As objectively funny as Ann's "Not by you, I trust" was, it's weird that Athena did nothing in response. Season 2 Athena would have never tolerated that kind of disrespect towards Bobby regarding his dead family.

Random Saturday morning thoughts:

This season, Buck, like every season before, has an arc about self-discovery. Multiple episodes dealing with his issues.

Eddie - multiple episodes dealing with the fallout of traumatizing his son with Shannon's doppelgänger.

Maddie - multiple episodes about the serial killer abduction.

Again, the Buckley/Diaz/Buckley trio gets multi episode arcs.

The rest of the cast? They're getting multi-scene arcs that last the span of an episode.

Bobby - We'll probably never hear about Ann and Charlie again.
How's his sobriety? Does he have another sponsor after Wendell? Is he a sponsor?

Athena - Do May and Harry still exist? How are her parents doing?
Is she going to take on a partner to mentor like was implied earlier this season?

Bathena - the house fire. This plot is being treated as an inconvenience rather than a life altering tragedy. A scene here and there and BOOM. The house is done.

Chimney? No idea what his istory is outside of Maddie.

Hen? I guess the kids are fine?

Yes, plane arc - dispensed with at the end of episode 3. Hotshots? More about Brad than Bobby. Mara's adoption? Finalized? Still on hold?

Who knows?

Due to her actions of following Elliot she has been threatened and her son as well. One night while investigating Kathy’s death they are discovered and he dies while Liv is transported to witness protection to recover. But the whole world thinks Olivia Benson is Dead , so where is Noah ? But with his Uncle Rafa . In the events of her passing she leaves her son to her best friend.

So like it could have his mom in it and discuss how him living in her house for Noah is harming his mental health .And have him be upset because he never told her . Then like on the day the trail happens and she comes back they go out for drinks have a nice moment. She goes to the bathroom and sees a person flirting with Barba and backs off, she rationalizes that caught upon the memories.

However when it comes to the home front getting reinstated not an issue coming home and Rafa / possibly dad or even papi leaving doesn’t go over well. We can even get a moment when an upset and unruly Noah says I wish you didn’t come back and yeah.

This is the plot bunny 🐰 in my head can someone please try and make this a coherent story.

“Through a rapist’s eyes. A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interview…ed on what they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting facts:

1] The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle. They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun! , braid, or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed. They are also likely to go after a woman with long hair. Women with short hair are not common targets.

2] The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for women who’s clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissors around to cut clothing.

3] They also look for women using their cell phone, searching through their purse or doing other activities while walking because they are off guard and can be easily overpowered.

4] The number one place women are abducted from / attacked at is grocery store parking lots.

5] Number two is office parking lots/garages.

6] Number three is public restrooms.

7] The thing about these men is that they are looking to grab a woman and quickly move her to a second location where they don’t have to worry about getting caught.

8] If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouraged because it only takes a minute or two for them to realize that going after you isn’t worth it because it will be time-consuming.

9] These men said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas,or other similar objects that can be used from a distance, in their hands.

10] Keys are not a deterrent because you have to get really close to the attacker to use them as a weapon. So, the idea is to convince these guys you’re not worth it.

POINTS THAT WE SHOULD REMEMBER:

1] If someone is following behind you on a street or in a garage or with you in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face and ask them a question, like what time is it, or make general small talk: can’t believe it is so cold out here, we’re in for a bad winter. Now that you’ve seen their faces and could identify them in a line- up, you lose appeal as a target.

2] If someone is coming toward you, hold out your hands in front of you and yell Stop or Stay back! Most of the rapists this man talked to said they’d leave a woman alone if she yelled or showed that she would not be afraid to fight back. Again, they are looking for an EASY target.

3] If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a huge advocate of it and carries it with him wherever he goes,) yelling I HAVE PEPPER SPRAY and holding it out will be a deterrent.

