I walked through the door with you, the air was cold. But something 'bout it felt like home somehow

You walked with Neteyam into his family's hut for the first time. It was cold but you felt nice and safe. "I like your hut" you said when you two were laying in his hamock. "I'm glad you like it." He smiled "But I'm scared about meeting your family here" you looked up from his chest into his eyes. "You don't need to be scared. It will be okay. My parents or even my siblings won't kill you. And you know Kiri and Tuk a little bit so it will be alright." You nodded your head. He was right

And I left my scarf there in your sister's hamock

"You've still got it in your draw, even now?" You asked Neteyam when you were looking for your items to make Tuk a new bracelet and noticed your scarf. "Well yeah. But I still don't get why you have it" you laughed at his confused tone. "The sky people wear it when It's cold and I wanted to try to wear it too" you shrugged. "Fine, then you need to start wearing another one. I will keep this red one" you looked at him and smiled. He did keep it.

Oh, your sweet disposition and my wide-eyed gaze

Sitiing on the grass playing with Neteyam's hair was calming. Moments like these were one of your favorites. You looked down to your lap to see Neteyam looking at you. "What?" You asked "Nothing. You are just so beautiful" He saw the blush on your cheeks but you still tried to hide it by looking at the tree in front of you "Don't look away from me, my love" he chuckled and took your chin between his two finger making you look down at him. "You are beautiful. And I love you so much" you blushed again. "I love you too" Were you Naive? Maybe.

We're flying on your kran, getting lost upstate. Autumn leaves falling down like pieces into place.

You were enjoying the view from Neteyam's ikran. "You are not scared anymore?" Neteyam asked behind you "Should i be?. Look how beautiful it is" He smiled. "Look down there!" You poited under the two of you with your index finger. "It's amazing!" You were amazed by it. Then you flied throught a falling leaves. You lauged while putting your arms up to touch the leaves. "How beautiful"..

And I can picture it after all these days. And I know it's long gone and. That magic's not here no more. And I might be okay, but I'm not fine at all

You were telling this memory to Kiri after you and Neteyam broke up. "It was amazing" you sighed "but well..Its not here anymore" She smiled sadly at you "It will be okay again Y/n" You nodded your head "i know. I just miss it, miss him so much" you wipped your tears "I don't know how to get myself together" Maybe it will get better. But when? You didn't know

'Causе there we are again on that little meadow. You almost ran over the stump 'cause you were lookin' over at me.

"Well it was amazing today" you were telling him about your day. He was listening carefully sometimes nodding to tell you that he is following the story. "Kiri and Tuk told me that you found some new place today" he smiled when he saw you nodding happily clearly remembering the moment. "Yeah, yeah. We did. It's so beautiful. The flowers and trees are making it look like dream." Neteyam's eyes were starting at you and you smiled when you noticed but stopped saying "Wait!" when you saw him almost running over the stump. He laughed looking at you again "Well i almost Killed myself today" You laughed at his note. Wind in your hair, You were there You remember it all too well..

Photo album on the counter, your cheeks were turning purple. You used to be a little kid with glasses in a twin-sized bed.

You smiled when you saw his cheeks turning purple. He was blushing while you were looking through the album. "Look at you on this photo!" You said happily showing him photo of himself. "Its so embarassing, love" you shaked your head "It's not. I like your old photos" he smiled "I didn't know ypu wore glasses" you looked at him "Well you know now" nodding your head saying "they suited you".

And your mother's telling stories 'bout you on the first training.

You were laughing along with Neytiri. "I wish i could see it" she nodded still laughing "Me too. But even though Jack just told me this story its funny." You two stopped laughing after a second. "Do he remember it?" She shaked her head "I don't think so. But when we told him this he was so embarassed." She chuckled.

You tell me 'bout your past, thinking your future was me.

You were smiling, looking into his eyes, standing in front of him on the spot you two exposed your feelings for each other. You didn't know what was coming. "I love you" he suddenly said. Your lips parted a little bit at the surprise. You thought he sees you "I love you" You said a little sad about the words. "Some years ago i wouldn't even think about standing here with you in my arms but now? Now I know you are the one" . You smiled. Not knowing what was coming.

We were always skipping forest.

Flying on your ikrans, laughing and enjoying every second with each other. "I will win this time" you yelled at Neteyam. "No, I don't think so". Ofc you didn't win.

And I was thinking on the drive down, any time now. He's gonna say he sees me..

Smiling and hoping that the three words will leave his lips any minute. "You enjoying the view, yawne?" He asked. Even though you were tired you still looked at the nature around you. "Yeah. But I want to sleep" he chuckled "Then sleep. I will take you home after we arrive.." ..you never called it what it was.

Till we were dead and gone and buried. Check the pulse and come back swearing it's the same.

After three months in the grave. And then you wondered where it went to as I reached for you.

His heart skipped a beat. Your heart too. The two of you felt like the pulse wasn't there. He was wondering why. "I love you. I won't end it" he said. "You yelled at me literally for caring about you then said you think this won't work anymore and now you are saying this?" You were confused. You didn't do anything. "I know, I know. And I'm sorry. I will make it up to you. Just don't do this to me" ofc you didn't do it...

But all I felt was shame and you held my lifeless frame.

It was like He was holding your lifeless body after the fight. You were so tired of everything. You felt ashamed. You should just end it..

And I know it's long gone and. There was nothing else I could do.

