i think the coming out scene is simon day dreaming and he doesn't know about leah yet? i took the opening scene with them to be sharing that gay isolation experience

was it? that would make sense and i hope so but tbh regardless of whether it was a daydream or not i wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t address that she was bi? since technically its not in the book but...i mean it would be nice if they included it!

Why is straight the default? Everyone should have to declare one way or another, and it shouldn’t be this big awkward thing whether you’re straight, gay, bi, or whatever.
