone back down and get up to start your day. Starting the coffee machine on the counter to brew while you shower, you grab some clothes from your closet and go into the bathroom. A little while later, you emerge, ready for your day as you pour yourself a small cup of coffee, adding in your usual things, as you grab something quick out of your mini-fridge to eat.

Eventually, you head out to the training field, sitting next to Megumi as you watch Nobara and the second years messing around on the field.

Ever since Yujis "death" Megumi grew oddly quiet. You only knew him for a small while before that day, so you know he's basically always been quiet...but not this quiet. You can tell his death affected him a lot. So you assume he has some secret emphatic side, considering he only knew yuji around the same amount of time you did before he "died"..so not long.

Sometimes you wish you could tell Megumi that Yuji is still alive, and he's closer than he thinks. Megumi seems like the type to keep a secret, but Gojo seemed very serious when he told you to not tell anyone about Yuji. And Gojo is never serious.

Would you feel just as bad as Megumi if you had switched places? If he was the one to coincidentally be there when Yuji came back to life? If you thought he was actually...dead? Maybe it's best not to think about it..

"Good morning Megumi!"

You chirp a greeting, trying to seem normal as usual.

"it's almost two."

"well, I just woke up! So it's morning to me."

Megumi hummed as he turned away from you, focusing instead on the second years and Nobara playing around on the field. You sat there in silence, both of you staring at your upperclassmen and friend. It was moments like these that confused you the most, it was oddly comforting, yet always felt empty.

"So ..did I miss anything important today in class?"

Megumi sighs, almost like his version of a laugh.

"d'you mean other than Gojo messing around?"

You chuckled as you both looked at eachother..

"So..."

"No, you didn't miss anything important."

"Right.."

You clear your throat and then bit the inside of your cheek awkwardly. It was truly hard to keep a good conversation flowing with someone who was always quiet. You reached for your phone , but your hand froze when Megumi spoke up.

"How come you missed class today? It's.. not like you."

You stared at him in silence for a few seconds.. wondering what excuse you should say.

"I didn't get good rest.. y'know? I was just tired."

"how come?"

"what do you mean?"

"well .. no offense, but you don't seem like a person who struggles with sleeping."

You laugh at his comment, making note of the impossibily small smile on his face.

"yeah.. I do sleep a lot. I was just up thinking about.. you know..stuff."

"oh."

"mhm."

"HEY! WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING?! STOP TALKING AND COME HELP MEE!!"

Your body flinched from Nobaras sudden yell as she was tossed over Pandas shoulder. You laughed as you watched Nobara get tossed around by panda, finally getting up to "help" her a few seconds later.

After finally fighting Panda off, you and Nobara ran back over to where Megumi was sitting, hiding behind him as the second years approached you "menacingly"

You and Nobara prepared to run away, but before you could make a run for it behind her, you felt a buzz in your pocket. Pulling out your phone to quickly glance at it, you see a familiar notification.

1 Notification : Hidden Chat

You immediately froze in your tracks, your stomach dropping and a familiar pressure making it's way to your chest. Yuji Texted You.

Your eyes stared at the screen. Your breath stopped as your mind began to race about all the different things he could have said. Is he going to mention last night? Is he just saying hi? Did he hopefully get a random concussion and forget last night? Or, what if-

(un) Fortunately Maki snapped you out of your thoughts with a sharp tug to the back of your shirt, pulling you to fall on your back.

"wha-"

Suddenly, you felt familiar paws on your waist, lifting you up in the air. As if finally snapping back into reality, you began to kick your legs and tug at Pandas paws, wiggling out of his grasp before running over to Nobara and hiding behind some trees.

After another hour or so of "Training", you, Nobara, and Megumi decided to head to the cafeteria to grab some food, sitting at a table near a window that overlooked the campus.

You moved your food with a fork, putting the final bite in your mouth as you watched Nobara "argue" with Megumi, though it was more like Nobara bothering Megumi since he didn't talk much.

