The earth is beautifully positioned in orbit: close enough to the sun for warmth and far enough to prevent it from boiling over. Human beings have multiplied exponentially and subdued the earth. For years, scientists have been looking for life outside the earth. They search for water and energy, among other things. Mars has been the most likely option, but thankfully, it's not the only option. . . One of Jupiter's four moons, Europa, has appeared promising. Europa is the smallest, but has garnered more attention than any other moon. Satellite pictures of Europa are breathtaking. It is shiny and looks like glass. It has a smooth surface. Europa is the brightest moon in the solar system. Of course, the importance of this mysterious moon goes beyond its beauty. Its major attraction lies in its possibility of having water, signifying life. . . Humans go to such lengths, seeking life on other planets and planetoids. The life we seek is biological, but the life we need is spiritual. It's wonderful to see that the most important kind of life, the God kind of life, is available to us. We don't need to go up to heaven to get it or down to Sheol in search of it. It's the reason Jesus came. The Second World War ended in 1945. To prevent any reoccurrence of such horrors, the United Nations was formed. From inception, a delegate from China saw that it would be beneficial to have a health organization under the umbrella of the newly formed United Nations. He spoke with fellow delegates from Norway and Brazil, but wasn't immediately able to convince everyone about the necessity of such a body. The word "world" was preferred to "international" to emphasize how global the organization was meant to be. Eventually, on April 7, 1948, the World Health Organization was formed. . . The World Health Organization dedicates April 7 every year to the awareness about certain health issues of importance. It's called the World Health Day and this year, the focus is "Depression, let's talk". Thankfully, with our God, everyday is Health Day. In the letter of Apostle John to Gaius, he clearly states: "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth". (3 John 2) Health includes all areas of health, physical and mental, spiritual too. . . When you are unhappy, one of the first things the enemy attacks is your desire to speak. He knows that you can talk your way out of depression. Isaiah 65:16 AMP says "So [it shall be] that he who invokes a blessing on himself in the land shall do so by SAYING..." Keep saying the Word. Talk to someone who can help. Whether it's spiritual or emotional depression (or even economic depression) God says arise. That means you've got to take steps to enforce your freedom in Christ. Arise because God's glory is risen upon and within you. When Thomas Edison opened the world's first movie studio in 1893, there were motion pictures. Literally. No articulation or conversation, just silent motion pictures. The first time people spoke in a movie was in 1927. By the 1950s, it was becoming increasingly popular to have a television set at home. Cinema managers needed to come up with something new to attract audiences to the theatre, but how were they to pull it off? . . Michael Todd, an American filmmaker, had just the right answer. He came up with a creative concept to improve the cinema experience. In addition to the sight and sound already known, Todd promised to add something unusual: smell. For the first time, people were going to watch...and smell a movie. He called it smellovision. Scents would be released at specific times during the movie to correspond with the script. It sounded (and smelled) like a good idea. Unfortunately, it didn't work out because there was no way to control the exit of the scent and the smell lingered and mixed up with other scents released. In the last two years, there's been renewed interest in the idea of smellovision. . . Smell lingers. Smell invokes an ambiance and evokes a response. In a turbulent world where people are either dying or being rescued, we are the sweet smell of Christ. Christ is the Anointed One and His Anointing. When Christians release the fragrance of the Anointing, the world becomes a better place: homes are happy, companies are productive, businesses thrive, innovations burst forth. Undoubtedly, Julius Caesar was an unforgettable character. He was a Roman general and senator, whose role switched between Politics and the Military. He was an orator whose brief words were also golden. He was once supposed to write and submit to Rome a detailed report of his conquest but simply penned the words: "I came, I saw, I conquered." Those words are still alive today. There's a myth that Julius Caesar was born by Caesarean section (C.S), and while this isn't true, even historians wish it were so! . . March is remembered by many as the month in which Caesar died. Like the biblical Samson, Julius Caesar was popular in life and in death. He was killed on the staircase to the Senate building by senators who felt threatened by his rise. He was stabbed 23 times, but the lethal wound was the one inflicted by his friend, Brutus. In William Shakespeare's play about the historic event, we find Caesar's words: "And you, Brutus?" . . The brutal Brutus thought he had killed Caesar, but Caesar's legacy didn't die. Today's calendar wakes up daily to the influence of Julius Caesar. He introduced the leap year we still use today. What's more, July is named after him. There's no month of Brutus. Caesar's death ushered in the birth of the Roman Empire, and emperors bore the name Caesar, including Tiberius who was the "Caesar" on the coin in the days of Jesus. Judas betrayed Jesus; Jesus was buried, but like all buried seeds, He sprouted with resurrection life. Judas is part of the plan! We may have challenges but we always win. Characters like Spiderman and Iron Man are superheroes that were created by the Marvel company. On December 27, 1996, Marvel experienced a dark day that no superhero could salvage. The company filed for bankruptcy. Up until then, Marvel was known for selling comics. Now, comics were outdated. . With the sales of comics on the decline and a couple of questionable investments, Marvel found itself losing relevance (and lots of money) in a modern market. Even their ideas of getting out of the mess were obsolete. Then, they launched into movies. The first few movies they were involved in made money for other companies but Marvel didn't benefit. Based on the flat fee negotiation, they made only $25,000 for a movie that sold for $70 million at the box office! Then, David Maisel (God bless his heart) advised Marvel to start CREATING their own movies. The first Marvel movie made over $500 million! Since then, they've been so successful that the Marvel movie that 'failed' to bring in the money still made $370 million! . When God started His planetary company called Earth, nothing was working. The good God had a product gone bad. For the One who lived in the North, His footstool had gone south. The Lord of life had a lifeless lump, a barren land, an empty space. God didn't give up. The interlocked CC logo on accessories is unmistakable, and was designed by Coco herself in the 1920s. Her influence spanned through the 20th century and continues to be seen today. Coco Chanel is the only fashion designer on TIME magazine's list of the 100 most influential people of the 20th century. . . Women in the Victorian Era used to endure tight corsets because it was in vogue. Coco Chanel came on the scene and changed all that. She introduced a chic, sporty look. Her cuts cut across class, and she made every woman feel both comfortable and classy. Many styles being worn today started with Coco Chanel as far back as 1912, including the little black dress (sometimes called LBD because it sounds cool in some circles). . . Coco Chanel once said: "Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening." That's similar to the words of Apostle Paul to the Ephesian church.
