A soft, fruity and sultry body mist. Not too heavy perfect for everyday glam :) Love the warm fruity nodes and (especially) the price tag :)

What to do with those nasty ripened Bananas? The Bountiful Banana Bread
Banana bread is one of the most challenging recipes to master. Here is a quick and simple recipe you can follow tonight!
Remember, the only way this will come out nicely is if you BAKE WITH LOVE!
You will need 2 large bowls, 1 small bowl a mixer and 1 regular loaf pan to start.
3 ripened bananas (more or less depending on preference)
2 large eggs (My Aunt always says to leave them out for half hour or so for better whipping)
Around 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
1/2 cup of melted butter (not too hot)
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of vanilla yogurt (use milk or sour cream as alternative)
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
Grease your loaf pan (I use regular butter instead of Pam) and pre-heat your oven to 350 while you get started.
In one bowl, sift together flour, baking soda and salt
In one bowl, mix together melted butter with sugar. Mix for few minutes. Add eggs and extract. Mix slowly for 5 minutes.
Slowly add in flour mixture to butter and sugar batter. Mix for few minutes to avoid clumping.
In small bowl, grab bananas and press a fork through. Add in the yogurt/sour cream/milk and mix until smooth.
Add banana mixture to batter and mix for a few minutes.
Place batter in to greased pan and put in the oven for 60 minutes or until golden brown.
Tip: The more smooth the bananas, the better. You can stick a toothpick in to the bread around to 50-55 minute mark to test where your baking is at. When the toothpick Ā comes out dry, it is ready!
Enjoy.

As promised, here is my outfit worn for Memory Ball! Not quite the white boho-chic look I was going for however it was nothing less than love at first site when I sifted through the rack and found this dress. The camera didn't completely pick up the colour of the dress (bummer), but trust my word that it is much more coral than it is red. Coming from a bustier, fuller figured gal, this dress was able to fall perfectly on to my curves. Remember cleavage is not classy; you can accentuate your bust with Ā a tapered waistline like this one in the picture.Ā It is always a good thing to spin up your style by trying new ideas however there are always ways to add your personality into the final touches to make it true to you.Ā I typically wouldn't pair a big necklace with big earrings AND bracelets but it really did go well together with this look. I call it Princess-With-A-Punch because although it is soft and girly, the accessories add the final punch of bold and badass. Great contrast.Ā
Get this look for under 100 dollars! Dress: $35 at Costa Blanca. Pearl Necklace: $10 at Forever 21 Bracelet & Earrings: $11 at Urban Behaviour Black/Brown 5' Heels: $30 at Sterling Shoulder Bag: $20 at Aldos Ā

Memory Ball Event Gala (This Saturday!)
So I've been volunteering for the past few months to help some friends organize a very fancy fundraiser in support of the Alzheimer Society of Toronto. It's been a great time and I am really excited to attend this thing! The location is perfect, set in a trendy, loft-style venue accompanied by an open bar and lots of music. Very classy. I'm not sure what I'll be wearing just yet however I plan on buying a boho-chic white cocktail dress. I'm thinking to accent it through a really nice bold teal complimented with gold jewelry. This outfit will be posted soon! Back to exams :(Ā

"We are the orphans of the American Dream" - Satellite, Rise Against
You can't ignore the lyrics while listening to Satellite by Rise Against. This song (just as the band itself) takes a political route and speaks out in an act of rebellion towards the American government. This quote particularly refers not only the current economic crisis leading many American's into a state of despair, but the isolation felt by many refugees (and foreigners). America is perceived as the promised land to many however the decisions made by the government only end up limiting the lives of the American public. You can also relate this song to the government promises made to those in the army. It is argued that recruitment is heavily based on brainwashing and rewarding individuals as a means of hiding the reasons behind war as well as the emotional and physical damage caused by it. I don't think it's a far stretch to say that the American public has been orphaned (and mostly deceived) by the American Dream.

H&M Uses Fake Human Models.
I shop at H&M just as regularly as I watch their commercials on television. After hearing about their battle with society through Twitter, I too joined in on the attack. H&M has been accused and admitted to using fake, computer generated models. I can't help but question what this means to humanity in relation to self-concept and self-esteem. I imagine young girls and boys admiring the advertiser's concept of true beauty, erasing their own. Using fake models defaces what it means to be human as well as ruins one's perception of beauty. How can you idolize something outside of reality? Something fake. More info can be found via this link: http://newsfeed.time.com/2011/12/07/hm-admits-to-using-computer-generated-bodies-for-models/

As I sit watching television I notice a Campbellā€™s commercial. As I walk through the poster sale at school, a framed picture of a can of Campbellā€™s soup transforms into a piece of art. As I search through my kitchen cupboard, I sift through Campbellā€™s soup cans. It makes me think, is advertising art? Is the commodification of the original really art? What were Warholā€™s intensions with representing Post Modernity with canned soup? What is the notion of fragmentation? The medium canā€™t be the message. Messages are decoded through the meanings people give to them. Just the daily food for thought running through my imagination. J.Dilecce

Why are MY Thursday's Jersdays?
I can't honestly describe why it is I entertain myself watching Jersey Shore. It could come down to the fact that it may be the one thing I can offer to society. I've always took part in sub-cultures however maturing has made me understand the importance of relating to others. Jersey Shore depicts popular culture's reality and it's easy to consume. Other's admittedly enjoy watching the show because they are "amused by its stupidity". Could it be that we as a society feel better about ourselves through watching the show? Are we just passive consumers? Or do we just love to hate things? Either way, my Thursday nights will continually be spent with my friends entertained by mindless media.

What is it about Starbucks that makes it so special? Starbuck's as a company has branded it's image with a sense of exclusivity and is often associated with stardom. As you walk into the shop you are immediately emerged in a contemporary yet cozy atmosphere. You are often served by a young, unconventional student who is likely to be personable and friendly - it helps that your name is called when your drink is ready. The packaging of your personalized drink itself reflects the brand image and a sense of independence and originality. Accompanied by either your computer or friends and packaged drink, you become part of the much desired Starbuck's culture submerged with both intellect and style; a step closer to the stars, freedom journey and ultimately, individualism.Ā  J. Could've been written much better but still holds (somewhat) true to Green Day's story and themes. Despite my infatuation, the review rating is trustworthy
