Slowburn friends to hinted lovers

A/N: This might become a Gojo HC series,,, yeah..

Imagine, you went to school with him, Geto, and Shoko. I want to say you and Shoko were best friends (still are), and all of you have rooms right next to one another (we can say Gojo probably requested it for annoyance purposes). 

I think you and Gojo formed a healthy rivalry back when you guys were both students, both coming from major sorcerer clans so you guys have a lot to bond over (particularly bonding over your hatred of the old geezers)

Gojo probably flirted with you a lot, and like the badass you are, you brushed off his advances (also because you did NOT want to be one of Gojo Satoru’s fangirls). This did not deter his confidence cockiness , however it did make him chase you a lot

You see, let’s say your cursed technique is sort of like a mimic technique. Where you can either completely absorb one’s technique or simply mimic it. However the setback is that you can only absorb those who are equal to or weaker than you are and you can only have so many different cursed techniques until it starts weighing you down physically. So of course you can release the absorptions, otherwise your life would be incredibly difficult. NOW BC OF THIS Gojo makes fun of you because you can’t even mimic a simple part of his technique. This in turn makes you more frustrated (you are praying for his downfall well i guess the box happened)

Fast forward to the day of Geto’s death, it came to you hard because you guys all grew up with one another with millions of sleepovers, movie nights, and all the like. Now, once you found out- a huge fight broke out between you and Gojo. 

“Satoru, what do you mean you just left his cold, lifeless body back there??” 

“I wanted his family to have the honors y/n”

“Why did you have to kill him? We could have found another way-”

“There was no other way, especially if he was trying to kill YOU for being compassionate about helping humans.”

And that broke your heart, knowing that he would have killed you for having compassion towards a group of people he saw beneath him. The death ultimately caused a huge strain in your friendship with him, hence why you guys cut each other off.

Fast forward to the year in which you find out about Sukuna Ryomen’s vessel, you were roommates with Shoko- and still have not spoken to Gojo since the incident. You were currently classified as a Special Grade sorcerer, working around to kill curses others needed help with. Imagine your shock when you get a call about a special grade curse at the detention center. 

You got there as fast as you could and saw Toji’s kid with a pink haired boy- no, there was something sinister about it. You got yourself ready and got in between Megumi and Sukuna before he could land a hit on Megumi. 

“Oh what do we have here? Instead of finding women myself, one seems to have come here on it’s own accord”

 “Release him now Ryomen Sukuna”

“Oh what would be the fun in that”

You continued sparring with him, knowing that you can’t kill him as he is inside a vessel. That is… until his heart was ripped out. Of course you’re freaking out when you sense the malicious energy dying out and Yuuji is collapsing on the floor. You disregard the blood staining your clothes and bring Yuuji back to the Tokyo Institute and slam open the door to Shoko’s operation room. The concern for the boy overrides your anxiety, seeing Gojo Satoru right in front of you after all these years.

Now, Gojo couldn’t help but be in awe of you. Of course he has been keeping tabs on how you were doing from Shoko, but seeing you in person now was something he could only think about- never really thinking it would become a reality. He can’t help but think about how he oh so very much wants to hold you and apologize as well as catching up with you. But right now, he shouldn’t be thinking of those things when Yuuji can very well be considered uh… dead.

Of course, after this whole thing and Yuuji magically pops back up- scaring all of you really, you find it in yourself agreeing to become a mentor for Yuuji since Shoko asked. (Shoko is doing Gojo a favor bc she owes him for a favor he pulled for her a little while back LMAO). Gojo is using this experience as an excuse to catch you alone and finally be able to do something he has been wanting to do. 

Gojo was able to corner you and pull you into a hug, while mumbling many sorry’s and maybe even being close to crying (don’t expose him bc i think he’s the type to put smushed rice in someone’s hair)

NOW you just have to forgive him duh, well you may be mad at him for a little longer but he DOES buy you sweets so how can you still be mad,,,

Now you’re teasing him and saying he is “obsessed with you” which he uh… bluntly does not deny

“Yeah y/n, didn’t think it would take you that long to realize”

NOW YOU’RE BLUSHING, and this becomes a beautiful start to your relationship after reconnecting- now you guys can work your way into becoming something more :)

Summary: On a snowy night, you were with your friends at a party. Although you expected happiness, you felt a little empty. Through your jealousy plan, some things go wrong- but does the end make it worth it?

A/N: isdjfoi i’m a bit rusty but i hope you guys like it enough. i believe everything is gender neutral for the most part (since gender doesn’t really play a role in my stories too much anyway) but let me know if there is something that isn’t gender neutral so I can fix it! content warning is very loose, i don’t think anything in the fix is extreme but i put it down just in case

It was a chilly night in Tokyo, one in winter where snow falls and steadily coats the ground with white fluff. You were at a party with your group of chaotic friends, all while dancing with a man whose name you can’t even remember. You thought to be enjoying yourself, although other thoughts were plaguing your mind. You were hoping to catch the attention of your best friend, Miya Atsumu- though it seems as if he was busy giving others his attention. As you were brought back into the present, the man you were dancing with had started grabbing your wrists insisting you go to one of the back rooms.

“C’mon, let loose a little sweetheart,” he slurs as he drags you along with a slight stumble in his step.

You stood your ground, looking back at the man with disgust. “I am not going within 10 feet of your cheese filled dick,” you snorted out as you slapped the man’s hand away.

