Omg yes totally! I am obsessed with this idea because she hates being just another rich girl and anything associated with her family. But I love the idea of her still very obviously having grown up in that

Not really close to being done.. having a bit of writer's block and now my head is filled with the werewolf au hnng. But here's a snippet:

We are hunters, voices strong

Slaying demons with our song

Fix the world and make it right

When darkness finally meets the light.

The soft click of heels on stone was the only sound besides the roar of distant flames that followed the final verse of the hunters’ mantra.

Just as the footsteps stopped before the staircase leading to the stage, a voice broke through the silence.

Oh?

Rumi’s eyes slowly swept over the crowd in front of her. 

Hundreds, if not thousands of people stood huddled together. Eyes glazed and vacant, as if unaware of the world around them. And amidst the sea of bodies, two familiar shapes stood out that she immediately recognized. 

Mira and Zoey. 

She saw the way their shoulders tensed, the way their bodies jolted, as if they were just now waking up from a dream they were forced into.

A dark storm of emotions rattled through Rumi’s chest. Only moments ago her whole world had crumbled around her in a matter of minutes and her deepest fears were laid bare for everyone to see. She had betrayed her friends. Had been betrayed of what could have been one. And with nothing left to lose, with emptiness clinging to every step, she had walked away as the Honmoon tore beneath her feet. Towards the only person that she knew would set her free from this miserable existence.

Was it selfish to ask Celine for such a thing? No, of course not. Celine knew exactly what she really was; of the danger her bloodline posed. 

It was the duty of a huntress to protect the Honmoon… even that meant protecting it from herself. And with every new hole and tear that formed in the shimmering veil - because of her - Rumi had seen no other way out.

But then her mentor had thrown aside the offered sword while frantically telling her that they could still fix it. That they could tell Zoey and Mira it was all just a trick from Gwi-ma to confuse them.

Telling Rumi to keep lying to them.

Which made something snap inside of her. 

No. 

I will not continue to lie to the only people who have ever shown me love before. 

And if the Honmoon they knew couldn’t hold the truth, then she’d have to build a new one. One that is not built on lies and false promises. One strong enough to protect them instead.

Even if it meant waiting a little longer for the sweet embrace of death.
