As you could probably tell from me not posting anything really for the last couple of weeks, I have stopped watching Legacies.

I tried to keep my promise of waiting for the finale to make a decision to continue or not but honestly, I don't want to. It got to the point where I was so angry watching the episodes that I started laughing at myself for feeling that way for a TV show. So one week, I just didn't watch it and I couldn't get myself to catch up after three weeks. I honestly fallen out of love with it, as well as the characters and it makes me so sad.

I remember that I used to wake up extra early to watch the new episodes before work, because I just couldn't wait until I got home in the afternoon. I needed to see it right away. And now there are 5+ episodes that I haven't seen in full and I just don't care.

I kept up with what was happening via Twitter but at this point, I'm just not interested.

So, I won't be writing anymore Legacies x Reader fanfictions as of now. I'm not saying never again because it could still happen but definitely not now.

my mind stopped working

Apparently, I've become a ranting blog but this episode was so horrible that I have to write my thoughts down. 😐

First, MG. Let's look at it from his perspective, shall we? A random guy suddenly shows up at his school, his home, and with that guy, dangerous monsters keep showing up as well. They threaten the lives of his friends and 'family' constantly for no good reason and suddenly it's their job to protect that person no matter what. He becomes friends with Landon and does try to save him, despite him pushing MG about his family and pushing him into an episode where he kills Landon. Landon comes back and he feels fucking awful. The school shuns him for it until they make up.

And now that Landon is 'dead', MG hides the ascendant for exactly this reason that happened in the episode. Because he knew the danger it would put on people he cares about. The twins and Hope. He does not want to see them hurt and he knows if Landon comes back, everything will go back to the way it was before. Monsters coming back.

I do not blame MG for that. At all. There needed to be a person who saw things clearly for once and try to put a stop to it because apparently, Alaric can't tell his teenage students what they can do. (Even if they went behind his back, Alaric should've at least said fuck no that's dangerous, I'm not allowing you to do that, instead of 'yeah, it's your choice')

He risked Hope hating him for this in order to try and save his friends that are there and alive! They didn't know Landon was alive, no matter if he 'sent' a message to Hope.

And now, according to the writers, Landon is everybody's best friend because suddenly everybody is on his side and hates MG.

"We almost lost this school because everybody's parents were afraid that if they send their kids back they'd be forced to fight monsters."

Don't you as a student of the school want to put an end to that, too? Don't be blind.

Second, Hope.

I am so disappointed in her. I think many people are. When the majority of the fandom talks about how obsessed Hope is, THIS is what we are talking about.

She was willing to lose everybody! Everybody for Landon... I mean come on.

Lizzie was willing to help her in the beginning but when MG finally said what needed to be said, she backed out and Hope had the nerve of going to Josie. After seeing what black magic did to her, FIGHTING TO GET HER BACK in the last episodes of s2 to manipulate, guilt-trip and gaslight her just so Josie would help her, fucking pissed me off. She did not have any right to ask Josie for something like this but Josie wanted to help anyway.

Lizzie had to betray MG to save her SISTER because she was afraid that she's going to die. Hope did that. She was willing to let the twins DIE in front of her, because of her, for a one-year relationship that the writers are trying so hard to make "epic". I seriously don't understand how so many of you can't see that.

Oh and this...

"People begging for Hope to act like a Mikaelson and when she finally does people complain. That was such a Klaus move."

Klaus risked everybody's lives for his family. HIS SIBLINGS AND THE MOTHER OF HIS CHILD. I say it again, Hope did it for a 'one-year' relationship (in which Landon spent half of that dating Josie or dying).

Those are not the same.

Just to explain where my head is regarding Legacies.

As you can probably see, I am not really writing as many Legacies x reader fanfics as I used to in the early seasons. And there are two explanations for that.

1. I have fallen out of love with the show.

The long hiatus didn’t help my feelings towards it and I know that’s not anybody’s fault but it affected my view on it nevertheless. The repetitiveness, the low-stakes, and the awful storyline of season 3 are so tiring and frustrating that I honestly got mad. About a TV show that I’m supposed to love.

And I know “if you hate it so much, don’t watch it” is a fair point but the reason why I stuck around for so long is that I know how good Legacies can be. Season 1 and some episodes of season 2 were so entertaining and fun to watch that I waited around in case I get at least 1 amazing episode a season. I was willing to endure 15 bad ones if I got at least 1.

I wanted to continue watching for the girls, Hope, Lizzie, and Josie because, at this point, I do not care about any of the other characters and I'm so sad about that.

Legacies is supposed to be about the legacies which are the three girls, not Landon. And speaking of which. My second reason.

2. Landon.

I didn't really care about Landon in s1, but I didn't hate him. He was just there as Hope's love interest and I was fine with it. The girls still took on the main character roles mostly, had storylines that didn't revolve around him (except for Hope but are we surprised?) but it wasn't this shove-down-your-throat kind of way now the writers are trying to make Landon be the main character. I didn't realize this while watching s1 but everything was already about Landon from the beginning. His father, Malivore wanted him back that's why monsters started coming to the school. Everybody wanted to protect him.