You were again arguing "Its happening again. I don't know what to do, 'teyam" he shaked his head knowing that you wanted it to end. "I love you so much okay? I just didn't think in that moment" he walked closer to you "just give me another chance. The last one. Okay? I don't want to loose you" you just looked at him for a second before nodding your head. There was something else you could do..

And I forget about you long enough. To forget why I needed to.

Kiri shaked her head "Don't get me wrong, I love my brother but you just need to move on" you sighed. "I know. I just can't" she looked you in the eyes "Or you don't want to?" You eyes widened at her words. Maybe. "Why I need to get over him? It has been so long." Kiri hated the words leaving your lips "I can't believe it. You were hurted, crying yourself to sleep and now you just say this?" You couldn't believe it too. "Maybe you are right, I don't want to forget him" the last thing you remember is Kiri's eyes widening.

Cause there we are again in the middle of the night. We're dancing ‘round the forest in the moonlight.

His hands on your waist, your hands around his neck and head on his chest. "Is this how the sky people dance?" He asked. You laughed "Yeah. But like on the dates or weddings or like we right now. Just because they want to" he smiled "I like it". You looked at him in the eyes "I think its time for me to say I see you" you were shocked. Your eyes starting to tear up. Neteyam took your silenece as a reason for not being ready to say it back "If you are not ready to say it back, It's okay." you shaked your head "No, no, It's not that" you smiled "I just thought you would never say it" you took a deep breath "I see you". he smiled, pulling you closer to him and started dancing slowly again. I was there. I remember it all too well

And there we are again when nobody had to know

"Shh you need to be quiet or they will find out" he whispered when you chuckled a little. You were sneaking out together. Where? You didn't know. Maybe just to take a walk around the village. "Maybe we should tell them" You said while walking in the forest "It's too early, my love" you looked at him confused "three months are too early?" He turned his head looking at you "I just-" he took a deep breath "I want to take things slow. I don't want to rush our relationship" you nodded "Okay. You are right. I'm sorry" Why?

You kept me like a secret but I kept you like an oath.

Crying in Neteyam's arms was..embarassing for you for some reason. "Its okay. I'm here" his strong arms were wrapped around your body, keeping you close to his chest. "I'm so sorry. I'm sorry" he shaked his head "Don't be. It's okay." You pulled away from him, looking into his eyes "Maybe your parents are right. You need someone strong and responsible. Someone who won't cry in your arms because of stupid things" his eyes softened "What?" He didn't know ypu heard him talking with his parents about finding the next Tsahik. "I heard you talking with your parents and they are right. Look I can't even keep you like a secret anymore." He smiled putting his hand on your cheek "I want only you. Only you, ma yawne" He wipped your tears. You didn't keep him like a secret, you kept him like an oath..

Sacred prayer, and we'd swear. To remember it all too well, yeah.

"No. Neteyam, you promised me to be careful. But you weren't" you said looking at his body full od bruises and wounds. "You almost died today" he walked to you "I know. But I came back. I came back to you." He put his hand on your arm, caressing it. "I'm here with you. Alive.". After this you found you two laying in the grass just enjoying each others presence. "I swear to remember this all even after leaving this world." He suddenly said making you surprised. You looked at him smiling "I swear to remember this too". And you did remember it. All to well.

Maybe we got lost in translation. Maybe I asked for too much.

All you wanted was him to look at you like at thhe only one he ever loved. You wanted him to keep you save, to whisper in your ear calming things when you were sad, you wanted him to love you. And he did. But sometimes you just felt you asked for too much.

Running scared, I was there. I remember it all too well.

And you call me up again, Just to break me like a promise.

It was some time after your break up with Neteyam. You shaked your head at his words "No" he looked at you confused, not expecting your words "I won't do this" you said showing the two of you with your hand. You looked at him, you eyes watering "I can't and I won't" he made a step foward you "I love you" you scoffed, shaking your head "You don't. You know you don't, 'teyam". He knew you were right "I know. It was a mistake. The break up was a mistake. I shouldn't do it." You wipped your tears "Just let me go Neteyam" Crying yourself to sleep the same night. Just thinking about all these things. Just remembering it all too well.

So casually cruel in the name of being honest. I'm a crumpled up piece of paper lying here.

Lying your head on Kiri's lap, she playing with your hair. "I don't know what to do. It is good thing that we broke up?" You looked up at her "Well I was a big fan of you two. But to be honest you were just killing yourselfs. It's good that you ended it before the relationship could hurt you more." She looked down at you "Don't cry." She wipped your tears "I feel so weird. And so phatetic. It's like tenth time i'm crying to you" she shaked her head "you are not phatetic. You just remember it all" All, All Too well

They say all's well that ends well but I'm in a new hell. Every time you double-cross my mind.

You said if we had been closer in age maybe it would have been fine. And that made me want to die

Before Neteyam and you started dating he was scared of your age gap. Even though its just 2 years it was long for him for some reason. You were friends but he was always saying "It's better for us to just stay friends. Our age is not the same". And when you were fighing over something he always said "It's the age". You always rolled your eyes at his note. You hated it. That was why you were more angry than sad when you heard Neteyam talking to Lo'ak saying "Maybe if we were closer in age it would end up differently" Pff lie.

