So Kamilla and Cisco start dating and she starts to notice. That he notices Harry. And she surprises herself by not really feeling jealous. She gets the appeal even thought Harry is very much not her type. But once she gets to know him a bit, get past the gruff exterior to establish a decent friendship, Kamilla finds she really does enjoy Harry's company.
And, well... she also realizes that Harry is head over heels in love with Cisco, trying very hard not to be a jealous ass to her about it, and massively repressing his feelings due to a.) self-loathing and b.) not wanting to wreck Cisco's relationship with Kamilla. Because he does actually approve of her which is nice to realize.
Sure, that's where things could have stayed at that point, but... Kamilla doesn't actually mind the idea of sharing Cisco with Harry. She's about to start sounding out how Cisco feels about polyamory in general when E2 is destroyed with Harry on it and, well... she winds up comforting her grieving boyfriend instead.
Time passes and the multi-verse re-establishes itself and Harry returns to an E-Prime from what is no longer E2, but he remembers. He remembers them all, but Cisco... oh Cisco he remembers the most. And Cisco is stuck, staring in shock because... he never thought he'd see Harry alive outside of his dreams. (Some of which were kissing dreams and he's talked that revelation out with a very amused Kamilla.)
And the two of them are staring at each other and Kamilla just walks up to Harry and shoves him towards Cisco and says "kiss him already, we're basically metamours at this point anyway."
Which is how the three of them wind up at the Kamisco apartment later that evening discussing things like sleeping arrangements and the time-sharing of Cisco snuggles while Cisco watches in bemusement.
"Do I get a say in this?"
"When you aren't still in shock, dear," Kamilla told him, patting his shoulder gently.
"Oh. Okay."
"Let's take another look at that bunkbed setup with the queen on the bottom," Harry said, reaching for the tablet on the coffee table. "I bet we could make something better with a king sized base."
"So we can both cuddle Cisco but one of us can move to the upper bed if it gets too warm or sensory-overloading," Kamilla agreed.
"Exactly." Harry's fingers on his right hand twitched.
"Let me grab you a sketch pad," she muttered, standing up and kissing Cisco on the forehead before going to find the grid paper.

You know, I talk about the Thallen and Westhallen feels that Barry's dream spot gives us (Eddie giving Barry heart eyes, like gee Barry why do you want Eddie to adore you so badly huh?) but like...
I'm staring at a gifset of Ronnie fronting for Firestorm arriving in time to save Barry. And. There is some adoration on Barry's face going on there too.
Like, really, Barry, you are more bi than you realize. Anyway, getting some Barry/Ronnie/Caitlin feels again but no specific plot thoughts. Just... eventually I will contribute more to that ship again. Something.
But really, Ronnie and Martin as Firestorm saved Barry from the Reverse Flash once, so like of course Ronnie represents Firestorm and safety to him here.

I recently rewatched the first X-Men movie and there's just something about the Cyclops warning Wolverine off Jean scene that always sticks with me.
It's how Cyclops undermines his own little speech at the end.
He's all, if I needed to warn you off then she wouldn't be my girl. Which on it's own would have been fine. Good even. But then at the end he circles back around and tells Logan to stay away from his girl.
Like, Scott, my dude. You have just implied that she's not really your girl because if she were, you wouldn't need to warn Logan off. You started off so well, practically saying that the two of you have a trust that transcends jealousy and you don't feel the need to worry about her leaving you because of a hot, buff older man. And then immediately warned off the hot, buff older man in a way that implies you are, in fact, worried she'd leave you for him.
Scott should be embarrassed over that entire conversation. He should have a moment in the middle of the night, staring into the fridge for a midnight snack, when it hits him so hard how badly he failed that conversation that he falls over.
(Anyway, the obvious problem is that Scott.exe struggles to work correctly around Logan because Logan is a hot, buff older man and Scott is just as attracted to him as Jean is. The solution is that they should all three date, of course.)

