Today is the anniversary of that dreaded day: the day Keith Floyd shuffled off his mortal coil. Carried off in an instant by a vulgar little heart attack… Champagne, Côte du Rhône, a bucket of oysters and a partridge was all it took to coax our shining star through the silky firmament into the great beyond.

Rest in peace, dearest Keith 🕊

If Keith Floyd was there on that tragic day he would’ve shown Mohamed Atta his special recipe for Perigord Sweetbreads Cooked Floyd Style with Goat’s Cheese Salad and Mohamed would have immediately turned the plane around and landed safe and sound at an airstrip in Bergerac for a slurp of Montravel and dinner with Keith on the terrace
