Many of these rules pertain to the literal silencing and shaming of women. Article 13 of the 35-article document relates to women. Women must veil their bodies at all times in public, and they must wear a face covering to avoid temptation and tempting others. Female voices are deemed intimate and should not be heard singing, reciting, or reading aloud in public. Women are forbidden from looking at men who are not related through marriage or by blood.

Freeing gender treatment from political ideology and instituting evidence-based guidelines would allow parents to trust doctors to provide the best care for their kids. It would also enable parents to trust their medical team to consider other potential interventions in those rare instances in which a child’s gender distress is consistent, insistent and persistent. And it would eliminate any basis for extreme measures like legal bans.

Open criticism of Hamas has been growing in Gaza, both on the streets and online. Hamas should end this war today, it is within their power to do so. All Hamas has to do is to surrender themselves and release the hostages. For the sake of the innocent people trapped in Gaza, surrendering is the moral thing for Hamas to do.

For Hamas, Everything Is Going According to Plan

Hamas was hoping to lure Israel into Gaza, where it would get stuck in the quicksand of reoccupation while fighting a long-term, albeit low-intensity, insurgency. Hamas would then wave its bloody shirt to Palestinians and the world, announcing itself as the legitimate national leadership, because it would be the one fighting Israeli occupation forces for control of Palestinian land on a daily basis in Gaza. Against its blood sacrifice, Hamas would cast the Palestinian Authority as the Vichy gendarmerie of the occupation in the West Bank, and the PLO as a humiliated dupe, waiting pointlessly at an empty negotiating table for peace and independence that never come. The insurgency that Hamas hoped for has already begun. That’s why the Hamas leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, reportedly sent a message in February reassuring anxious Hamas leaders in Qatar and Lebanon that “we have the Israelis right where we want them.” Everything appears to be going according to plan. Why, then, would Hamas possibly be interested in Biden’s peace plan? It has even less motivation than Netanyahu. The grim reality is that the only people left in the world who seem to want the war to continue into the indefinite future are also the only ones who could stop it: the Hamas leaders and Netanyahu. Biden deserves credit for trying, but he has almost no chance of success.

You would think that if a genocide was actually going on, Hamas would not be so content to continue the status quo in Gaza.

Families of the eight American hostages still captive in Gaza praised the IDF for its rescue operation Saturday, and said in a statement: "Until every individual is safely returned home, our commitment and efforts must not waver. Hamas leadership remains safe and secure in their vast underground tunnel system, while the citizens of Gaza that they are supposed to represent, face bloodshed and starvation due to a war Hamas initiated.

The hatred Hamas has for Israel far outweighs any concern they have for the lives of Palestinians living in Gaza. In fact, Hamas is counting on many innocent Gazans being killed, this is how they gain international support and how they hope to undermine Israel's support around the world.

Hamas benefits from Palestinians being killed, Israel does not. This is a war that Hamas wanted.

The armed wing of Palestinian militant group Hamas executed one of the group's leading commanders after allegations surfaced of gay sex and theft, it has been revealed. Members of the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades shot Mahmoud Ishtiwi, 34, three times in the chest after they had detained him for a year, The New York Times reported on Tuesday.