Post Flashpoint, the only real noticeable change to the Barry's life that he's noticed thus far is apparently Hartley joined the team full time instead of doing the occasional contract job. Which Barry is pleased about at first, Hartley seems to have mellowed a lot and he's happier and while his relationship with his parents is mending but still rocky, Hartley absolutely lights up when talking about his younger sister who is currently a high school senior.
But Barry quickly learns the downsides to having Hartley around when The Rival has his Flashpoint powers restored and the team has to figure out how to lure the newly re-minted evil-lite speedster into getting arrested.
Hartley - Well, I mean, we just use Barry as bait obviously. I mean, of the four speedsters we've known before this dude there's Barry, there's the two evil speedsters who had a psycho-sexual obsession with Barry --
Barry - *chokes* I'm sorry what now???
Hartley - *ignoring Barry's interjection* -- and Eliza who was doing the equivalent of huffing markers to get speed so I'm not sure she should be counted. How's she doing anyway, Caitlin?
Caitlin - Deeply regrets her life choices but she says prison isn't as bad as she thought it'd be. She'll be out on good behavior next year, probably. *clearly trying not to laugh at Barry's outrage*
Hartley - Anyway. This new guy is evil. So. Given our past experiences, is it really that much of a leap in logic to assume he has, or will develop, a psycho-sexual obsession with Barry too?
Cisco - *has absolutely lost it laughing*
Barry - Please, please stop saying 'psycho-sexual' in regards to Eobard, I am begging you.
Hartley - Dude was obsessed with you like Dukat for Kira. Or Ben Sisko. But, like, they're both cooler than you. Huh, so if Eobard is Dukat and Zolomon is the security officer who defected, then who is The Rival's equivalent? Assuming he too develops a psycho-sexual obsession with Barry.
Barry - *twitches violently*
Cisco - *recovered enough from his laughing fit to say* That vulcan who got into baseball solely to rub Captain Sisko's nose in vulcan superiority and threw a fit when the Niners weren't upset over losing.
Barry - *muttering* I liked it better when Hartley worked from home.
Hartley - *smirking*

Thinking about BtVS and how Willow never actually had the romantic crush on Xander she thought she did.
We live in an heteronormative and amatonormative society that shoves in our faces childhood friend romances and how of course men and women can't be 'just friends'.
Xander was her first friend, long before Buffy and likely well before Jesse too. Even setting aside her figuring out she's a lesbian later on, Willow is inundated with messages from media and gossiping peers and maybe even her neglectful parent's assumptions. Childhood friends to lovers is an expectation. Men and women who are friends wind up romantically/sexually involved is an expectation.
And she does love Xander. He does love her. He's safe, someone who likes her as she is and who doesn't make her feel pressured to do things she doesn't want to. He's someone who already respects her. They've been together their whole lives thus far, so of course she wants them to be together for the rest of their lives. And the social blueprint for that is romance, right? Life partners are romantic, every movie with even a token romance in it confirms. Romantic, not platonic.
Of course she's going to confuse her platonic love as romantic love.
#buffy the vampire slayer#fandom meta#btvs meta#willow rosenberg#amatonormativity#and to be fair xander also mistakes his platonic love for willow for something it isn't#platonic love saving willow from herself in s6 is very important to me especially in light of the shows amatonormativity in other areas

Hi! I saw your post about your anti-ai AO3 site style post and seem to be a little stuck following your method. I am admittedly pretty inexperienced with css. Is there any way I could see how your style is set up? If not I understand, thank you for the idea regardless!
First, let me recommend How to Block Tags With Site Skins (And Get Real Specific About It) by najio over on Ao3. This is a reference guide to how to use CSS for blocking (and other things) in Ao3 site skins and it is suuuuuper useful. I usually reference this before I dive back into modifying my own site skins since even though I know CSS relatively well, I don't use it a whole lot anymore and the way I handle site skins to block users/specific works/any works with tag x/etc is gonna be different from the best practices for what I do at work anyway.
Alright, now on to what will hopefully be a better tutorial for you. Gonna make this more detailed than the hastier stuff I've done previously. (The rest is below the cut.)