"You're so quiet ALLLL the time! And you never want to come hang out with us! You're soooo boring, I need someone to carry my bags when I go out! And I would NEVER disrespect her like that"

Nobara pointed at you during her last statement, she was practically standing over the table. As she complained to Megumi about his habitswhile he stared at her blank faced, sipping coffee.

"ohh, don't blame him so much, he's just emo."

"what."

"pfft- HAHA"

"why- I'm not 'emo'. Why are you laughing."

You and Nobara laughed as you looked at Megumi, his face blank, but he stared at you almost confused.

"I'm leaving."

"awhh, c'mon! I was just joking"

"boooo"

Nobara boo'd Megumi as he walked out of the cafeteria, waving behind him.

"whatever, I have to go sort some clothes I bought the other day anyway. Wanna help?"

"ah, I'm probably gonna do some homework, maybe next time."

You and Nobara walked out together, and you dropped Nobara off at her dorm before walking to yours, locking the door behind you as you sat in your bed. You kicked off your shoes as checked the time

4:13 p.m

Finally, you were alone. There was no danger of anybody looking over your shoulder and seeing what you dreaded opening. You grabbed your phone, and clicked on the notification, entering a pin.

Yuji-"hey! Are you gonna come over today?"

Yuji- "hello? Have you seen my text :p"

Well, it wasn't too bad, at least he wasn't talking about last night.. you but the inside of your cheek as your fingers hovered over the keyboard.

You- "idk. Do you want me to?"

You began to put your phone down, expecting him to take a while before he responded, but your phone buzzed almost immediately.

Yuji- "whatt ofc I want you to come over :D"

Yuji- "why wouldn't I? Ur the only one I can't talk to anyway </3"

You- "uhh idk. I can come over!!"

Yuji- " Okk!! I'll be here waiting for u"

You got up from your bed, putting on something more comfortable before sneaking down the hallway, past the dorms, to the basement. You headed down the creaky stairs into the darkness of the basement. You walked up to the couch, a familiar pink head of hair peaking over it.

You cleared your throat as you stood there, only a couple steps away from the couch. You watched yuji sit up and look over the couch, staring at you.

He smiled boyishly at you before adjusting his sitting position, paying the seat next to him. You shuffled awkwardly to the seat next to him. Sitting on the farthest part of the couch, eyes not daring to make eye contact.

It was silent for a few moments, but you could feel yujis eyes on you. The movie he had playing was the only sound you could hear.

"uhm.. did I do something wrong?"

He slightly reaches out for you, his hand resting in the middle of the couch.

"no! No. You didn't do anything wrong, it's just.. I'm sorry. For last night."

you fidgeted with your hands as you tried to maintain eye contact. Unfortunately, the complete awkwardness of it all made it extremely hard to do so.

Yujis head tilted slightly to the side as he stared at you. For some reason, he looked confused.

"last night? What do you mean?"

"ugh, yuji c'mon. You're not the brightest but you know what I'm talking about."

Yuji smiled at your comment, he feigned insult, but he sort liked it when you guys made fun of eachother. he thought it brought you closer.

"hey! I'm being serious, I don't know what you mean!"

"oh my gosh, yuji. When you.. when you dropped me off at my dorm. Remember..?"

Yuji froze, staring at you intently. His smile faltered a bit, and you could tell he was biting the inside of his now pink cheeks.

"oh.."

"yeah. That. I'm sorry. it was a mistake. we're friends and i totally didn't mean to do that. seriously! i have no idea why i did that! I'm just so dumb and.. i dunno. i shouldn't have done it is all. i just made everything so awkward.. I'm sorry."

You stammered an apology awkwardly, not knowing what to say you just said anything. Unfortunately, Yujis reaction was different from what you imagined.

"you didn't mean it?"

this time, his smile completely dropped, and so did the pinkness from his cheeks. You also noticed that he slightly retracted his hand, barely. his reaction was different from what you imagined, he looked as if he was.. disappointed?

"what."

"are you sure you didn't mean it?"

Yuji leaned forward, as if his ears were betraying him. you could tell his eyebrows furrowed a bit, and he looked serious. He was never serious. even in the tough moments, he always found a way to smile and laugh through it, but not this time.