Wipping your tears while walking to the healers hut. "Are you okay, Y/n?" Tuk asked when you entered the hut "I'm okay. Tuk don't worry" you smiled "What happened?" You furrowed your eyebrows "Nothing. I'm okay. Really,Tuk" she looked at you for a second then nodding her head. "Okay."

You, who charmed my dad with self effacing jokes. Talking about everything like you're on a late night show.

You weren't scared about Neteyam meeting your parents. He was the next Olo'eyktan they knew him and knew that he was sweet and kind. Your parents loved him immediately. Especially your dad loved him. He was charming and funny and your parents mainly your dad loved that. Your father and Neteyam always talked about everything. Really everything. And after meeting Neteyam he told you something you will never forget. "He's a good guy. If he won't hurt you, keep him."

But then he watched me watch the front door all night willing you to come

You looked up from the bracelet you were making just to see your mom walk in. "You are waiting for someone?" Your dad asked when he noticed the disappointed in your eyes. You shaked your head no, going back to making the bracelet. In the middle of the night you were sitting in your hamock willing he would show up. But he didn't. So you just stared at the etrance not knowing your dad was watching your sad face.

And he said it's supposed to be fun turning fifteen.

"You are not going out with your friends?" Your mom asked when you were helping her cook. "No, It's almost eclipse. And I'm tired" you said. "You should have fun on your birthday" you smiled at your dads words "I am having fun with you two".

Time won't fly, it's like I'm paralyzed by it. I'd like to be my old self again, but I'm still trying to find it

After plaid shirt days and nights when you made me your own. Now you mail back my things and I walk home alone.

Your stomach hurted from how hard you were laughing. "It happened a long time ago, love" Neteyam chuckled "I know but that doesn't mean it's not funny" you smiled. Wearing one of Neteyam's plaid shirts, which he got from the lab and him wearing a neklace you made for him to match with you, was making you feel so happy. Your head on his shoulder while his arm was around your body made you think you were his. That was why you were crying when you walked from the spot, this happened, alone now. And that was why you were crying when you saw the neklace in the box with your things.

But you keep my old scarf from that very first week.

You were babysitting Tuk because Neytiri and Jake were on a date, Kiri was helping her grandmother in the healing hut and Neteyam and Lo'ak were hunting. You were telling Tuk a fairytale about a Princess and a Prince. "I'm cold." Tuk suddenly said. You smiled handing her a big red scarf. She happily took it from you and wrapped it around her. "Neteyam has the same one. But the one he has is smaller." You looked at her confused "Wait, really?" She nodded "Yeah. He always uses it like i pillow" she laughed "I don't understand why" Why he didn't give it back?

'Cause it reminds you of innocence and it smells like me

"But why would he keep it, Kiri?" You were telling her about what Tuk told you. You were confused. "I don't know" she shrugged "But he gave me my things back! He even gave me the neklace i gave him!" She looked at you surprised "Wait, he really gave you the neklace back?" You nodded "Yeah. So why would he keep something that is mine?" Then she realized something. Her eyes widening a little "What?" You asked "Maybe it reminds him of you" she looked in your "He can't get rid of it. 'Cause he remember it all too well" ..Yeah

Laying in Neteyam's arms, listening to his heart beat was something you did almost every day when you two had a break from everythingsnd everyone. "This one looks like a flower" he pointed at one of the clouds on the sky. "Yeah you are right" you said "You don't see it right?" You shaked your head no. He started laughing "Stop. It's not my fault". You looked up to see him already looking at you. "You are so handosme" his cheeks started turning purple "Neteyam is blushing" he hid his face in his hands "Stop hiding your handosme face from me". Oh, how you loved him ..

It was rare, I was there. I remember it all too well. Wind in my hair, you were there. You remember it all

Your relationship with Neteyam was amazing. Even though he wasn't acting the same in the end you wouldn't change anything about your relationship with him. He made you feel like the most perfect girl on the planet. He made you feel loved. It was rare for you. For everyone.

And I was never good at telling jokes but the punch line goes. I'll get older but your lovers stay my age

A month. A month since you lost your other half. A month since you absolutely lost youself. A month since you lost him.

Yeah..It has been a month since the night everything changet. Since the night you weren't the same. The smile on your lips was replaced by tears running down your blue cheeks. And the laugh? Your beautiful laugh that could make everyone smile was replaced with sobbing and screaming in the sleep.

Looking at the blue sky in front of you while sitting on the big rock in the ocean. Salt tears welling into your eyes were bluring your view. You saw Lo'ak and Tsireya infront of you chasing each other on their ilus. Smiling a little to yourself knowing that Lo'ak was getting better. It has been hard for him since the death of his brother. He was blaming himself for it. Always apologising to you when he saw you struggling. But the smile on your lips quickly disappeared when you remembered one memory.

"Oh come one 'teyam. Please" you were beggining Neteyam to come on a ride with you to watch sunset. "We watched sunset yesterday" you nodded your head "I know but I want to watch it again with you. Please" he rolled your eyes before looking at you "No, don't look at me like that" you were looking at him with those eyes he couldn't say no to "Okay fine. We are going to watch sunset again". You started jumping up and down in excitment. "Thank you, thank you, thank you" you kissed his cheek. After an hour you two were sitting on a rock watching the sunset. Your head on his shoulder why his hand was rubbing your palm. "Thank you for coming with me" he smiled to himself "Thank you for making me come with you"

The tears couldn't be stopped. You were sitting on the same rock you have sat with him in the memory. When you saw Tuk aproahing you, you quickly wipped your tears off. "Mom want us home Y/n" she said and wrapped her arms around your neck. "Then come" you stood up, grabbed her hand and the two of you started walking to your murai.

