I'm a year shy of turning 30. Here's a few things that I realized:

I get why older people like pants with elastic waistbands and have a LOT of stretch in them.

I hate groups of noisy kids now.

I prefer silent places where I can be left alone to myself.

Your friend groups will shrink and you will definitely lose a few friends. And that's okay.

I don't seek out drinking or clubbing anymore.

I ditched smoking and vaping completely because I realized it never really did anything good for me.

I like cooking and doing household chores now.

I don't post that much on social media.

I am falling back into my love for reading.

I am not financially stable as I hope I would be.

I need another source of income aside from my 9-5.

I am still getting the hang of processing my emotions, good and bad.

Family is everything.

Friends will come and go, and that's okay.

📍 Filipinas Heritage Library, Makati City, Philippines | Spent the afternoon reading in this small library and I managed to finish a book. Was five poems short of finishing Rizal's whole poetry catalog before the library closes, sadly. I just took pictures of the pages.

I wish there were more public libraries in this country.

grieving as an adult is so funny it's like. im sobbing my eyes out i'm laughing like a maniac im pondering the mortality of everything around me. ok glad thats out of my system because i have a dentist appointment in an hour

Sneaked in some alone time at my favorite café. Spent it reading "Tipping Point" while enjoying my katsu sandwich and iced coffee. 📖☕