"well.. yeah? i mean.. yes, right? we're just friends.."

"oh"

" 'oh'? "

"its just that.."

Yuji froze for a moment, staring deeply into your eyes. He still looked disappointed, but the pink returned to his cheeks as he shuffled a little closer to you. he moved both of his hands to his lap, his finger fidgeting as he looked at basically anything else but you.

a few seconds later, he took a deep breath, staring at you again as he opened his mouth to speak.

"I'm just saying.. you're not dumb, and I didn't think it was awkward, or weird, or whatever you said.. I just want to make sure you really didn't mean it, because i guess i kinda.. liked it.. i don't know. its weird. you already said you didn't mean it so now I'm the one that's going on and on. but i just-"

"are you serious?"

"Well, yeah.. are you?"

"uhm.. no.. i just.. didn't think you would like it? that's why I'm apologizing.."

"so.. you did mean it?"

"well, it came out unwillingly, but.. yes."

Yuji smiled again, and it seemed like his entire body brightened as he shuffled just a bit closer to you. His personality finally came back, it was like you reinflated a balloon, his dramatic self coming right back to life.

He sighed dramatically before rambling, his hands moving around as he spoke.

"Well, no matter why you did it, im glad you did, because i liked it. like.. a lot. its the onlyyy thing i've been thinking about all day! seriously! do you know how long it took me to text you first? i was planning on texting you right after but i couldn't!"

"you liked it?"

"of course i liked it! why wouldn't i like it if i like-"

he froze for just a millisecond, his breath catching in his throat.

"if i like.. you."

A shiver went up your spine, sending goosebumps over your arms as it passed them, and heating up your face when it reached your cheeks. you could practically feel yourself getting red as you stared at him.

You couldn't contain your smile, no matter how hard you tried.

"Well, I guess i like you too then!"

You and Yuji chuckled as you stared a each other

"I 'guess' that means i can..kiss you? like.. for real this time?"

He made it sound more like a question, looking into your eyes for consent, not daring to move an inch closer. you smiled at him, jokingly rolling your eyes.

"i guess.."

With that, Yuji's smile widened bigger than you have ever seen it before, he leaned closer to you, both hands cupping your cheeks. His lips ghosted yours, your breaths mixing together as he stared into your eyes one last time for any sign of any kind of discomfort or regret. Only then did he finally close the gap. His lips where soft, and you where surprised to faintly taste his ChapStick..

he smiled as he slowly, but barely pulled away, your foreheads touching.

"You taste like strawberry!"

"sorry!"

"why do you keep apologizing? its good, i like it!"

'Oh.."

"can i taste it again?"

"yeah."

he leaned in again, capturing your lips once more, but this one was a bit deeper, he leaned more in to you. He couldn't see you, but he could he would see your eyes tightly shut, your mind racing with so many thoughts.. most of them wondering if your a good/bad kisser, and if he'd notice that this was your first ever kiss.

He finally pulled away as your hands drew fist on his shirt, clenching the fabric tightly. you breathed deeply, catching your breath as your grip loosened..

"sorry, that was probably bad, it was.. well it was basically my first kiss soo.."

Yuji smiled at you, almost beaming

"oh, well, that's okay! it was my first one too! we can be inexperienced together!"

just as Yuji was about to lean back into you again, you both heard the basement door opening. you both immediately shuffled a little farther from each other as your heads whipped around to see Gojo walking down the steps.

"Well! if it isn't my favorite students! another movie night I see?"

you cleared your throat, smiling at him, as if nothing out of the ordinary happened.

"yeah! you know, just the usual."

"alrighty! i was just checking up on Yuji, i'm going to take him out on a mission to train! d'ya wanna come with us?"

"you know what? i think im gonna head back to my dorm and get some rest."

you looked at Yuji and smiled, getting up from the couch as you walked up the steps and yelled back a good bye.

You usually felt happy after meeting Yuji, but this time was different. you played back that small moment in your head, and as you practically skipped back to your dorm, Gojo pretended not to notice your slightly smudged staining ChapStick on your lips, and Yujis.