At the dinner you were just looking at your food like always. But at least you could look at it. Two weeks ago you would throw up looking at food. But eating the food was still a bit hard for you. Lo'ak sitting next to you sighed at took the spoon from you. You knew what was coming. "Open" you did as you were told, opening your mouth. He put the spoon into your mouth smiling a little. "Good job" he said when you swallowed it. After three minutes he knew you didn't want it anymore. Well it wasn't the first time after the loss he was feeding you. "Just one more okay?" You nodded opening your mouth and swallowing it. He smiled whispering "I'm proud of you" you smiled at his words.

You were always close with Lo'ak but now, after everything happened, you were even more. He was there for you the past month, whenever you needed him. He would cancel his date with Tsireya just because of you. And you did the same with him. In the first two weeks holding him in the night while he was crying. You were crying too but the present of each other was comforting you both.

It was night. Your least favorite part of the day. You were sitting on your spot in the murai looking at the wall infront of you. "If something happened just wake me up" you look at Lo'ak smiling at him "I think you will be awake before me anyway" It was a joke you always told him when he told you to wake him up. He laughed a little nodding his head "Good night".

Having Neteyam's head in your lap while caressing his cheek "Don't go please" you whispered. He smiled a little with eyes half closed. "I would do anything to stay here with you, my love. But you know its not possible" . You wanted to scream when you heard that words coming from his lips. You knew he was right "I see you". Then his eyes closed. Shaking his body wasn't helping he was gone. Forever.

You felt how you have been being shaked in your sleep. "C'mon, wake up" you opened your eyes, sitting and taking a deep breath. "Shh. You are okay". It was a rutine now. You know what was coming. Lo'ak pulling you into him rubbing your arm. "I'm sorry for walking you up." He skaked his head "I wasn't asleep" you furrowed your eyebrows "Being on a date with your girl?" He chuckled and you did too. "Who knows". After a while you layed down again with Lo'ak next to you. Closing your eyes and drifting to sleep hearing the waves outside.

In the morning you were sitting next to Jake cutting some vegetables. "I'm sorry about what's happening to you" you turned to look at him "No need to be sorry. It's getting better." Lie. It wasn't getting better. Yeah ofc you started eating and were coming out sometimes. But you still felt how the other half of you were not with you. "You know that you can talk to me" you smiled but stopped when you almost cut yourself "I know thank you Jake. I'm getting better. But maybe you can talk to me" looking at him seeing how he looked outside watching Lo'ak smiling at Tsireya "I want to thank you. For being here for him" he looked at you. You knew that by him he meant Lo'ak. "You helped him a lot" looking at Lo'ak too you said "We helped each other. The one of us is just a little slower"

Even walking on the beach was making you cry. The memories flying through your mind faster then you wanted them too. Looking in the ocean wipping you tears away while thinking about another memory.

Splashing watter at each other was some reason so funny. You were like little kids laughing so much your stomachs were hurting. "Dinner's ready" Neytiri yelled at both of you. "Well come we can continue this tomorrow" you smiled "Okay. But we are going on a ride too"

You down buryig your legs into the hot sand. After a second you felt someone sitting next to you. "So what are you thinking about?" You shrugged "Things". Yesterday night something in you changet. You maybe realized that it would be good for him if you wouldn't tell him everything you had on your mind. "You can talk to me. You know that" you nodded "yeah i know. There's just nothing wrong." He looked at you for a second before saying "what was the dream about, yesterday?" The second you looked at him he knew it was another nightmare. "It was different. Not that scary. Or well..It was horrible seeing it but you know what I mean."

Fifteen minutes passed and you were still there sitting with Lo'ak. "Kiri told me that he might be a little jealous right now" you laughed a little bit "I think he's happy that we are okay." You looked at him seeing him thinking "whats wrong?" He skahed his head "I just maybe if I we wouldn't come get spider he would be still here. Maybe its because of me." He looked at you "It's my fault that you were crying yourself to sleep. It's my fault that you can't have him by your side anymore. I'm sorry for that." You shaked your head "Lo'ak It's not your fault. Look even though I'm not feeling amazing right now doesn't mean i will feel like this forever. I made a promise remember?" Tears welled in his eyes while yours were already falling down.

"No, no, no. Don't sleep. Look at me" you patted his cheek gently. He looked into you eyes "Just don't go to sleep okay? I'm here and I need you to be awake" you sniffled tasting the salty tears on your lips. "Promise me, love, that you will find someone who will take care of you for me. Promise me that you will try to get over this, over me" shaking your head at his words "No. No you will do it. Just hold on" he moved a little bacause of the pain in his entire body "Promise me. Please" Just promise.."I promise that i will try to get better. But the rest of it won't happen" he smiled "you" looking at Lo'ak "You will make sure she kept her promise. And make sure not to put yourself in the danger." Lo'ak nodded his head wipping his tears. You felt a hand on your cheek making you look down "And one more thing" he said "Think about me while looking at the sunset please and remember I will be there with you"

It has been seven months since the argument, you had with Neteyam. After the argument you realized that you should get yourself together. So you started. And it was getting better.

