Hidan

- Hidan’s not exactly a fluffy person, but he does try. Instead of the flowers, if you’re in a salty mood and start roasting someone, it’s more than likely that he’ll join in. You two’ll just be salty together. Best Salty Pair™.

- He’s really touchy-feely, so he’ll sneak in as many hugs from behind as he can. Might try to sneak his hands around your body every once in a while, but just to tease you. 

- He’s not a morning person. He never gets up before 10 in the morning and cannot function without coffee. He’s hella salty first thing in the morning, so if you start getting snarky with him, hopefully not at him, it’ll really lighten his mood.

- He loves it when he watches you cook. He loves the smells of it, he loves watching the concentration going into it. He loves you; the man is just impossible at expressing it.

Kazuzu

- Again, he’s hardly the fluffy person, but he does try. If he’s really invested in you, he’ll start to spoil you a bit. It depends on how far along you guys are in the relationship. If it’s just starting out, he’s testing. He wants to see how long you last with his saltiness. In the end, he’s impressed if you’ve lasted a month or longer.

- I canon Kazuzu as the type of person with a bit of a sweet tooth, but like, doughnuts and cookies and such. Not chocolate. He has a very picky sweet tooth, and if you cook, he’ll only eat your stuff. 

- He’s stoic, very stoic, so it’ll be difficult to tell if he’s happy or not. If he’s mad, it’s certainly not at you. More often than not, it’s Hidan. He waits for you to say “Want to talk?” and begins to vent just how annoying Hidan is. After a seemingly rough vent, Kakuzu makes up for it by letting you sleep in or something. He normally drags you out of bed early.

- Kakuzu’s the type that allows his actions to speak for him. The more often he has his hand on your lower back, you know he’s being affectionate. Normally that hand is counting his money. Despite being the group’s money hoe, Kakuzu wouldn’t mind massages. Like, just his shoulders. He’s got those masks on his back, remember, so it’ll be a bit awkward for the both of them, so he settles for his shoulders and wrists. He tries it himself, but it’s different when you do it for him.

How about all cus they’re perfect.

In every aspect, violent, loving, maniacs, gentle, soft, clingy, blood, dark, fluffy, confident, fragile, power game, power couple and deep and complicated development.

Okay enough fangirling. Outside from the spiritual and religious symbolism the pair has, I will get into why I ship them at all.

Konan is a calm cruel cold woman, or she at least appears to be. She wants to bury her kind self. She’s a woman In a high position of power, that takes no bullshit from anyone.

Hidan is a loud mouth religious fanatic with his own set of goals and rules to follow. Hates authority and takes no shit from no one.

Hidan likes to annoy cold stoic people (like kakuzu) and he loathes and disrespects Pein, something that Konan can not tolerate.

Hidan would like to annoy her, insult her, flirt with her. It brings him such delight when he can break someones cold demeanor and have them attack him. He loves to annoy people like her. It’s his hobby.

Konan is a strong woman who doesn’t take his bullshit. Not a shallow person who would fall for his charm like any other woman. Konan I think at first sees Hidan as an annoyance and a moron who knows nothing about her and Pein’s relationship. And is just an annoyance to her. 

Hidan likes to annoy her much like he loves to annoy Kakuzu. Hidan is good at finding people’s weaknesses and getting under their skin. He would love to see typical “stoic” Konan display some emotions on her face for once, even if it was unbridled rage for him calling her “Pein’s lap dog”

This where the similarities between Kakuzu and Hidan’s relationship and Hidan’s relationship to Konan end.

Because unlike Kakuzu, Konan has a more softer side that she hides under her cool exterior. 

But I think she is probably one of the few who can see a deeper side to Hidan.

Hidan does have his own religion and own rules to follow. But he disobeys those rules to follow Akatsuki orders. Konan will appreciate Hidan when he does a good job on missions. She is probably one of the few that would respect his religion.

Well at least not at first.

As I said, Konan thinks he’s a loud homicidal maniac with no regard or concern for other’s safety.

But the longer he stays in Akatsuki, I think she can see how loyal he is to the cause. It would be pointless to insult his religion or beliefs. Because that’s one of the similarities they do share. Both of them are servants of an Uncaring Cruel God.

Konan is an angel to a false God who doesn’t appreciate her, and blames her for the death of his closest friend. Resulting in a strained relationship over many years.

Hidan is a member of a religious cult to a God who abandoned him. (If his immortality is real we can assume Jashin is real. Hidan was not saved by his god leaving Shikamaru’s speech of: “The only one reigning down judgement is me” the last thing he hears before he’s forced into a eternal coma) 

Hidan and Konan are both servants of God whose God doesn’t appreciate them as much as they think. 

Konan feels no right to judge Hidan for his beliefs and is one of the few I believe Hidan can just rant forever about Jashinism without being judged or being told to shut up. Konan is curious, since the cult is so little known about and he has fascinating abilities.

Plus… Hidan already respects her majorly even at the “teasing” and “bullying” stage. And HIdan respects no one. Not Pein, not Kakuzu. He hates authority, so why would he respect an authority figure?

Her proposition and the idea of her ideals interested him. 

(not to mention she plays along with his joke and gets him to show a genuine smile at her. ) 

And in Naruto SD (comic only) It’s shown that Hidan even says: “Even someone thickheaded like me gets to call her angel.”

