Who knew my first drawing of 2021 would be a personal piece of me, my new ferret Stella, and her platypus Perry.

Listen, it’s mid September so it’s basically sweater weather. Do you know what follows sweater weather? Hot cocoa weather. The best part of fall in my opinion. 

I may not live in the ideal climate for sweaters, but I can crank my AC to 50 and pretend like I’m still in crisp New England.

Well kids, we did it. Today is the last day of MerMay 2020! 

The prompt of the day was Selfie and honestly, it’s such a perfect prompt for me because I am a “selfie queen”. I even have a shell shaped phone case similar to the one our lovely mermaid is holding. 

Bit said to see MerMay ending but also excited to do something new and fresh. 

All of my marvelous original mermaids will be up in my Society6 shop and I’ll be opening up commissions very soon so look out for both of those things in the next few days.

She’s the girl all the bad guys want 

I’d like to think the aquatic equivalent of punk rocks involves bands like Green Bay and The Tadpoles. 

We’re finally at Day 27 of MerMay and I couldn’t be more pleased with this punky mermaid. I mixed a bit of my old high school style with some modern trends to get this lovely lady.

I’m super late posting on here (sorry) but here is Day 16 of Mermay! When I saw it was deity themed I knew the little Greek mythology geek within me HAD to do Aphrodite. I really wanted to amp up the soft feminine vibes on this drawing to play off of the harsh darkness of my previous mermaid.

Day 4: Star Wars

I’m once again participating in MerMay and as with every year, my first mermaid is dedicated to the late great Carrie Fisher. 

I follow the Tom Bancroft/Official MerMay prompt list and just cherry pick the ones I like. This year I aim to do two-ish a week but that’s all subject to change. Check my IG for regular updates!

New Horizons...

I think it’s safe to say the Animal Crossing obsession has kicked in. 

The Mr bought me a Switch/AC for my birthday this year and ever since then it’s been nonstop tree shaking, rock pounding, and renovations over on Atlantica. 

I finally tore myself away from the Switch to do this AC style challenge DaniDrawn on instagram posted and I feel like this isn’t the last you’ll see of my islander.