It was about over fifteen minutes after the hunting party returned. You were in the nursing hut preparing treatment paste. You were alone because Kiri and Moat left to help the others.

Crushing herbs weren't your favorite thing to do but it had to be done. Then You heard someone walk in. Looking up from the herbs you were welcomed with none other than Neteyam.

He stopped when he saw you were there alone. "Uhm hey. Do you know where is my sister or grandmother?" He asked after ten seconds of being silenece. "Hi, yeah, they went to help the other injured hunters." He cursed under his breath when you continued. "Are you injured?" He looked at you for a second then nodded. "Oh..Then come sit, I will help you" you smiled "you don't have to" ofc you have to "It's my job"

That was how you ended in the same hut alone with your exboyfriend. There was awkward silenece, the only sound you could hear was Neteyam hissing. "I'm sorry. Just five more minutes". After three minutes Neteyam decided to broke the silenece "So uhm..How are you?" You furrowed your eyebrows at one deep cut starting to clean it. "I'm good. How about you?" He hissed when you pressed too hard on the wound "I'm good. Well right now I'm dying but we won't talk about it." You let out a little laugh. Then you continued in silenece. Just not in a awkward silenece.

Those five minutes flew by quickly. "You will put this on your cuts every morning and night. But on the cuts on your back just usk Lo'ak or Kiri for help" He nodded "Okay. Got it" he said and took the bowl from your hand. "Thank you for not letting me die" he smiled "Well if I did your parents would kill me" he nodded laughing "yeah, maybe". He walked to the exit and waved "bye".

It was night. Stars starting to show up on the dark sky and you were sitting on one of yours and Neteyam's favorite spot. You though that you wouldn't meet him there. Well you were wrong. A tall blue figure was walking to you from behind. "Hey" someone said behind you. You quickly turned around "Oh Eywa you scared me Neteyam" Why Eywa? Why would you do this to me? Screaming in your head while smiling at him was something you didn't know would ever happen after your break up. "Can I sit?" He suddenly asked. What? "Yeah, yeah" No ofc no!

That was how you ended sitting next to Neteyam after seven months of getting healed. "You remember the day we found this place?" you heard him ask. Your eyes widened a little hearing these words coming from his mouth. You turned your head to look at him "Yeah" Why he was asking you that?! Your head was full of thoughts and the little voices were fighing. He laughed. What is funny? "We were running like little kids laughing our asses off when we found this. It was almost eclipse when we were sitting here." He started looking around. To be honest you did too. Remembering all the memories mainly from the day he was talking about.

A little smile found a way to your lips but when you realized it you quickly shook it off. Don't smile, don't smile. Why are you smiling?! Yeah. Your head was busy. So busy. "We made a promise here" he continued. You looked at him "Never show this place to anyone" you almost rolled your eyes at this. "And I didn't" But he did with the other spot! The spot you two first met! You wanted to stop these voices but you just couldn't. "But you showed the spot to someone" you whispered but he heard it. He looked at you then you looked at him "you showed her out first spot. The spot we met on!" Ugh stop crying. You were tired of the voices. "Why did you do that?" He shaked his head "Y/n almost all the beautiful places in the forest became our spots" you scoffed. You were confused. He was confusing you. So much.

Silenece. You wanted to leave but you just couldn't. You didn't know why. Then something in you changet and your lips started moving saying things you had on your mind really long time. "I won't lie i still think about you every now and then. And I still cry over things you said that day" He wasn't looking at you but you didn't care bacause you knew he was listening "Funny how you think after all you did you can walk back to my life." Go girl! Maybe the voices weren't that bad. "Funny how you think the stories about us will make things right." No tears. You were surprised "I told myself that I hate you so it would be easier to let you go" he looked at you "I'm sorry" he whispered.

You didn't stop. You wanted him to know how you felt "I won't lie, I always knew that you were growing tired of me so you made excuses." Talking about the night he canceled your date. And by the look on his face you knew that he knew what you were talking about. "Found myself while waiting for you to show up." You stopped, taking a deep breath then continuing "Found myself talking to the walls" was it good idea to tell him everything? Well you didn't know. You just didn't want to keep it in yourself anymore. "You remember the time you didn't want to tell your family? You even kept me us secret for a while. I don't know why I never said anything. But I knew i was tired of it" He turned to you "I was scared" you looked at you "so was I! But I was able to put myself aside for us!"

He kept quiet for a minute "I'm sorry. Okay? I just-..I made a lot of mistakes. But I want to make things right" he paused "I want to make things between us right. I want you to be alright" He looked at you when you laughed at his words "What's funny?" You shaked your head "Funny how you think that after you did i'd be doing alright" you stood up wanting to leave "No, no. Don't go. Look i know what I did! Okay? But i'm sorry for that" he still didn't get it. You were angry, sad and tired because of everything. Because of him. So you yelled.."It's funny how you think that your little sorry's can heal the scars you left behind!" Your eyes widened. Even Neteyam's did. Now it was time for you to leave. Thats why you turned around and walked away.

While leaving him standing there you couldn't stop the tears falling down from your eyes to your cheeks. You really wanted to turnd around but you didn't. You didn't. It was easier to let him go..

"Hi" he said while cutting the handcuffs off your hands. You smiled at him, knowing that nothing can happen to you now. After a second you heard him say "Get Tuk out of the ship with Tsireya okay?" You looked at him confused "What? Where are you going?" He looked at you, putting his hand on your cheek "Just going to get spider. Just go" you shaked your head "No, I am coming with you".