4] If someone grabs you, you can’t beat them with strength but you can do it by outsmarting them. If you are grabbed around the waist from behind, pinch the attacker either under the arm between the elbow and armpit or in the upper inner thigh – HARD. One woman in a class this guy taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out muscle strands the guy needed stitches. Try pinching yourself in those places as hard as you can stand it; it really hurts.

5] After the initial hit, always go for the groin. I know from a particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy’s parts it is extremely painful. You might think that you’ll anger the guy and make him want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our instructor is that they want a woman who will not cause him a lot of trouble. Start causing trouble, and he’s out of there.

6] When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his first two fingers and bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure pushing down on them as possible. The instructor did it to me without using much pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.

7] Of course the things we always hear still apply. Always be aware of your surroundings, take someone with you if you can and if you see any odd behavior, don’t dismiss it, go with your instincts. You may feel little silly at the time, but you’d feel much worse if the guy really was trouble.

FINALLY, PLEASE REMEMBER THESE AS WELL ….

1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do: The elbow is the strongest point on your body. If you are close enough to use it, do it.

2. Learned this from a tourist guide to New Orleans : if a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from you…. chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you and he will go for the wallet/purse. RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!

3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car: Kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy. The driver won’t see you but everybody else will. This has saved lives.

4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping,eating, working, etc., and just sit (doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc. DON’T DO THIS! The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side,put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go. AS SOON AS YOU CLOSE the DOORS , LEAVE.

5. A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot, or parking garage:

a. Be aware: look around your car as someone may be hiding at the passenger side , peek into your car, inside the passenger side floor, and in the back seat. ( DO THIS TOO BEFORE RIDING A TAXI CAB) .

b. If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.

c. Look at the car parked on the driver’s side of your vehicle, and the passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)

6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. (Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot).

7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; And even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN!

8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP IT! It may get you raped, or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking, well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked “for help” into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim.

Send this to any woman you know that may need to be reminded that the world we live in has a lot of crazies in it and it’s better safe than sorry.

I have been in a 9-1-1 fic phase and Bathena is obviously not the powerhouse that Buddie is but there are like 5 Authors that only do Bathena and one has over 25 and the other has 50 . They are literally feeding me and deserve the very best in life .

when you finish a fic that was everything you could of hoped for and you click on their user to see that they’ve written dozens of fics for that pairing

Rewatching 9-1-1 season 1 for the first time in a while .( It is the only season without Bathena and I prefer either Maddie or May as the operator)

And woooooow Micheal was actually wild for being mad that his ex-wife didn’t want the kids to meet his affair partner. Like I get it he is gay and coming out but like Athena says later in the show “ if he had cheated on her with a women everyone wouldn’t expect her to be as gracious “. I am actually upset about like I can’t imagine my ex asking for OUR children to meet the person you cheated on me with and left me for , especially when they haven’t been divorced for 6 months.

NGL I miss Micheal for the blended family moments and the hijinks with Bobby but he did not need more screen time than any other kids or spouses of the show I.E Karen .

Last thing I am thankful everyday that they chose heartbroken Buck over Bobby and Abby . And they in turn made way for one of my top 3 Cannon couples.

Hearing a car pull into the drive, Bobby got up out of his seat to go and greet his wife, smiling to himself wondering what she’d be like tonight. It was the annual girls night with the ladies of the 118. Hen, Karen and Maddie along with Athena go out for drinks and a chat without any guys sniffing around every few weeks. Tonight it was a bar that Karen suggested, a new one her co-workers had told her about. Something about 2 for 1 margaritas and a free shot with every meal. It sounded interesting and so decided to try it out, not knowing just how much they’d like it.

“Ah there he is, the sexy sexy fire captain!”

Chimney greeted his boss as he stepped out of the car, his face full of amusement when he got over to Bobby.

“What?” Bobby chuckled, raising an eyebrow.

“Your wife has been telling us all about you, Cap. All of you.”

“Oh god.” Bobby felt his face go hot. “Like what?”

Just as Chim was going to reply, Athena had managed to open the car door, almost falling out of it once she got it open. Bobby rushing to her side, making sure his wife didn’t crash to the ground.

