Me: Okay Company PC I just found out our printer is misbehaving, I fixed the ink not squirting issue, but apparently I can only print in letter size?
Windows 10: Oh, I found a brand new driver that works better for this printer.
Me: Because of this we have support tickets thinking that the printer has gone defective. They are pending sending a replacement.
Windows 10: Well, the previous driver wasn't secure.
Me: It fucking worked. *Tries to install the proper driver*
Windows 10: Hmmm this driver seems out of date, at a later time I might need to update it for your security...
Me: *Fetches a newer version of the driver.* How about this?
Windows 10: This will work until my discontinue date. Which reminds me, this PC is not Windows 11 compatible, you will news to upgrade your hardware.
Me: You are a virus, windows...

If I had the money and the sway I would be patenting basic game mechanics left and right to protect them from being maliciously patented by Nintendo.

There should be a mod for Dissidia Duodecim that should rework the victory animation system. More specifically after Feral Chaos finishes off an opponent with his EX Burst.
No "Finishing blow" text. No status display.
No lingering slow mo. Maybe at most the defeated character's defeat line.
Just the screen goes blank and after a few seconds the messages come up on the top of the screen for battlegen, AP, etc. Then we get the options for rematch or whatever.
No victory theme, no turn around roar, just black...

A friendly reminder.
4Chan succeeded in operation O-KKK
That's why it's not ok to use the ok gesture... because a bunch of anonymous trolls played the idiots like fiddles.

Me: Okay company PC, I need to print this.
Windows 10: I'm just going to check for a new driver for your printer before I send the job to the spooler, oops the printer seems to have vanished.
Me: Then let's disable fetching drivers from Windows Update so I can use this printer.
Windows 10: Okay, doing the print job.
-Two days Later-
Me: I need this sign printed for a sale.
Windows 10: I'm going to check for a new driver for this printer real quick.
Me: I told you not to.
Windows 10: Well, we have hit an impasse, there is a new driver for this printer, and because it might be more "Secure" (A Microsoft brand) I won't print to this device until you let me download this update.
Me: God damn it... Fine!

Apparently this Suggest Content Label option is misleading on the label. Apologies @catasters, you might get a notice for me thinking "Maybe this can let me add a tag that says not actuallty mature content."

-Angry old coot voice-
Back in my day, we didn't need to wake up three mile island to play Quake II on some cloud service!
We just ran it on our home computers for a measly 400 Watts, what with the cathode ray tube screen and the opengl our fancy video accelerator cards could do with that whoppin' 16 megabytes!

Eeeeeyeah... I'd rather have just the classics back, not the crap that got mixed in this year. Feliz navidad has an overly sensationalized mix by (I think) pentatonix, where the singer completely departs from the music itself... ugh... and one singer sounds like she's annoyed she had to sing a Christmas song. Can't wait for Thursday, I think I reverse engineered the update for our bookstore's music system... The only channels that will be left on it is instrumental jazz and atmospheres (which I will rename to it's proper name: Best Hits of The Weather Channel).

I have a phone that has no SIM card, I use it like a PDA, so it's always in airplane mode. Technically it's on, the sound is technically on, it just only makes noise for the alarm...
please reblog I'm curious

Trying to start back up processes is proving difficult, getting my faith in people completely torn apart has not been a good thing. Nothing I can do, but just keep going forward. Get up, work, sleep. Same old, same old...

Haven't messed with a Steam Deck directly, but they do make sure to certify if a game will run on it. I've been using a GPD Win3, which is like a little step back GPU-wise from the Steam Deck, and it handles most of what I throw at it, you might take a gander at the Win4 and keep a Fedora Linux installer handy, it's starting to get around that games running on Linux under Proton are running better than the Live Service mess Windows has become.
I am considering an extremely unwise financial decision. Has anyone on this website messed with either a Steam Deck or an Asus ROG Ally? I'm kind of considering buying one or the other.

I think the unofficial mascot of the Costco gas station we use is the moth that crawled into the perfect spot of the gallon/price display three years ago at least. It's untouched presence is still just on the outer edge of the display, and visible from the right angle.