If you aren't familiar with where to access/create custom skins, let's direct you there first. After logging in and going to your dashboard page, the top of the left nav should look something like this. You'll want to click the Skins option, which will take you to the "My Site Skins" page.
Now I've got a few custom site skins. One that I am currently using I've named "KitKatt0430's Custom Site Skin" and it is not publicly available. (None of my skins are, but it is possible to make them publicly available to share with others.) This skin has three 'parent skins' - the publicly available reversi skin and then two more custom skins I've created: "Kitkatt0430's Block List" and "Kitkatt0430's Anti-AI Skin".
My custom site skin builds on top of Reversi mostly, adjusting some of the font settings to be more friendly to my mild dyslexia along with doing things like making tag areas over a certain height use scrolling, adjusting the scrollbar width, and other minor things that make the site more accessible for me on both computers and mobile devices. But it's also the hub skin to which I attach any other custom skins as 'parents' so that all the css rules for the parent skins will be applied in addition to the custom rules in the active site skin.
i definitely recommend setting up a sort of 'hub' like this and not just dropping all your Ao3 modifications in one 'skin'. Having everything in one skin can make finding rules for modification harder later on if it's all in one place. I've also heard that if the 'skin' files get too big some of the css rules defined in them stop working. (Have not experienced this myself though.) So it's a good idea to create skins that are focused on doing a specific thing and then linking them to your 'hub' or applied skin as a parent.
To create that 'hub' skin, you need to click the Create Site Skin button in the top right side of the My Site Skins page.
This will take you to the Create New Skin form which can be used to create both site skins and work skins. Since we're making a new site skin you can leave most of the options alone for now. You'll want to add a title, something that will identify the main purpose of this site skin to you most easily. The downside to naming these things is even if they're not made publicly available, they still need site-unique names. Which is why I tend to start my skin titles with my username.
Don't worry about adding CSS right now, you can edit the skin later. For now lets head to the Advanced section. Click to open it and then scroll to the section with the Parent Skins header.
This Parent Skins section should have a button on the right of it labeled "Add Parent Skin". You'll want to click that. It'll add some new inputs to the section you can use to assign a parent to the skin. If there's a publicly available skin you like using all the time like Reversi, go ahead and add it here.
in the empty input you can type in the name of your usual skin - like Reversi - and it should give you options to choose from as you type, similar to when you add tags to a fic and it gives you pre-existing tag options to choose from.
With the first parent skin added, hit submit. If it doesn't have a unique title you might have to rename it in order to get the submit button to work but it should alert you to any errors in the form after you hit submit that first time.
Alrighty, so now you've got your 'hub' skin. If you have any changes to your usual skin you've been dying to make, like bigger font sizes or the like, I'd recommend you stick them in this skin. To do so, click the edit button on the site skin on the My Site Skins page list of skins.
This takes you to essentially the same form from before but with the settings you've already chosen for the skin pre-filled. Once you've made any changes, there should be an Update button down where the Submit button was previously.
Now my custom site skin is already in use, so I have the 'Stop Using' button visible on it in the main My Site Skins page. But odds are you see the 'Use' button instead. Click the 'Use' button to start using the skin. Now any time you update that skin, you can refresh Ao3 to see the changes immediately. Such as adding a new parent skin. Or if you make updates to a parent skin that's also a custom skin, those will be reflected immediately too when the parent skin gets saved.
Okay, so now to make your second custom skin. This time when making the skin, just add a title - such as <your user name>'s AI Blocklist - but don't add any parent skins. Save the skin and head back to edit your 'hub' skin that you're using. Scroll back down to Parent Skins and choose to add another parent skin. This time give it the name of your AI blocklist skin and then update the skin.
Time to head back to the My Site Skins page and choose to edit the AI blocklist skin.
In the css section, it's time to start writing that blocklist. There are two ways to write your block list - with exact matches or partial matches. As an example of an exact match, here's a section of css from my general block list skin.
Okay, so what does all of this mean aside from me not liking certain Batman fandom ships? Let's look at the rule itself first. The css rule here is "display: none !important;" This is going to hide the entire html element it gets applied to from view.
