As Caspian and Edmund are discussing starting a search party come morning, and Reepicheep is insisting that they press on, Lucy hears a very faint noise in the brush behind them. Just then something sharp and cool and likely metal has been set lightly against the back of her neck and a voice she knows almost as well as her own commands, “Don’t move.” Lucy cannot see who stands behind her, but she doesn’t need to. She knows, though she can hardly believe it; stands frozen in shock as the others wheel round, reaching for weapons before they stumble to dumbfounded halts. Caspian is open-mouthed. Lucy is grinning. Edmund says, wonderingly, “Susan?” (or, the one where lucy and edmund are not the only pevensies who voyage aboard the dawn treader.)