That was how you all ended up behind the wall with the sky people shooting at you. "Go, go go" you heard Neteyam yelling. Spider and Lo'ak jumped into the water but you stayed with him. "We will jump on three" you said "one" you took a deep breath "two" and "three".

You two jumped into the water. After a secong you put your head out of the water. You smiled, hearing Lo'ak and Spider laugh. But your smile faded the second your eyes landed on Neteyam.

Everything was suddenly so loud and slow. You were pulling Neteyam's body onto the rock. It was hard for you. You were putting him on the ground while whispering "It's okay, It's okay"and caressing his right cheek "I'm here with you". You was crying this time, knowing you are having your last minutes with your mate right now.

"It hurts" he whimpered holding onto your arm. "I know love. I know, just hold on a little longer, okay?" You smiled at him. He looked at Jake "I want to go home" Jake nodded his head "I know, I know. We are going home". You shaked your head, tears starting to well in your eyes.

You felt Neteyam's hand on your cheek, making you look at him "I see you yawntu" you smiled at him "I see you ma 'teyam". That was when he stopped moving. "Neteyam?" You shaked his body. "No, no, no" you screamed, shaking your head and tears rolling down your cheeks. Before you could shake his body once more, you felt how you were gently pushed aside by Neytiri. Watching her hugging hers lifeless son's body made you cry even more.

You looked down at your bloody hands. It was his blood. Your mates blood. Your body was shaking when you realized what just happened. You looked from your hands to the Sully's. Jake and Neytiri were leaving to safe Kiri and Tuk while Lo'ak was looking at the sky crying. You moved closer to him pulling him into hug. "I'm so sorry Y/n. It's all my fault." You shaked your head "No, no Lo'ak. Its not your fault. None of this is your fault"

Both of you were crying in each other arms when you realized that Tsireya was there, looking at your mates dead body. "Go calm your girl down." You said to Lo'ak wipping his tears off. He let out a little laugh before standing up and walking to Tsireya.

After a few moments just looking into the dark you moved closer to Neteyam, taking his hand in yours keeping it close to your chest.

It has been a week since you lost him. You weren't doing that good. But you were getting better. You were sitting on the beach, legs in the watter just looking at the sunset. Thinking about your mate.

"I know you can't hear me, love. But i still want to say that I see you! And I love you so, so much." You smiled and caressed his neklace you had on your neck"I will never forget you. Not even your laugh neither your eyes" Tears starting to well in your eyes faster than you expected "How are you doing? I hope good. Because I'm getting better now. Its not amazing, but you know what I mean." You stared at the sun that was slowly starting to set. "I miss you so much, 'teyam" you wiped your tears even though you knew it was for nothing. "But I know we will meet one day again and fulfill the promises we made."

You laughed remembering about the night you two made the promise "Because you know Always and Forever"

Yellow guilty eyes and little white lies, yeah. I played dumb but I always knew why you talked to her.

His beautiful yellow eyes were looking in yours. His hands holding yours while you were explaining something "You can tell me if there is someting more between you two" he shaked his head "Yawntu, Anla is friend of yours and that's why I talk to her" You smiled at him even though you didn't really believe him. Well you weren't dump.

Maybe did even worse. I kept quiet, so I could keep you.

It was celebration in your clan. Celebrating another win agaist the sky people. You were sitting next to Kiri. Kiri was talking about her dream when you noticed your best friend talking to Neteyam. She was laughing at his joke while he was watching her. Almost like his eyes were full of hearts. "What's wrog?" Neteyam asked you after the celebration "Nothing. I'm just tired". It wasn't nothing you were thinking about the moment on the celebration.

And ain't it funny how you ran to her the second that we called it quits?

You were in the middle of an argument with Neteyam. "So this is the end?" You asked. Tears burning in your eyes. "I can't do it anymore" he said looking in your eyes. "Or she can't do it anymore?" He chuckled and walked away from you. So this was the end? You saw him smiling with her the same night you called it quits.

And ain't it funny how you said you were friends? Now it sure as hell don't look like it.

Hugging him while he was comforting you was all you could ask for. "She is just friend. Your friend and mine friend. And that will never change" you smiled at his words. Now? Now he was hugging her the same like he did to you in that moment. When he saw you looking at them he just looked away. And you knew that he would never feel sorry for the way you were hurt.

Loved you at your worst but that didn't matter.

"It's okay 'teyam. I'm here" you said holding him close to your chest while he was crying bacause of todays fight with the sky people "Almost fifty warriors died today. Fifty. And I can't do anything about it" he sniffled "I know, i know. And I'm so sorry. But It's not your fault. Its not your fault nete".

It took you two weeks to go off and date her guess you didn't cheat,

It has been two weeks since you and Neteyam broke up. Two weeks since you walked out of your hut. But today you finnaly were out hanging out with Kiri. "I'm so happy to see you again, Y/n. I missed you" you smiled at her "I missed you too,Kiri". You two were now making a neklace for each other when you heard a laughter. You knew who it was. Neteyam and Anla. You wanted to say something to Kiri but then you saw the two of them smiling in a kiss. but you're still a traitor.

Now you bring her around just to shut me down, show her off like she's a new trophy.