Now what html element(s) is this rule being applied to? In this case, we've got multiple identifiers going on. Each identifier is separated by both a comma at the end and (for readability) putting the next identifier on the next line. The identifier here looks like ".blurb:has(a[href$="<tag_link>"])," where the <tag_link> has to be an exact match to whatever it is you don't want to see. The identifier knows it needs to be an exact match due to the "$=" syntax used for matching the tag_link to the href. Since this has to be an exact match, you'll want to go find something tagged with the thing you don't want to see and right click the tag. Choose the 'Inspect' option and in the html for that tag, you'll see the href for the anchor (<a>). Copy that value into your identifier.
All together this identifier will now look for html elements with the blurb class (<div class="blurb">) that have nested inside an anchor element with an href that exactly matches your non-desired tag_link. If it finds an html element that matches this identifier, it will apply the rule. This will hide the entire element with the blurb class if it has that exact tag on it.
Now exact matches are useful more for things like ship tags and other widely used canonical tags. For wiping out a bunch of fics tagged as written by Gen AI, exact matching is going to get very tedious very quickly.
This is where partial matching comes in. The syntax for partial matching is very similar to the syntax for exact matching. It looks like ".blurb:has(a[href*="<partial_link>"]),"
Notice the identifier for partial matching uses "*=" instead of "$=". And since the match isn't for a full url, it leaves off the "/tags/" and "/works". The nice thing about partial matching is that the identifier that looks for the tag "written by an AI" will match also match "this was written by an AI".
Something to keep in mind for AI tagging is you can have situations where a tag like "Character X is an AI" on one fic means that the person who posted the fic was roleplaying with an AI chatbot as that character, while another fic could potentially use this same tag to note that it's a scifi AU with a character who is an artificial intelligence in the setting but not written by an AI. And partial matches are more likely to accidentally wipe out tags that mention AI but aren't actually indicating AI use in the writing of the fic.
The best place to look for AI tags is here -> https://archiveofourown.org/tags/Created%20Using%20Generative%20AI/works
I'd recommend adding a couple of identifiers to your rule, saving the skin, and then refreshing the Created Using Generative AI tag to see how many entries are wiped out from the page.
A few additional notes:
Make sure spaces are represented as "%20" in your identifiers
Both exact and partial matches are case sensitive, meaning that an identifier looking for "Generative%20AI" with the upper case G isn't going to match a tag with the text "generative AI" with the lowercase g
When you hide a blurb, this happens after the page load completes. So you'll know that you've successfully hidden a fic with an AI tag when fewer than the expected results show up on the page. Instead of 20 fics, you'll see 18. Or in the case of checking just the Gen AI tag page you'll see 0 results despite being on the first page out of 5,700 (or whatever) results.
Keep an eye on repeat offenders who 'write' lots of AI Gen fics - it may make more sense to mute/block these people instead of trying to match the tag variations they use.

#Barry is running on the cosmic treadmill when Cisco shows up#Barry.exe stops working and is immediately launched into the wall at Mach Fuck like that one scene where he was showing off to Felicity#Cisco is half-convinced Barry concussed himself because Barry is just staring at his arms and tummy tags from @the-devil-in-the-details-666
*giggles* oh I love this :D
Caitlin would never let either of them live that down.
Barry and Cisco start dating during S1 and so since S1 starts in, like, September, that means when summer arrives this is Barry's first time seeing Cisco's summer attire.
Which includes crop tops.
First time Barry sees his boyfriend wearing a crop top (probably sleeveless) on a 90 degree day, Barry.exe stops working.
Cisco - See something you like? ;)

Katy's cover blown, she reveals she's a cop
Mr. Villain - *pulling a gun* What a pity, I'm not.
Katy - Ah well, look at the time, gotta go now.
hehehe
Mr. Villain uses a chess board to enter his evil lair - makes me feel like Eobard as my main villain is a good choice. And Chip has to figure out the correct 'game play' to unlock the door. Which is something that'd work well for Hartley in the fic too :D
Bonus' first experience with guns. He proceeds to bend them all out of shape. And then apologize as he wins a fight with security.
