My Thoughts: This fic is my go to fic. I absolutely adore everything about it. It inspires me so much! The characters and the relationships and the arcs are so thought out and so beautifully written. I absolutely adore this fic with all my heart. Regulus’ characterisation in this fic is probably my favourite. I’ve read this fic four times and my opinion on it has not changed since my first read back when it was first released. This fic fills me with so much love and warmth. I always come back to it. Each time I re-read it I find myself noticing things that I didn’t notice the first time around. Things that in my head, when I think about it are actually different to how it actually is and that just surprises me each time because it’s like reading it for the first time, coming across things that I didn’t realise or things I’ve forgotten. Solmussa, you are so incredibly talented and I admire your work so much. If this ever becomes a book, I will be one of the first to buy it, I have no doubts about it. Only the Brave is a fic that you can always come back to, I love rereading and I love watching the edits and seeing fanart inspired by it. This fic is one of the first fics I will recommend to people joining the fandom. This fic is so big and well known for a reason and I’m so glad that it gets the recognition it deserves!

His fingers were warm, and he smelled the same as ever. Warm, like home. He needed to change his clothes because he also smelled a bit like blood, but Regulus didn’t even care.

“Stay,” James whispered, just for Regulus, with no care for their audience. “Stay this time. I love you. I was probably made to love you. Stay.”

Regulus’s coin was warm against his skin, a soft presence, full of years of love. Heated by the intensity, the secret smile James would wear every time he pressed his lips to it.

The future was murky. Regulus didn’t know what was going to happen or how he was alive. He hadn’t planned to be, but here he was. Maybe none of them would survive the war. Maybe Regulus had lived today to die another not long from now. Or maybe, they’d all live to be eighty and the sun would shine every day.

Regulus’s skin was cold, but James was warm.

“Okay,” Regulus said, and for the moment, that was enough.

My Thoughts: VAMPIRE AU VAMPIRE AU!!! I absolutely adore vampire au’s they are quite possibly one of my biggest guilty pleasures. This one is done so well, I adore it so much. I have probably read this fic at least 3 to 5 times and will definitely read it again. I actually love the exploration of vampires and their powers and how they cope with it, how they explore that darker side of themselves that they now need to utilise to survive. I also love when fics explore the dynamics between werewolves and vampire, this one has a small little snippet of it but I actually loved that it was included at all. (Just Remus getting a little snippy with Reg close to the full moon). I adore magically creatures so much and vampires have always been one of my favourites. So I definitely recommend this one! (James is so me in this one, I do not apologise.)

Get Regulus Out
