A Little Update

Heyo! I thought I’d give a little update to let y’all know how I’m doing and that I’m still alive 😅 I’m still job hunting but I’ve gotten many great leads that have had me taking interviews and doing exams/exercises all over the place. Since this is such an important and stressful point in my life, I’ve devoted almost all my time to this. I don’t expect it to go on forever however and once it’s all settled I’ll be able to invest fully in my art. Rest assured that I’m still getting work done on owed art whenever I can so expect some new stuff from me soon! Thanks for all of your patients 🙏 I appreciate y’all so much, and I can’t wait to put this stress behind me and become far more active!

Razz Pride 2019 by JPlotting

So many people I’ve noticed have been doing their own pride art for pride month and although I’m rather new to all of this (including being out/open), I thought I’d at least do something artsy to celebrate. Although I don’t currently have a sona for myself (I am thinking one up though), one of my OCs, Razz, happens to be bisexual (as am I) so I thought using him instead should suffice. Also, he’s a fine character with an awesome color palette, and I really love drawing him!

Here is a happy golden noodle of a dragon. Kinda looks reminiscent of a giraffe, so I guess you could call them a “giragon” or something like that 😂 Now that is an interesting concept actually 🤔 I hope y’all like it!

Quick Status Update

Quick status update on what's going on with me and my wacky schedule. I'm currently graduating 👨‍🎓🎉 and in the process of job searching so most of my attention is on that. I am however sketching quite a bit and I plan to have some new art to show not too long from now. The good news is that I won't have to deal with coursework so I'll be able to spend whatever time I would on that on art instead. Expect some awesome stuff to come including more portraits! 😉 🖌️💯

Facing The Weather // Digital Painting

This piece is a full-body, full-render of a new random and pretty chaotic dragon character I was inspired to make. I will likely do more with her later but I thought this would make for a fitting start. For context, the weather where I live is very unpredictable and we are currently experiencing snow in places even though it is Spring 🥶😡 (with other places getting extreme heat ☹️). Of course me being pretty indifferent of snow, I don’t know what the heck to do with it 😆 and I don’t think she does either! Really, this character is just a happy/derpy goof (chaotic neutral/good perhaps) who doesn’t get to be around snow much or perhaps never experienced it before.

Razz (Reece) Redesign // Digital Painting

So I do love my mysterious character Reece that I did quite a while back and decided to revamp him with my current style! So here is a full-body, full-render free-fall-ish painting of him with his altered design. I kept many of the same characteristics (the same paint job for instance) but changed up some parts (like opting out the cyborg parts). Overall, his true personality should be much more visible which is a tired, chill, wary, pessimistic, kinda shy, care withholding, and music loving lizard thing! 🦎🎧🤘 Let me know what y’all think of the changes! I will say the cyborg bits are still debatable going forward (am thinking they could be concealed under the skin/scales I Robot style but idk).

Also, his original name used to be Razz and I’m kinda wanting to go back to it so I think I will for now.

Wowzers! I am taking forever to post anything new and I apologize for those of you watching out for more ^^; This guy here is a new dragon (not yet named or anything) I've been thinking up for a while. Love the whole grouchy/tired type characters so I've gone and done one! I also wanted to do something kinda in the dark (with the whole backlight thing) because all of my other ones thus far have been fairly bright. I REALLY love how it came out!! The neon glow is pretty sweet I personally think. Let me know what y'all think!