Evil Alfred - How about I lay down and pretend you knocked me out?
Bonus - Okay.
Chip - I have found the wiring for the evil lair controls, hahahaha, take this evil lady torturing my father!
And there's the evil android soldier plans, foreshadowing hello.
Chip dramatically jumping into the bright white torture room to save his dad. Hugs!!!!
oh, look, someone turned on the evil android soldier. And he's feeling fight-y. Also looks very robot-ish compared to the human looking Chip and Bonus.
Despite not being designed to fight, Chip is able to think creatively which is, of course, how he's able to win the fight. But he also gives away to Mr. Villain that he is the elusive completed android that Jonas made.
Not that anyone will believe him. After all. Chip is so human, right?
Though Chip does get to toss the villain into a small private lake first. Hehehe
Jonas meets Bonus, split screen fun ^_^
Bonus - Nice hair.
(HR calling Harry handsome anyone?)
The cops arrive and Bonus 'disappears' at Chip's insistence.
Mr. Villain - This 'thing' is a robot. *gesturing to Chip*
Everyone else - Hah, that's one for the books.
Happy endings all around. Jonas decides that 'his moment in history' is less important than having Chip as his son. Kyle and Katy are holding hands and giving dating a shot. And Aunt Mildred arrives to steal away Bonus, her handsome man.
Kyle - *steals Jonas' watch on instinct*
Katy - >_<
time to brave the airport again. lol At least Chip knows how to trick the metal detectors this time.
Anyway, this was one of my favorite movies as a kid and I do feel like it holds up. I'm having a lot of fun using it as the basis for the Flash fic I'm currently writing, and maybe this'll inspire more people to go watch it. It deserves all the love.

Chip reprogramming 'Jonas' is pretty funny too. He does a Donald Duck voice at one point.
Chip - It's hard to tell with such primitive equipment.
*snicker*
Bonus has been named. ^_^ hehehe
Kyle - Oooh we could make so much money with this.
Chip - But I need to find my dad with this robot first.
Kyle - Yeah... okay. *sigh*
lol the data they needed was, of course, erased during the reprogramming stage. But Bonus has a radio link to the villains, which Chip has him shut off.
Bonus - I can point you in the right direction.
Cut to them walking down the road while Bonus is pointing ahead of them in the direction they're going. They turn him around at point and he points over his shoulder. *giggles* There is a reason I cast HR as Bonus in my fusion fic.
They manage to hitch a ride, but Bonus is a little too honest so they get stranded by the side of the road. Hitching a ride take two goes a lot better. They have arrived at the creepy mansion. Where they proceed to be extremely suspicious but somehow the guard buys it.
Chip - I absolutely learned how to short out security cameras in the boyscouts. *was never a boyscout a day in his life*
They are so bad at infiltrating and they're run off. But Chip does confirm his dad is there.
Guard dogs! Awww, angry puppers. Kyle understandably is afraid of the dogs. And I love how Chip fucks up the gate so security can't open the gate. the smug little "Open that" is so cute.
Bonus - *flirting with a jukebox*
hehehe :D
Bonus clocks Chip as a fellow android and they have a really sweet conversation where Chip is finally able to talk to someone like him about how he feels. But Bonus is just like 'all I have are cliches, sorry'
Officer Morgan returns!!! Yay, she'll be there in twenty minutes.
Kyle - *ah shit expression*
Katy (Officer Morgan) clearly knows Kyle from more than the earlier pick pocketing because of how she talks to him. "What really smells is this guy, what's your angle?"
But she does immediately offer help in the form of a.) her car and b.) her eccentric aunt who is in the right social circles. And lives on a boat. Aunt Mildred!!!
Katy - Kyle, eat your heart out. *turns around dramatically*
Chip - *immediately imitates Katy*
Bonus - *starts to do the same thing but only does the dramatic turn when Kyle tells him not to say anything*
Aunt Mildred immediately deciding that she's in love with Bonus. ^_^ (Tracy and HR in my fic, hehehehe) And now she's giving 'faking rich socialite' lessons so they can do a better infiltration job. The snooty rich people personas Chip and Kyle affect are a lot of fun. And Katy turns out very pretty in her red dress, which Kyle clearly notices... and Bonus tactlessly points out.