Hidan is shown as having respect for Konan while he possesses none for Pein or anyone else.

I like where this can lead into their development and Hidan battling his “hell-fire” demons like Frollo.

Not to mention, a man who wishes for nothing but war meets a woman who was raised in a warzone, a Woman who wishes for nothing but peace meets a man who was raised in a peaceful village. Their paths cross and their futures intertwine.

Hidan does have a goofy side which can remind Konan of Yahiko at times.

I could go on and on.

The relationship can be very tragic on Shakesperain levels, While also being very clingy.

I think the best part of them as a relationship is that Konan would never try to get Hidan to change his ways. She is used to killers. She understands the importance of faith. She wouldn’t force him to change who he is. Hidan can respect that and usually if he’s treated with kindness he’ll be kind back. He’d be far more adamant about her converting to Jashinism though. (just cause he hates Pein) 

So the too long didn’t read version that boils down to the main reason:

“I can’t get enough of a dark and evil man just madly, desperately in love with a good woman.”

Akatsuki Beach Headcanons

Nagato/Pein: He’ll be sitting under the parasol at the rim of the terrain, trying to avoid human interactions at all costs. He just wants to be left alone. Maybe he’ll bring a book with him to prevent boredom. Also, he most definitely has a fan and sunscreen with sun protection factor 100 with him lmao

Konan: She’ll either sit down with Nagato, involving him into a conversation or she’ll go into the water to cool off. She isn’t fond of how crowded the beach is, but wants to make the best out of it because they have barely time to relax being a villain.

Itachi: Similar to Nagato he backs out and avoids the really crowded spaces (and the sun). He’ll lie down under a tree and just observe the people, maybe read a book. He and Nagato would be the first people to leave, because it’s just too much of everything for them.

Kisame: Doesn’t stay at the shor and is the first to enter the water. He’ll push his way through the people and will swim out the farthest of all people. Enjoys his time in the water and occasionally checks up on Itachi.

Hidan: Tries to get Kakauzu to come with him into the water because he doesn’t want to go alone (he’s low-key afraid of sea animals). Unfortunately Hidan gets more annoyed with every try and raises his voice, attracting people’s reaction. It eventually gets him banned from the beach terrain.

Kakuzu: Is really unfazed and just sits down in a canvas chair reading newspaper, patiently waiting for their kindergarden trip to end.

Sasori: Is very annoyed by the amount of people and joins Itachi and Nagato under the tree/parasol.

Deidara: Has to try to contain himself from blowing something up. He would love to make small bombs to let them explode in between the crowd, but Nagato/Pein forbids him to do so. Probably ends up lying down in a sunny spot to tan himself.

Orochimaru: Is on the lookout for children?  his next victims? interesting people who could help him with his ‘researches’. Is pretty annoyed by the whole situation though.

Zetsu: Is simply observing the whole scenario.

Tobi: Walks around approaching strangers. He scares most people off with his mask and weird behaviour, but doesn’t give up and eventually fools around with some children whose parents almost beat him up because they think he’s a pedophile. After barely escaping death he goes to the nearby kiosk to buy 20 popsicles.

What kind of girl would be suitable for Hidan?

I try to keep these in character as possible, so be warned. I hope you like it

Hidan

Hidan needs someone who can keep him in line. He’s an impulsive guy who’s doing stupid things all the time without thinking too much about it. It would be best for him to a partner who can have fun with him without holding him back but also have a sly manipulative side that will make sure he doesn’t get into too much shit.

Someone who nags him isn’t really cool for him. It would have no effect on him, in fact he will want to do the thing you’re nagging about even more, just to show you that you can’t control him.  Annoying him like that is always a bad idea. Someone who’s more sly about getting him to do things would be more effective.

Hidan is quick to temper, and will try to start arguments (sometimes playful arguments) about anything and everything. Being with a person who’s also quick to temper would not be good for him and being with someone who shies away from confrontation would also bother him. He needs a person who can take most of his temperamental moods and play it off. They shouldn’t take what he says too seriously but also be able to respond to him in a witty way to keep him entertained.

Speaking of him being temperamental and fiery he definitely would not go well with someone with a shy and timid personality. He would walk all over them. He needs someone who can hold their own against him, but not necessarily in an explosive way. Like if they have arguments, while he yells, this person can make a witty or sarcastic remark and have their say as well.

Hidan gets bored easily, and is getting himself into deep shit all the time. He would need a girl that can keep up with his insane lifestyle without restricting him too much but also be a background force that can slyly provide his life with more stability without actually restricting him in any way.

Lastly he wouldn’t do well with someone too emotional or someone romantic. He’s just not that kinda guy. He can be very observant and perceptive about emotions but he wouldn’t want to deal with someone else’s crap. If you’re upset and it shows he would expect you to deal with it if he thinks it’s something dumb. But if he thinks it’s important he may help and support you through negative emotions.

Bonus:

He needs to be someone open. With his belief system, someone stuck in their own ways is just not gonna cut it. They have to be accepting of all the weird crap he’s into or else it’s just not gonna work. In a more intimate relationship he needs someone willing to try all the kinky crap he would probably want to do.