Talking to Neytiri on the clans dinner even after your break up with Neteyam was on daily basis. Even though she was your ex's mother she was more like a sister or friend to you. "Well yesterday's date with Jake was really good. I enjoyed it" she was smiling at the memory. "That's amazing. Were you stargazing again or?" She nodded her head "Yeah." You smiled. Then you saw Neteyam and Anla walking to the table. His hand on her lower back. You knew this posture. He was showing her off.

And I know if you were true there's no damn way that you Could fall in love with somebody that quickly.

"You can't catch me" you yelled at him laughing. "I can and I will" said Neteyam running after you. Laugher filling the forest. You were running out of breath but you didn't stop. Then you felt him pulling you into his chest. "I have you" he smirked. "You won this time". He leaned his forehead agaist yours. "I see you". How could he stop seeing you that quickly?

And ain't it funny, all the twisted games, all the questions you used to avoid?

"I'm not playing some games or how you call it, love" he said holding your hands. "I was hunting that time" he continued. "Then how Kiri and Tuk could see you two together?" he sighed "We caught a big animal today with the hunting party." Ofc he avoided the question. "

Ain't it funny, remember I brought her up? And you told me I was paranoid.

"It's always her, her and her 'teyam. I can't do it anymore." He looked at you 'confused'. "I mean..The way you look at Anla is different." He shaked his head at your words "You are being paranoid Y/n. I am looking at her like at the others. The only person I look different at is you".

Talking with Lo'ak was still the same. You could talk to him about anything and everything. Like right now you were stargazing with him. "You know. I heard that when you wish something while looking at the stars it can come true?" You laughed "It's when you see a feeding star" he chuckled "Well yeah. But we can try even now" he looked at you. "Okay" you nodded. "You go first" he said. You started thinking "Eywa, I wish that he had thought this through Before I went and fell in love with him" you said after closing your eyes. Lo'ak knew who you were talking about. He knew you were talking about his brother. "And I wish for you to move on.

When she's sleepin' in the bed we made. Don't you dare forget about the way..

I was walking to our spot hoping i won't meet him there. And I didn't. Well I didn't meet just him there. In the bed that was standing in the middle of a grassy meadow the two of them lay. She was laying on his chest while he was caressing her arm. Both of them smiling from ear to ear. you betrayed me..

It felt silly standing in front of Neteyam after three months of ignoring each other. "What you want to talk about?" You asked. His eyes were looking at you, reminding the feelings you had..Maybe still have for him. "Uhm. We haven't talk in a while. And I just wanted to know how you are" you furrowed your eyebrows. What? "I'm good. What about you?" He smiled a little "I'm doing good." It was silenece. You were looking at you hands feeling nervous. "Why did you stop talking to me?" He asked.

You looked at him for a second. Was he being serious? "Are you being serious?" You asked hoping he will just say its a joke "I just want to know what happened" he shrugged. "Maybe i stopped talking to you because we broke up" you said "Some people are still friends after they break up" you scoffed. You were holding your tears back.

"But you betrayed me and I know that you'll never feel sorry for the way I hurt, you talked to her when we were together" you took a deep breath. When you saw he wasn't saying anything you continued "Remember the day you gave me your word? But that doesn't matter! It took you two weeks to go off and date her" It was phatetic for you to cry but you couldn't stop. "I am a traitor? I didn't cheat!" He said "Guess you didn't cheat, but you're still, you're still a traitor" he tried to take your hand but you snapped it away from him "Eywa, I wish that you had thought this through before I went and fell in love with you"

Yeah, he's still a traitor.

It has been a several months since you and the Sully's arrived at the Matkeyina clan. At first it was amazing and you loved it here. But then you started to notice how your boyfriend Neteyam started to get close to one of the metkeyina girls Awun.

She was so beautiful to you. Her long black hair falling down her back and her big blue eyes sparkling on the sun. She had the most beautiful smile that could lit the whole clan.

You weren't surprised when Neteyam walked to you asking you to talk. "Hey, Y/n can we talk?" He asked. You were making a bracelet for Tuk that moment. You looked up at him and nodded your head "Yeah, yeah. What's wrong?" He sat in front of you and took a deep breath "So uhm. You know Awun right?" You nodded your head again and smiled "Well she is really good friend of mine" you furrowed your eyebrows at his words. "What are you trying to say?" He looked at his hands for a second before looking in your eyes "She is maybe more than a friend of mine"

Your heart skipped a beat. "What?" You laughed hurtly "It is some joke Lo'ak told you to do?" Your eyes were starting to well with tears. "Y/n..I'm so sorry. I just..I can't stop my feelings, I can't change them" Were you dreaming? "So i guess its not a joke" you said looking away from him "Y/n you mean a lot to me okay? That's why I dont want to lie to you" you nodded your head. "You wanted to mate with me like five months ago." You looked at him remembering the last night in the forest.

You were sitting in a cave you and Neteyam found when you were kids. Your head was on his shoulder while his hand was caressing your palm. "Nothing will change yawne. Everything will be the same except the place." He confronted you "But what if there will be some other girl you will find more pretty and interesting" the tears in your eyes didnt go unnoticed by him. "Hey, hey" he placed his hand on your cheek and made you look at him "You are the most perfect girl on this planet and noone can replace you I promise you.." You smiled "I see you Y/n." And before you could say anything he continued "and i want you to be my mate. I want you to be mine forever. Because I see our future in your eyes."

