Truly acknowledge the circumstances and understand that we live in a system that is excluding people based on their color of their skin. If we truly want to live in a free world - we must create it by actively changing it. It’s not enough to speak about it! 👉 INCLUSION, SUPPORT & ACTIONS are required to create change. Look around you. The reason why I believe that everyone should be traveling around the world is that it is the antidote to #racism, #xhenophobia, #antisemitism, and #intolerance. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Getting to know each other, learning from one another, and understanding different cultures is what brings us closer. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I am not expressing my political opinion and world views very often on Instagram, but sometimes it is necessary. Just to push the comfort zone a bit and remember that there is still so much work that we need to do. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Work that we can do daily by reflecting on our believes, thoughts, and words. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If there is one thing that we have learned throughout the last months, is that we are all interconnected and that we can survive and go through a pandemic with grace. It is utterly disappointing to see how governments blame others, try to nationalize a cure, create a capitalistic race, and feed into that dark fire of discrimination and racism. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is not what I stand for, it is not what I believe in, and it is not what I support. On the contrary, it is a reminder that there is so much work that I need to do. And I can't wait to start to travel again and meet new people in foreign countries. Listen to their stories and learn from them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Please, don't get discouraged, and don't let fear conquer your decisions. THIS SITUATION HAS BEEN QUITE AN EXPERIENCE: STAYING AT HOME AND AWAY FROM EVERYONE. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We just realized that tomorrow starts the 12th week of isolation—what a crazy time. But I have been quietly enjoying it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Yes, it was sad to have to cancel all of our travel plans. As you know, that is one of the things that makes me feel alive. Discovering new cultures and observing the way people live in different countries brings me joy and makes my heart beat a little bit fast. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Being at home has other perks. Manuel and I haven’t had a fight or argument. We haven’t been able to spend that much time together since we move to the US (dang, this country lives a fast pace life). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And of course, I was first worried about money and the economic future. But there is nothing that we can do about it right this moment. And if there is one thing that I learned in 2015 when we encountered a significant financial burden is that money will come back. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Generally speaking, I don’t have any bad memories of that time. I remember great friendship and support. I remember having all these creative energy and excitement going through that adventure. I know it’s easier said than done. It hit me like a strike of lightning. Literally!!! Finally, I understood that I have to invest into myself and start trusting experts to help me get to the next level. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I know it is not always the easiest decision to pay for a consultant, mentor, coach or teacher. But boy, it does make a difference. Especially, if you are inpatient and want to be able to be more effective. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Don’t get me wrong everything takes it’s time and we can’t force certain things to happen. But if you have a deep seated feeling and knowledge that there is more out there for you, but you don’t know how to tap into it. Or you don’t know how to contribute with your skills. - Getting an expert that has experience can be valuable and a catalyst. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I have invested over the years in many things. And it hasn’t come always easy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This year has been filled with so many unbelievable and impactful lessons. It really started at the @altsummit conference. It was my first conference and it was as mind blowing to be surrounded by so many amazing women that were all creating and impacting their communities in a positive way. It continued with the @thehuddle_retreat. Getting the possibility to have several coaches focus on your business and help you to make it better was powerful. It also sparked the need in me to find more support and help. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In the past months I have reached out to several mentors, signed up with two networks and created accountability groups. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Today has been the pinnacle. I started working with Katrina Cobb and she has catapulted me into the next level. She created a clear message for me. A message that will hopefully resonate with you as much as it does with me. This process started long time ago and today I have finally arrived at a point where I am satisfied. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The biggest lesson from all of this is: Invest in yourself. Get support. Ask when you need help. Mondays have been always very special to me. They mark a fresh start and give you the opportunity to achieve new goals.