Katy and Kyle have some cute belligerent UST going on.
Hehehe, Bonus is afraid of the dark. He doesn't want to recharge alone in the bathroom. And he's the friend at the slumber party who asks existential questions.
Back to poor Jonas being tortured. By spinning the bed? I'm not sure how affective this psychological torture would actually be, so not feeding him is probably doing the heavy lifting torture wise.
The heroes arrive! Infiltration take two. Snooty personas are go!
i'm definitely doing the rich snooty personas for the guys when I get that far in my fusion fic. Also gonna have HR do the car parking gag that Bonus does here. (That poor car he's driving, it was so pretty before he tried to park. At least it doesn't seem to be taking much damage. Unlike the villain's cars.)
Katy has to save the day because she's the only one who knows how to act like a real person. Kyle is busy stealing the silver.
The boys are so bad at undercover work, but they've put evil Alfred in a room and are now getting chased by security. *snicker* Kyle shows his heart of gold and becomes the distraction so that Chip can find the real Jonas.

Decided to put on Still Not Quite Human to watch.
Opens with ominous thunder sound on a cloudy day as a van drives up to deliver mail to a gated mansion with scary looking security. Dun dun duuuuun
The bad guy's butler is like evil Alfred, I swear. The main villain in a bath robe being vaguely evil and he just... happens to notice Jonas Carson's face on a magazine. Aha! he says, I'll steal from him.
Cut to... Jonas doing maintenance on Chip's heart shaped chip. I'm using that chip in the fusion fanfic. Chip takes his name from it in the movies, so it makes sense that Hartley would be named for it too.
Love the comical chase to get the mail that blows away from him (it gets stuck on the back of the mail van, then a dog steals it for funsies) because Chip gets to show off some of his inhuman abilities.
Chip - I'm twenty-three months old. I'm almost grown up and can definitely stay home alone.
Jonas - No. No, still a baby. I mean, you should come with me.
Where is the rest of the family anyway? I don't remember the wife (was there one in the first movie?) But there was definitely his sister Becky (human).
I love that Jonas is so worried about what might happen to Chip on his own, but it's Jonas something bad happens to. And of course Chip is worried about people finding out about him. He wants to be a person, not a novelty.
Chip in the airport is hilarious. "Nothing can stop us now." Sees the metal detector.
I wanted to do the metal detector gag so badly, but I didn't think it would fit the tone of the fic - and take up time I wanted for other story elements. But also since I'm doing it as modern day, TSA would treat this badly in a way late 1980s airport security would not.
Jonas - I'm very humble. *also excitedly signing autographs*
Chip meeting different robots and clocking one of them as being a human puppet-ing it from afar is hilarious.
Jonas gets heckled by one person and suffers a technical glitch... and almost outs Chip. I'd be pissed too Chip. I'd be pissed too. (I'll be handling the lecture differently in the fic, though.)
I do feel bad for Jonas though, this is his life's work and he's being heckled for it. Treated like a charlatan when he's right.
Ominous villain in the background, smoking a pipe. lol
Jonas - Nobody's going to buy that research now.
Well, not buy, but steal? Ooooh yeah, stealing is on the table. Kidnapping too.
Chip's feelings are hurt by how Jonas is acting, so he goes for a walk to calm down. And that's when the kidnapping happens, of course.
My favorite pick pocket has arrived!!! Hawking stolen watches for cheap. Love how smooth he is, selling a watch to an easy mark and stealing the mark's current watch. Enter Miss Beat Cop, who gets a chase sequence with my fav thief, using escalators even - feel bad for the lady who got knocked down a few steps.
Mr. Thief accidentally cuts short Chip's walk and thus a new friendship is born. They discover the room trashed and Chip gets to be a little weird while looking for clues.