Imagine having the only tribrid in the Universe, daughter of one of the original vampires and the Queen of the Crescent Wolf Clan werewolf, and writing your show about a mud boy.

I'm sorry if you think otherwise but I am, personally, sick of it. I'm sick of Hope saying Landon's name over and over again, always thinking about Landon, obsessing over him, not having anything outside of that relationship. So basically according to the writers, Hope is not interesting enough to be her own person.

And to the people of Twitter claiming it is "toxic" to hate on Landon/Handon and "if you hate him so much, don't watch" can fuck off. It is normal and totally acceptable to hate a fictional character as long as you don't go after the actor who's playing that character. I can hate Landon or anybody else as much as I want and I don't have to have a reason but I do. I can give you so many reasons why I grew to hate him and I entirely blame the writers for having some weird kind of obsessing with him as well.

It is always the same thing. Landon feeling insecure, Hope reassures him. Monster. Landon is dead. Oops, no, he is alive. Handon fluff. Landon feels insecure and wants to be the Hero.

Nothing ever changes. It is always the same thing over and over again.

I know they are supposed to break up sometime soon but it honestly can't come sooner. They really need to change some things up before they lose even more people. There's a reason why S1 got on average 1 million views per episode and S3 got 0.7 at its best and 0.5 at its worst.

But despite all of that, I made a promise to myself that I would watch season 3 because I love the girls so much and I want to give the show one last chance. If it doesn't change drastically, I am not going to watch season 4.

Hope Mikaelson Being Protective Over Her Human Girlfriend - Headcanon

Hope would let anybody know that you are hers and off limits

Nobody is brave enough to mess with the Tribrid but Hope's still cautious and looks out for you every time

She lost too many people already, she wasn't going to lose you

She would walk hand in hand with you down the halls proudly and wait for you so she can walk you to and from each classroom

Hope would glare down anybody that would look at the two of you the wrong way until they scattered away

She would be your partner during the classes that you share and in case something would go wrong she would step in immediately

She'd roll her eyes when you'd drag her to school parties at the Old Mill but pull you closer to her body on the dance floor

You'd draw hearts on the web between her fingers during the boring Assembly, the two of you not listening to anything Alaric is saying

She'd give you a necklace filled with vervain so nobody would take advantage of you, including herself, even though you know she never would

She would protect you with her life because to her, you are the only person who truly loves and understands her.

Hope Mikaelson

The two of you would go to the lake to spar. She goes easy on you but both of you know she could totally kick your ass. She smoothly dodges your swings while she smirks at you and you pant heavily, exhausted. She would distract you with her blue eyes and you would find yourself on the ground with her on top of you. 

Josie Saltzman

You would help Josie practice offensive magic in the woods. You watch as her hands move through the air as her lips muttered the spells and you stand your ground, ready to fight. You two would smile at each other competitively and raise your hands at the same time, your powers filling the air around you with energy. She would always win.

Lizzie Saltzman

Late night boxing matches in the gym. She lets out all her anger, hitting the bag again and again as you hold it in place. She’s sweating and breathing heavily but when she stops a smile appears on her face. You playfully push her and she pushes back until the two of you tumble to the ground in a fit of laughter.

Spending Valentine’s Day with Josie - Headcanon

You planned a whole day of surprises for her, wanting to spoil her after everything she’s been through. Starting with waking her up with gentle kisses against her lips before carrying in the breakfast for the both of you in bed and laying around for hours. After getting up, you pack a picnic basket full of her favorite foods and grabbing her hand to take her to the lake for a late lunch on the dock. You gave her Hersey kisses and she kissed you with a smile, calling you cheesy. After eating the food, you leisurely walked hand in hand through the woods, talking about anything and everything, just enjoying your time together. When you end up at the Old Mill, a movie projector you sat up earlier makes her gasp and her eyes to turn to you lovingly, making you blush. You watch a couple of both of your favorite movies with your head laying on Josie’s lap, your fingers intertwined as the sun goes down.

I don’t know about you but I felt so emotional when Lizzie was reading Caroline’s letter and she said, “Elizabeth, there’s nothing wrong with you”. I feel like Lizzie has been waiting for those words to be said out loud for years and the fact that it came from her Mom was everything to her. Caroline comforted her daughter from thousands of miles away so much better than Alaric ever could. She gave Lizzie perspective and told her she herself wasn’t perfect. That she felt just like Lizzie when she was her age and struggled to find herself. That there wasn’t just one solution to “fix” herself. And that there was nothing to fix. 

I honestly wanted to cry because I feel like Lizzie has been up and down emotionally. Never feeling exactly stable or “normal”. And I’m not saying that that letter can fix everything. But when she does feel low or weird or crazy, she can reread that letter and remember that one of the most important person to her loves her just the way she is and it’s honestly beautiful.

Trust Me

Pairing: Jade x Reader

Prompt: Jade finds you after you were bitten.

