Exploration and design from the Character Design Challenge for this month, Mongolian Eagle Hunters.  Had a LOT of fun trying out different costumes and working with silhouettes this month.  Now to pick and render a final one!

And here is my finished Nu Lady in her proper attire! Lots of things learned during this project, lots of mistakes made, but hey, practice makes perfect. :)

It’s been a really long time since I participated in the challenge, so I wanted to jump on the bandwagon once again as I love the challenge of these! This is the processwork (the non-on-paper part of it anyways). I always start with heads and silhouettes in whatever order, and work out the details from there. Hope you like it!

Fun little 3D project as a birthday present

Here’s Nu! While she is far from done, this is the fully animatable versinon of her. Spent ages on developing an autohair rigger to move individual strands as well as chunks of hair! The textures are also temporary, I’ve only spent time on the skin so far. The concept version is what her final form will be! :D Now on to cloth and lute modeling!

Sorry guys, it’s been ages since I posted here!! Been swamped with school work, portfolios and life in general so I have been completely MIA. I will start sharing my work with you here again :) 

These are 2 characters based on the same mesh that I modeled, textured and rigged for my first 3D production! I’m working with 7 other lovely people and it has been am amazing experience so far!

Snakey snake snake! My “prop” for my biped project at school. Really wanted to try out what I have learned with rigging so far to animate him.

My concept of a useless, lazy middle aged son of a successful triad boss. Tried making him as douchy and tactless as possible, (like wearing ugly ass pajamas all day long, which was a weird trend in a few smaller towns around China when I lived there) but keeping it a bit more realistic for this project. Look forward to a 3D model in a few weeks!!

Here’s a sneak peek at an 8 week environment project we are working on. The theme was blade runner rip off movie, and my location was a female detective apartment. Think my design came out a bit too retro, but this was a really fun piece to model. Still missing a few props but about 95% of modelling is done. :)