Although you had realised it was slightly your fault for dancing with him, he shouldn’t have grabbed you or insisted on going into one of the back rooms of the party. Suddenly, he starts to loom over you and grabs at your wrist once more. 

“C’mon you dumb bitch, one night isn’t going to hurt,” he spat. 

“I would prefer it if ya didn’t touch my doll,” a voice from behind you spoke. A voice you can point out from miles away, the voice of your best friend.

“Sheesh, didn’t know you were Miya’s- should’ve told me sooner slut,” the guy spoke.

As the man spoke, you could feel Atsumu tense up. “Tsumu, it isn’t worth it. Let’s just go,” you told him, pulling the glaring boy away from the gross man. 

You led him outside onto the balcony of the house, feeling some tension in the air- leaving you with goosebumps filling your arms. You leaned both your arms against the rail, holding your face in your hands as you watched the snow fall down.

“Why did ya dance with him?” Atsumu questioned as he followed your actions right beside you.

“No reason, don’t worry about it Tsumu.”

“There has to be more than that, just be honest with me y/n.”

“If I'm going to be honest, I've been pining after you since we were kids. I thought that dancing with someone else might either give me a distraction or a reaction from you,” you spoke as you sighed, a little surprised that you were able to tell him the truth so quickly. You didn’t expect to confess to Atsumu this way at all, nor did you ever expect yourself to confess to him ever. He never really gave the girls the time of day, but he never really reacted to you having partners either- making you believe he didn’t have any romantic feelings towards you at all. As you were thinking into the interactions between you both, a chuckle broke off your train of thought.

“Ya know, I’ve been in love with ya for over 10 years y/n. God we’re so stupid. Samu kept tellin me that ya liked me but I never believed him. Today, I was going to let ya know I really liked ya but those girls kept hoggin me and wouldn’t let me go. And I felt so discouraged when ya were dancin with that douche, but turns out it was to make me jealous huh? I felt so angry seeing him treat ya like that. I know ya can stand yer ground and probably pass a mean kick to his balls but,” he turned to you as he started speaking his next words. 

“I wanted to be there for ya, no matter what. I wanted to back ya up, because we’re partners in crime. I care for ya, and I want to let ya know that I would do everything in my power to keep ya happy and healthy,” he said with a soft smile, patting your head.

You were pleasantly surprised from his declaration, and rather than words to show your happiness- you decided on hugging him very tightly. You both stayed like that for some time until Atsumu decided to pull back. He glanced from your eyes to your lips as a silent plea. Rather than waiting, you took initiative and grabbed his face and pulled his into yours. 

“FUCKIN FINALLY!”

You both jumped away from each other to see Osamu and your friends who yelled while suna was recording the whole thing.

“HEY WHAT HAPPENED TO PRIVACY SAMU YA LITTLE-,” Atsumu yelled out as he jumped his brother.

Everyone began filling the balcony with laughter, causing you to smile at the scene- reminding you that although the confession wasn’t perfect, you wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.

Smau Masterlist 

It had been a year since then, and you smile to yourself as you look at him, in a black suit as he looked back at you with the same knowing smile. You’ve both been looking forward to today all this time, there were uncertainties along the way, that was for sure, but now it’d be official. 

“AAHHH THE HIGHSCHOOL LOVERS ARE REALLY GETTING MARRIED TODAY!” Tanaka exclaims while Noya and Asahi try to stop their tears. 

“We always knew deep down that it’d be the both of you,” Suga grins. “Took you long enough, knuckleheads,” Tsukki says with a teasing smile and you roll your eyes at him as the groom offers him a small genuine smile, because indeed, there were a lot of detours. 

“It’s about to start! It’s about to start! Let’s go,” Yamaguchi calls off and everyone exits the room, Tanaka dragging the nervous groom as Noya looks back at you, sending a wink. 

“At least one of you should be calm you know,” he chuckles and you slump your shoulders, “of course I’d be nervous,” you groan, running your palms along your dress to make sure it looked perfect. 

“Come out when you’re ready,” Noya waves.

The memory from that night resurfaces, and you thank yourself for coming out of that hotel to meet him, if you hadn’t, this day wouldn’t have come. With one last look in the mirror, you exit the room, stopping a step outside just enough to see but for others to not see you yet. 

You can’t take it, he looked too perfect as he waited at the end of the aisle. If he was nervous, it clearly showed as he kept on turning to Suga to mutter something; probably asking if he really had to say all the wedding vows out loud for all the people to hear; because he asked you that too, multiple times before this very day. 

He meets your eyes again, and he sends a subtle smile, his eyes however dark, held his gratitude and love for you. “Very handsome,” you mouth to him with a grin and he rolls his eyes, making you laugh.

Your chest fills with happiness, your best friend, your first and childhood love, Kageyama Tobio, definitely deserved the world. 

“Are those tears y/n-chan? It didn’t even start yet,” a voice you knew all too well interrupts your thoughts. You look to your side immediately, surprised to see him there. 

“Don’t you look charming in that suit,” you grin. 

“It’s been about a year, it should’ve been us who got married by this time,” he jokingly says as if it didn’t bother him one bit. 

“You actually came, Toru.”  

“Not that I wanted to,” he smiles, brown hazel eyes looking at you with the same look they’ve always harbored when you’re before him, “I just had to see you in this dress, y/n.”
