How are you so active? I feel uneasy when I don’t have any art in progress and feel the need to draw all the time but I struggle to make art frequently

Apologies for projecting insane levels of productivity, it is a complete illusion.

I'm currently posting all my older work I'm proud of or feel has contributed to my style, mostly my art school senior portfolio work and everything from then on (anything before that is... rough). So like 3-4 years worth of art, which allows for a post every day habit.

As an aside, a lot of my drawing energy is devoted to freelance at the moment and I assure you it's a slow process. I'm not a fast worker at all, sometimes sketches alone take me a day or several to nail down. It's very rare I finish anything major within even a week.

Definitely faster than I used to be though!

It sucks not being able to make art when you know you've got the spirit but something else is in the way #On a personal note I'm extremely thankful for freelance going well on my end #But between freelance and relearning how I function in my own space due to moving I've had to basically drop all personal art as a result #I think the distance isn't all bad because my relationship with art hasn't always been healthy in hindsight and I'm appreciating the space #But regardless I miss my characters and personal story a lot. TLDR I resonate with the art/productivity guilt you're talking about #So in a way posting my older artwork here keeps me in tune with the art I want to keep making for myself (when I make the time)#Note to self to put together a portfolio of my art that I feel encapsulates “me” exactly. Like a style bible album thing

Hi!! I just ran across your blog and wanted to say I love your art: it's so intense and evocative! The compositions have so much energy, the colors are so vibrant and creative. I also really like the way you stylize the characters. And I'm a big fan of horror and wierd fiction, so the subject matter appeals to me too. Basically I love everything about it! 💖

who's Felicia??

Who is Felicia? Why is Felicia? What is Felicia?

In all seriousness, Felicia is a missing person from my story's setting of Cape Falmouth. Existing in dreams and other equivalents of limbo as they are neither here nor there, they help the local cold case detective with his cases (AKA Lawrence, he shows up a lot here), in exchange for finding out what happened to them. The two have a deeply stained history that's been obscured by a promise.

An eel has carved a home in their body, mind, and soul. From how Felicia talks they doesn't seem bothered by it, but they are separate yet conjoined entities. Eels are often in their entourage and serve as "eyes" and other senses. Other fish such as wolffish, groupers, and guppies revere them, and are in their service as well. They're something of a new form of life, attracting the attention of the local abyssal beings.

A mercurial trickster, eager to watch a plan fall through. Sentimental, but isn't sure what about when they think about it. Wicked and feral, elated at their newborn fangs and claws. Slowly melting, sloughing away the longer they're apart from the ocean. Unfathomably rage-filled.

Felicia goes by any pronouns, is 5'8'', and their theme song is The Yawning Grave by Lord Huron. Some more samples from their playlist:
