Things I wish someone told me before

To be truly productive, it is important to pause and ponder sometimes.
Today's hustle culture romanticizes endless grind- keeping you on your toes at all times while you end up mentally clogged and brain fogged without even realizing it.
2. Chasing and letting go are two sides of the same coin.
This hyper-connected society wants you to pick a label, follow a template for living your life to the fullest. And if you don't, you're treated like an oddball. The truth is, we are fluid. We evolve.
It's okay to outgrow a label, not fit a shape. We are allowed to chase something and later let it go. It's not wrong to what everyone else isn't doing.
3. Trust your gut feeling.
I don't remember exactly where I read it, but that subtle discomfort we can't really articulate, is totally valid. Our intuition is a result of everything our brain has quietly observed, processed, and stored over time. It might be hard to make sense when our thoughts are jumbled, but do try to listen to your inner voice. It does matter!
Does this sound familiar to you too, or is it just me spiraling into overthinking?

Simply beautiful! I even read the novel this was based on, but the film hits deeper.

Memories & Musings
Every time I rewatch Spirited Away, from that innocent kid to the adult I am now, it unlocks a whole new train of thought in me. Especially this exchange between Yubaba and Chihiro. I might be taking it out of context, but arenât we all just a medley of cherished memories from others?
Like that song rec from someone you love that ends up living in your playlist. Or those little tokens of affection decorating your table or shelf. A random movie that somehow becomes a treasured memory. A flavour you might never have tried if it werenât for someone. Or certain habits that linger...
Likeâhow can fantasy, climate activism, philosophy, eternal love, childlike innocence, and nostalgia all be blended so effortlessly and skilfully into a single film? No wonder itâs considered a timeless classic.

Underrated but So beautiful, So elegant, Just...WoW

Itâs way past midnight, and youâre wide awake because your brain just wonât shut up. On one such night, I picked up The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams â and guess what? It felt like a warm bear hug to my racing mind.
This book is such a gem for anyone who craves a soft, feel-good read thatâs emotionally layered. Plus, if you're a historical fiction buff, this is absolutely for you!
You see 20th-century Britain through the eyes of Esme, a girl who grows up watching the making of the Oxford English Dictionary and secretly starts collecting the words the male lexicographers reject â words mostly used by women and working-class folks, not found in books or newspapers but very much alive in real life.
Trust me, every chapter hits different: the sweet dad-daughter bond, the struggle of raising a motherless child, the voices of maids, market women, theatre actresses â people usually left out of âimportantâ conversations. It also touches on the early feminist wave, how war is experienced by ordinary folks, messy first love, and the stigma around single motherhood.
Honestly, the book feels like a well-brewed cup of coffee â simple yet emotionally rich, historical yet deeply personal.
