I ran two mini campaigns under that system and loved it. Don't forget the followup book, "Discworld, Also."

I'm willing to take a look at the new game though. It will be interesting to see how they might adapt some of the "rules" of the Disc to gameplay.

Modiphius, the studio responsible for tabletop adaptations of Star Trek, Fallout, and more, is working on a Discworld TTRPG.

Having secured the rights to the beloved series with an agreement from the late author Sir Terry Pratchett's estate, Modiphius is already at work on a Discworld roleplaying game "around the city of Ankh-Morpork and the wider Disc." This will hit Kickstarter later in the year.

Nom nom lamb.... Though any cut of lamb being cheap may depend on living somewhere with a healthy wool industry. I'm lucky to find any and it's always a special treat.

...So that was lunch. Lamb shank (that best of cheap meat cuts, except maybe for shin) braised low & slow, using this recipe from Fifteen Spatulas, for a couple of hours in the oven and then finished in the "hay box" overnight. Merely prodding it gently causes the meat to fall off the bone.

On the side: rice, chunky potatoes & carrots that were cooked in with the lamb, with some hot/sweet pepper jelly and hot and sweet pickled oranges on the side.

And now back to work. ...But wow, I love these dishes that can just be thrown together and then left to themselves to get on with things.

At the 30 vote mark, I'm pleased to note that so far the hubby is the weird one and that at least 5 people will eat their next sandwich with awkward confusion, overanalyzing something they always did on autopilot.

Based on the hubby making fun of my sandwich eating style.

Nope. At episode 5 it will just stop mid story and nobody will ever know how it was going to finish.

This has always been the inevitable result of the strict abortion bans being enacted in these states. Even if the law gives lip service to the life and health of the mother, doctors will be afraid to act without prior authorization, and emergency or even urgent treatment will be withheld.

And while everyone already knew that those behind these laws don't give a damn about the women they hurt, I want all the sincere pro-life folk who believe in fetal or even embryonic personhood to watch the state level reactions to this very carefully. Because there are wanted pregnancies being lost here, babies dying if that is your belief, that could have possibly been saved if the healthcare workers weren't afraid they'd literally be arrested if they tried but failed. So let's see who cares and who doesn't, shall we?

Pretty sure this is an odd translation error based on the fact that it's not just a rat, but a "lab rat." Both it and "guinea pig" are sometimes used as terms for any experimental subject.

Very cute, but I don't understand the Axe spray meme within htp... where did it come from, how did it spread? That and the whole "fragile masculinity" thing have always confused me....