Chip's pretty young here still, but Hartley's gonna be five years old in my fic, so he's pretty well adjusted and better at blending in with humans. It does mean I'm cutting out some of the movie's humor.
Kyle (Mr. thief) gives back the watch to avoid trouble, which is funny to me.
Meanwhile Chip is trying to get the cops to give a shit about his father being missing and failing. (In the fic I'm writing, Hartley's well aware the police aren't gonna do anything unless he's been missing for twenty-four hours without proof. Which makes him annoyed with Dt. West who asks a few times why Hartley didn't try to report Harry missing sooner?)
Love that Kyle has dropped his bell boy disguise and Chip doesn't seem to care.
Kyle and Chip return to the room to find everything fixed and his 'dad' back. 'Jonas' has no idea who Chip is, which is such a funny conversation. 'Jonas' is so bad at pretending to be human. He can't seem to remember Chip's name and downs some steaming hot coffee.
Android vs Android - and you can hear the servos which is so funny. 'Jonas' shorting out and falling over when Chip wins the 'fight'.
Chip - So where's my real dad?
Cut to the ominous mansion where Jonas awakes in a four poster hotel style bed in an all white room while dressed white. There's a breakfast tray underneath the bed with fake food and 'sur' 'prise' written on the back of the fake eggs. Like, way to be petty, Mr. Villain. There's an evil lady who is apparently dedicated to breaking Jonas psychologically. And the evil lair setup is so great, if I were an evil villain I'd want this lair.
I need to give Eobard a lair, don't I?
Mr. Villain walks into the white room with a gun to talk to Jonas. To taunt him and explain how he wants Jonas' special heart chip. Jonas realizes that Chip's in danger should Mr. Villain learn of him.
Mr. Villain reveals he just has a water gun, then it turns out that the Mr. Villain in the room is just an android. When workers come to retrieve the android Jonas tries to make his escape... only to find himself in a room identical the one he just left.
I swear this is like a Bond villain setup.

Detective West - We found your father.
Hartley - *recognizing that "Harry" is in fact an android duplicate* Great. Just great. Good work. That is definitely a father shaped person.
Cisco - *realizing something is wrong, but not what* I am sticking with you; you are not getting rid of me.
Fake Harry (soon to be dubbed Uncle HR) has arrived ^_^

With the afternoon came Harry Wells’ lecture on Emotional Intelligence in AI, which was hilarious to Hartley because his dad was… not the most emotionally intelligent person in the family. By far. Even Hartley was better at reading other people’s moods these days, though admittedly he hadn’t started off that way. Hartley’s ‘emotional intelligence’ was specifically down to a special processor chip, not unlike the emotion chip Data used in the movie Generations to finally start forming opinions about how things tasted, tell bad jokes, and feel compelled to sing about scanning for life forms. But this one was larger and… aesthetically invoked a stylized heart. It was from this chip that Hartley’s name had been derived. And it was this chip that governed Hartley’s ability to feel emotions and form relationships based on those emotions. Because of it, Hartley could love his parents and his sister, make friends, and even form crushes.
From the Still Not Quite Human fusion fic where Hartley is Harry's android son.
I've actually reached the point where Harry's been kidnapped, but HR hasn't shown up yet. I'm putting more Flash references in there than the initial idea had, where I was fitting Flash characters into the character slots from the movie without too much thought. It does mean I've moved around the order where characters introduced and, much as I like police officer Iris (E2 Iris and Dream Iris were so badass), I've decided aspiring investigative journalist Iris will probably suit my needs better.
Using Stagg as a red herring is fun, but of course the real trouble starts when Thawne industries - and Eobard specifically - shows up. :D
In the movie, Chip doesn't let his mom and sister know what's going on which works for keeping the movie self-contained/able to stand alone. But since I'm using Harry, that means Jesse and Tess (since I ascribe to the fanon that E2 Tess was Harry's wife); I don't want Hartley just ignoring them. And, of course, there's a real concern that they might be targeted too. So Hartley's making sure they know they might be in danger. I don't think I'll have them actually show up in person, but Hartley will talk to Tess over the phone at least a few times during the fic.