Yuji Itadori Loves his girlfriend. He'd love her no matter what she looks like. Sure, he has his preferences, as we know, but he doesn't take that in to much account when he gets with you. He doesn't care about how you look, your personality really is what he loves. But I'd be lying if I didn't say he was obsessed with your soft body.

It's borderline insulting to him whenever you tell him how insecure you are of your body. He feels as if you just punched him in his face whenever you complain about your stomach, thighs, and rolls In front of the mirror as you put on clothes. He hates it because he loves you.

He loves the softness of your stomach, and he'd be a fool and a liar if he said your soft thighs don't make him blush. He just loves hugging you and touching you all over! He especially loves reassuring you whenever you get insecure, because it's basically his chance to confess about all the things he loves about you as he kisses your face. And if you happen to complain about how 'heavy' you are in front of him? Well, he obviously has to use his strength to sweep you off your feet and carry you as if you weigh nothing, because to him, you don't.

Given all that, of course he is extremely protective of you. He never wants you to feel bad no matter what, especially about your body.

So, when you happen to overhear some girls laughing at you while you try on a new dress you're already insecure in? It practically sends tears down your face! And Yuji cannot let that slide.

The thing about Yuji is that he may seem like any cute silly boy, a true golden retriever, but he can have a meaner side. When he intends too, of course, Especially when it comes to his stares.

After successfully 'scaring' off the girls, who walked off with a roll of their eyes and a scoff, he comes up behind you as you look at yourself in the mirror. He wraps his arms around you and puts his head in the crook of your neck.

You grumble as you feel Yuji's chest pressed against your back, his eyes locking onto yours through the mirror in front of you.

"Yuji can you please? I have to change.. I don't think I found anything I want to buy.."

"Whatt?? but i love how this dress looks on you!"

He kisses your cheek and smiles, his hand that rests on your hips caressing your waist.

"babe- I appreciate it but I'd much rather take this off and go to another store, or...home?"

"Nooo... C'mon I love shopping with you! You're extra cute when you're trying on new clothes!"

You shrug him off and slither out of his arms, walking back to the dressing room and closing the door on his face.

You quickly got back into your original clothing, putting the dress back on the hanger. You left the dressing room, walking past Yuji, who was now wearing a pout as he followed close behind.

Walking out of the store, you could feel Yuji's gaze in you, studying every crevice of your face trying to understand how you felt.

"hmm.. well, I'm reaallyyy craving a sweet treat.."

He smiled at you knowingly. You stare up at him, unamused by his antics as you shrug.

"we can go, but I don't want anything. I'm not hungry."

"okay!"

A few minutes later, you walked into your usual. Café, the sweet smell of pastries and coffee filling your senses. You stand in line behind yuji, feeling too upset to make conversation. You stare at the floor, biting the inside of your cheek as you distract yourself from Yuji ordering. Truth be told, you really were craving a little treat.. especially since this café has the best version of your favorite pastry! Oh well, it's probably for the best.

The ding of the cash register catches your attention, watching Yuji as the cashier hands him an ice cream and..your favorite pastry? You look at him almost confused, but you do well to hide it as you walk out of the store.

You occasionally glance at him as he eats his ice cream, but not once touching the other dessert. Eventually, he catches you glancing at him, and smiles.

"Do you wanna try it? I know it's your favorite so you can have a bite"

You grumble, but still take a bite when he reaches his hand out to you, unconsciously smiling at the sweet taste.

Another moment passes by, and Yuji finishes his ice cream. Still, he doesn't touch the other pastry, instead making a big, dramatic show about how 'full' he is.

"Phew! That ice cream was Soo good.. I forgot how large the portions were! I'm Soo full now... But, awh, I don't want this to go to waste!! How about you have it instead.."

You roll your eyes and smile at his antics, still taking the pastry and immediately taking a bite from it. As you chew, you catch yuji smile down at you.

"what? I wouldn't want it to go to waste."

"mhm, right."

That night, Yuji makes sure to cuddle you extra tight, his hands massaging your tummy as you both fell asleep.
