After watching the new KPOP demon hunters movie, i needed to draw pretty boys so i redrew some OCs i remembered i had from 2 years ago

SVSSS!Mermaid AU idea

Shen Qingqiu being asked by his disciple Luo Binghe if he'll ever grow a tail as long as his shizun (who has a very long, graceful, green tail) and SQQ picturing how Binghe ends up looking like the original novel, naturally very large as a mer-demon, towering over the original and of course responds, "haha I'm sure you will Binghe," then pats him on the head and moves on with his day before he can think any more about Binghe's future

So imagine Shen Qingqiu's suprise when Binghe returns from the abyss much, MUCH more larger than PIDW Bingge. Around the size of a whale, instead of the respectable shark-size he was in original!

This takes inspiration from that headcanon that Bingmei would end up being larger than Bingge due to the fact he was well taken care of, but this can also be combined with the concept of "carriers" in the fishy world tend be larger!

Especially in heavenly demons, they get very very large so its no suprise Binghe ends up towering over everyone, because naturally he wants his shizun, who's very slim and vibrant! Obviously meant to be uh.. the opposite of a carrier.

Even Liu Qinnge and Yue Qingyuan could see who's the clear winner of Shen Qingqiu's affections with a mate that large!

However with Luo Binghe being the only heavenly demon in the novel, Shen Qingqiu definitely misinterprets this as Binghe's rage making him stronger, is terrified, and runs away.

It'd take him to learn the true reason why Binghe's so large when he meets Tianlung-Jun, who is still quite large, but more around the original Binghe's size, while also being a little bony due to his rotting sea cucumber body.(at least Shen Qingqiu's alias as "peerless cucumber" makes a little more sense now...)

...In the end Shen Qingqiu's kelp house will need to be renovanted to accomodate Binghe's size, but SQQ is more than happy to make SQH and his disciples do the work!

Also it'd be really funny to see Bingge's reaction to a version of himself that is more than twice his size and with a nize shizun

Would you draw Shen Jiu and Shen Yuan sitting together discussing something academic, or maybe a trashy novel?

It might be a bit strange discussing a trashy novel when it’s a trashy novel that you’re from, but I think Shen Qingqiu manages his existentialism pretty well. Unlike Shen Yuan, who has a tendency not to handle things well…