You saw in his eyes that he was thinking about the memory. You wiped your cheeks. He wasn't saying anything just looking at your crying figure. "I'm glad you told me." You stood up "I hope she will treat you right" And then you walked away from him. After 5 minutes of walking around the beach you sat down and started crying even more. Why would he do that? Wasn't you enough?

You were asking these two questions even now, six months after you and Neteyam broke up. You were looking into the mirror. When Neytiri walked in "Are you ready?" You nodded "yeah i will be there in 5 minutes" she smiled sadly and walked away. You turned to the exit looking at the ocean remembering another memory.

You were standing in the same spot looking at yourself in the mirror. "You ready?" You heard familiar voice. You turned around faicing them. Neteyam "You look beautiful, yawne" you smiled. "Thank you. You don't look bad yourself." He chuckled "thanks. So are you ready?" He asked again. "Yeah. I am. Lets go".

It was memory from the night everything changet. It was memory from the night where Neteyam met Awun. It was memory from the night you and Neteyam started drifting apart. You were crying on the spot. You were realizing what was about to happen. Neteyam and Awun becoming mates. It's okay. You walked out of the hut being welcomed with Kiri. "Hi Y/n" you smiled at her "Hi Kiri" Then you heard Jake say "We need to go"

It..It hurted. Your heart was being teared apart in the spot when you realized they are mated for life now. But now it was even worse. Seeing him that happy with her was making you question yourself Was he even that happy with me? Maybe not. Maybe yes. But you didn't know. And you maybe even didn't want to know. You were looking at him seeing him laughing at hers joke. Did he ever laugh that much with me? That was when he looked at you. It was more that 5 seconds that you were looking at each other, neither of you being able to look away. Your eyes started watering when it hit you. Your eyes weren't full of yours future anymore.

You were going stargazing with your best friend Neteyam. It was almost night that's why you were walking to the Sully's tent. But when you arrived there and were ready to walk in you heard Neteyam talking to his parents "I know, I know. Look, I already have someone in my mind" What? "We get it. But you need to get us. You are the next Olo'eyktan, you need to have mate, mate who will make a good tsahik by your side one day" Jake said. Oh. You wanted to walk away but then you heard "I get it. I understand. I just don't want to mate with someone i don't love. And as i said i have someone in my mind. Someone who i see" another oh. That was when you walked away.

You started walking into the forest, to your favorite place. A smile found your lips when you saw that you arrived there. In the middle of a lots of plants, flowers and trees was a pond with a rock next to it.

You sat on the rock and started thinking. Why Neteyam didn't tell you about it? Is he gonna end your friendship because of mating? What if he asked you to stargaze tonight just because of that? Just because he didn't want to be friends with you anymore. You started to tear up from you toughts. You had crush on him since your childood. Sometimes you were even thinking about being in love with him, but now when you knew that he was going to mate with someone else it was tearing your heart.

It's been about an hour since you were sitting there. That was when you heard something behind you. You turned your head and saw him. Your best friend.

Your teary eyes and white dots on your skin were glowing in the moonlight. You looked perfect. "Hey" he said and sat next to you. "Hi" you replied while looking at the sky "So, how are you?" You furrowed your eyebrows at his question. "Uhm good. What about you?" He looked at you and then at the sky "Good, good".

You were sitting in silence but then he broke it. "Are you okay syulang?" You thought a little, should you tell him? "Yeah, yeah I am. Why are you asking?" He shrugged "You just feel a little bit off" you looked at him for a second "I am fine".

He looked from the sky at you. "You can tell me everything. You know that right?" You nodded your head "Yeah, I know. Its nothing, really". You saw in his eyes that he didn't believe you, but you still didn't tell him anything "Why didn't you show up at my tent?" He suddenly asked. Your eyes widened a little. You did, you did show up. You wanted to tell him, but then you'd have to tell him that you heard his talk about the thing with his parents.

Your eyes started to tear up at the though of it. "Syulang, what's up with you?" His hand moved to lay on your thigh. You skaked your head "I just..I heard you talking to your parents" you sniffled "about mating with someone." You looked at him nervously. He was looking at you confused. "I don't get what you are saying" you wipped your tears away and smiled sadly at him "It's okay. Its nothing. I should go back home" Then Neteyam got it.

You were starting to stand up, but then you felt Neteyam's hand grab yours. He stood up too, looking down at you, wipping your tears then keeping his hand on your cheek. "Why are you crying ma Y/n?" You looked down at the grassy ground. Just say it. "I love you 'teyam. Okay? But I know you don't fell it that way . That's why." You looked at him with teary eyes. Before he said anything you started talking"I heard how you told your parents that you like someone. And.." you took a deep breath "want them to be your mate." He smiled down at you "I think it's time for telling you that I want you to be my mate"

It was silence. You were looking at each other. Nobody saying anything "You mean it?" He smiled at your question "Yeah, I mean it." You looked at his lips than again in his eyes "Can I kiss you?" A chuckle escaped his throat. Then his lips were on yours. Butterflies flied in your stomach. You wrapped your hands around his neck while his hands were holding your waist. You pulled away after some seconds to take a breath.

It didn't take long for you two to lay down on the rock and start stargazing. A smile on your lips thinking about who you were with.

You looked at Neteyam who was already looking at you. "I think that our friendship will change a little" you laughed at his words. "Yeah it definitely will".

It was amazing. You were happy. Smiling at the thought that It's you who he sees.
