I visited Hikarigaoka, Tokyo. This is the neighbourhood where the kids lived in Digimon Adventure. Was dope to walk around it IRL.
Then I visited the Toei Animation Museum, then Mandarake Special 6 in Nakano Broadway. I bought a 25th Anniversary Color Digimon. What a great day.

Kasper In The Glitter by Philip Ridley. Illustrations by Chris Riddell. I picked this up off Amazon recently as it's one of those things from childhood that you wonder whether was a real thing; it occupied such a distant but important section of memory for me.
Reading it again was great with a new found appreciation for the strange story and dialogue, references to American 50s + 60s culture and amazing illustrations. The big picture of the crowd in particular reminded me of something out of Watchmen.

Fun project from Green Day. Each song from Dookie on a different "obsolete" object.

Who remembers LAUNCHcast? This was similar to Spotify but back in the early 2000s. I spent a lot of time listening at my local library around that time and it's how I learnt so much about music. You couldn't just click on an artist, song or album and hear it - you had to rate each and hope that it played for you. But it turned out to be a really great, personalised radio station.
