Who doesn't love otters? I took this picture on a trip to the zoo. I love otters for so many reasons, but they have a significant place in my heart. Years ago I was going through a tough time in my life and I went to this port in my hometown to draw and look at the water. An otter popped his head out of the water and kept coming up and looking right at me, all while swimming around. It was so magical in a way I can't truly explain, but it felt like I connected to that otter. It felt like he sensed my broken heart and was connecting with me.
