Far too often when we listen to others we are listening to reply not to learn from them and their experiences. We want to explain to them why they are wrong and we are right. We all experience things differently and if we took the time to truly listen and understand we might begin to see things through the eyes of another person. I cannot begin to tell you the number of times I have been attacked and told I am wrong because my experience with something or someone is different than someone else all because they weren’t listening to hear but to reply.