“Bobby!” Athena’s face lit up when she realised it was her husband who had his arms around her waist, “You’re here!”

“I’m here, baby.” He made sure she was steady before he let go, although he didn’t go far. “You have fun?”

“Not as much fun as I’m about to.” The tone of her voice normally would’ve made Bobby keel over, completely at her mercy, however, fully aware his friend was watching and the fact she’s probably told him a lot more than he wanted to know, Bobby tried his best to keep it cool - even if Athena’s fingers trailed down his chest. “I want you to take me inside, Captain.”

A laugh escaped Chimneys mouth, knowing that he was going to make work as insufferable as he could on Monday.

“I wouldn’t keep her waiting Bobby, she told us all about what happens if you don’t take orders. ” With a wink, Chim got back in the car, still laughing but being mindful not to wake Maddie who had passed out after they dropped the Wilson’s off.

Shaking his head, he guided Athena into the house, trying to ignore her hand that was travelling dangerously low.

“Come on, Bobby. Take em’ off.”

“Can I get inside first?” He laughed at his wife, knowing how handsy she got when she had alcohol in her system. “I don’t think the neighbours would appreciate it.”

Once they got inside and closed the front door, Athena was on her husband in an instant. Her fingers prodding his shirt buttons, struggling to undo them in her drunk state before giving up and deciding to work on his belt buckle. Knowing Athena wouldn’t give up, Bobby decided to take over. He grabbed her hand and led her to their bedroom, thanking himself for already prepping her water and aspirin earlier on.

“Let me take your makeup off, baby.” Bobby gently pulled her into the bathroom, lifting her up onto the counter, where she started to try and get Bobbys buttons undone again.

“Look up.”

Ever so gently, he brought the makeup wipe to her face, making sure to get under eyes and all around her chiseled cheeks. Once satisfied, he got her moisturiser and began rubbing it in, ignoring her refusals.

“Can you take me to bed now?”

“Come on.”

Helping her off the counter, she led him out of the bathroom and into the bedroom. Pushing him on the bed when they reached it.

“I’ve missed you, Captain.” Athena whispered, pulling off her dress and looking down at her husband. “Did you miss me?”

No reply came from Bobby as he grabbed her, yanking her down on top of him, kissing her like it would be the last time he’d get to.

After a few minutes, their movements started to slow and the need for air became too strong, both of them smiling at one another. They spent the rest of the night showing each other how much they missed one another, Bobby forgetting about Chimneys teasing the second they were alone.

“Wait, do you really think they use their titles in bed?!” Buck looked like he was going to throw up, not appreciating the conversation he was having with his colleagues this morning.

“She called him ‘Captain’ at the door, in a way I’ve never heard her say before.” Chimney confirms, pouring himself a cup of coffee. “They 100% do.”

“I just cant imagine Bobby using ‘Sergeant’ in a sexy way.” Eddie adds, “He seems too serious, Athena does too.”

“I can’t imagine Bobby being sexy at all.” Hen laughs, “He’s an attractive man, even I know that. But sexy?”

“Do we have to talk about whether Bobby is sexy or not? It’s making me feel sick guys.”

“You’re lucky I haven’t told you what else Athena said, Buck. I don’t think you’d be able to look at Bobby ever again.” Chimney tells him, shaking his head at the memory.

“I know more than enough, thank you.” Buck holds his arms up, moving to step away when he bumps directly into Bobby.

“Morning Buck, everything okay?”

Looking like a deer in headlights, Buck just nods.

“Okay, if you’re sure.” Moving to the table, he greets the others, unpacking the grocery bags he’d brought with him.

“What you guys talking about?”

“Oh, nothing. Just work related stuff.” Eddie replies, a little too quickly.

“Yeah, work.” Hen agrees.

“Nothing sexy that’s for sure!” Chimney spurts out, wincing when he feels 4 pairs of eyes on him. “Oh come on, you didn’t expect me to NOT tell them?!”