A/N: I had this sit in my draft for a long time and you guys been asking for Jade fics so here you go :)

You don’t remember much when you wake up. 

The bite marks on your neck throbs in pain and you feel like your veins are on fire, burning your organs from the inside out. Every breath you take only fuels the fire and you’re desperate to make it go away. 

You know what’s happening to you. You live in Mystic Falls after all and the rumors of supernatural beings existing in your neighborhood doesn’t stay a rumor for long. People either adjust to it or they leave the first chance they got. You stayed. 

Maybe you shouldn’t have.

You follow the rules the Major puts in place so you could co-exist. People don’t go out late at night, letting the vampires and the werewolves roam freely on the streets as long as they don’t hurt anybody. In exchange, the supernatural avoids the town center during daylight. It works for the first few weeks. 

Then it suddenly doesn’t. 

People start to riot because they feel like their rights are being taken away; the thought of them having to restrict themselves when they were here first raised the tension tenfold. Every attempt to explain that the supernatural were here for centuries goes ignored.  

You hear her before you see her. Your ears pick up on the faintest of sounds within a mile radius and her scent hits your nostrils strongly. You don’t recognize her but the moment light blues land on you, you know she’s a vampire. 

“Oh you’re awake.”

“Did you do this to me?” You accuse her rather harshly but you feel like you can’t be blamed. You’re transitioning and every moment you don’t drink human blood takes you closer to death. You have a choice. Dead or Undead.   

“How’re you feeling?” She dodges the question easily and takes a step closer, eyes roaming over your body causing a light shudders to rip through your spine. She’s wearing a black leather jacket with ripped jeans and she looks rather young. Maybe your age. Her human age, you think.

“I’m - ” You quiet down uncertainly, flexing your fingers in and out and grimacing when it hurts each time. You whisper, “What’s happening to me?”

The girl sighs and kneels down in front of you, ignoring the way you wince at the movement, “You’re transitioning.”

You already knew this much but you needed to hear the words out loud.

Her gaze burns into your soul as she studies you and your heart flatters, “Do you know what that means?”

You nod shakily and briefly hold eye contact before it becomes too much and you look away again.

“What to do you want to do?”

“Like I have options.” You scoff.

The girl tilts her head, “You always have a choice.”

Your head snaps up to look at her, her eyes locking onto yours with such intensity. You try to remember if you’ve ever seen her before but your head throbs painfully. 

“What happened to me?”

She bites her lips slightly before answering, “I found you on the side of the road. Somebody attacked you.”

You breathe out shakily as your eyes fills with tears and you cross your arms across your chest when you realize you are freezing. You know it’s a stupid question but the words leave your mouth before you can stop it. “Am I dead?”

The girl pauses, her hand reaching out like she wants to touch you but she doesn’t. “What’s your name?”

You stutter out your name and she smiles gently. “I’m Jade. I’m gonna help you figure this out. Trust me.”

Even thought you just met, the whispered promise settles you somewhat. You don’t want to go through this alone. Jade lets the words sink in, allowing you a few moments to gather yourself as she stays still in front of you, standing guard.

You don’t know if you feel this way because everything is heightened but you don’t have time to really question it because in that moment a terrifying scream echoes through the woods. 

Jade looks over her shoulder and you feel the tension rise around you. Fear spread through your veins as she grabs your forearm and pulls you to your feet.

“We have to go.”

about your legacies rant, not to start a fight i just have different opinions. i think it’s kind of okay that hope didn’t ask about josie bc she also deserves a break and landon made her happy in that moment. i don’t agree with the idea that she just would have stayed sleeping bc of him because that’s just weird but i don’t mind that when she woke up her focus was on him. it’s not horrendous for her to just think of herself. and the kiss i think is different to hosie because josie and hope and friends and hope would have been crossing lines that she can’t. she couldn’t just kiss her friend. they’re friends. and yes you obviously need consent in a relationship but handon is basically all about doing whatever it takes (which is kind of annoying sometimes but anyway) and it was that stupid true loves kiss trope as well. it’s just different if you are in a relationship, it’s not okay but you can’t compare hosie and handon.

It’s definitely not a fight, don’t worry 😊 I just found it incredibly frustrating how the writers brushed off Hope’s concern/feeling toward Josie. I don’t necessarily mean romantic feelings but just as friends. It was Hope who kept insisting that they’re not going to give up on Josie when people wanted to, she risked getting hurt just to save Josie in her subconscious.

I didn’t expect her to run after Josie the minute she woke up but the fact that she didn’t even at least ask if Josie made it or if she was okay, was really weird. When the twins and Alaric got back from the prison world, Hope immediately turned to see if Josie was still Josie. 

I think most of us just frustrated and angry because we know that Legacies has potential and are tired of seeing it basically treated as a joke in the tvdu universe. I hate that the writers are just having fun and writing the most ridicules  episode because Legacies is ‘light and not that dark’ when it can be just as good as TO. 

Oh and we want it to be about the legacies. Hope, Josie and Lizzie.
