Idk if it’s just me but i really do find tumblr to be one of the most enjoyable places to post art. Like the engagement and ability to leave tags has always made me feel a lot more connected to the people interacting with my art. I love snooping through peoples tags and seeing how something i created fits into their collections, or just how they feel about it in general. Idk, it’s just always been my favorite. Violet Eyes

Book 1 Slightly Evil Rhysand is my favorite Rhysand.

In His Arms

I fell asleep in his arms, and when I awoke a few hours later, we made love again, lazily and intently, a slow-burning smolder to the wildfire of earlier. Once we were both spent, panting and sweat-slicked, we lay in silence for a time, and I breathed in the smell of him, earthy and crisp. Feylin Week 2024, Day 4: Beauty and the Beast

Don't ask me why, but this is the first thing I thought of when I saw this prompt. Disney's Beauty and the Beast is one of my all-time favorite movies, and when reading A Court of Thorns and Roses, I couldn't help but wonder how much inspiration SJM took from the animated classic.

Really, Lady Midnight, I can hear you say, you didn't think of the romantic ballroom scene, or the transformation scene at the end? You thought of this scene? This one, for the most romantic prompt on the list? Really??? And the answer is, yes. Yes, I did. 😅 But he isn't even in his beast form in this scene in the book--Sh sh shshshs.

"Only a Nightmare"

Feylin Week 2024, Day 2: Protection

I have the hardest time believing that Tamlin would just sleep through Feyre's nightmares after everything they endured Under the Mountain. So for today's theme, I chose to portray Feyre seeking safety and reassurance in Tamlin's arms. As she clings to him, breathing hard and heart pounding, he holds her close and kisses her head and murmurs, "It was only a nightmare." After a while of this, she can finally breathe normally and realize that she's safe. He's safe. Safe, and protected. ❤️

Tamlin Week 2024, Day 4: (a belated) Happily Ever After

We stood atop the hill in silence, until the setting sun gilded the house and the hills and the world and Lucien called us to dinner. ~ A Court of Thorns and Roses, ch. 45

This was inspired by the meadow scene in Studio Ghibli's "Howl's Moving Castle", hence the Ghibli-esque illustration style I went for here.

Many pro-Tamlin fans prefer to think of ACOTAR as a standalone book, and I am no exception. So my contribution to the "Happily Ever After" theme is them walking off into the sunset at the end of book 1. I hope you like it.

I'm in a Feylin mood today.

From one of my favorite scenes in ACOTAR:

His lips brushed mine—testing, soft and warm. He pulled back a little. He was still staring at me, and I stared right back as he kissed me again, harder, but nothing like the way he’d kissed my neck. He withdrew more fully this time and watched me. "That's it?" I demanded, and he laughed and kissed me fiercely.

They're so soft for each other in this chapter. I miss them. T_T

EDIT: This is from the "I'm thinking I might kiss you"/"Then do it" scene in ch. 25. I should have been more specific. Sorry about that!

Tamlin Week Coloring Pages 2024

We have a very special surprise for everyone!

If you have been struggling to find a way to participate in Tamlin Week, or if you just want to do some relaxing grown-up coloring, you're in luck! Four of the Tamlin fandom's artists have drawn up some never-before-seen coloring pages featuring our favorite High Lord!

You can access all of the coloring pages in our Google Drive folder here, where they are in much higher quality than we can post on tumblr. Each page has the option to download with or without the background, depending on your preference. You may publish your colored masterpieces for Tamlin Week (April 14-20), or just enjoy them in private!

While the pictures are free to use, please give credit where credit is due and tag the original artists when you upload your finished work! Please do not alter or re-upload the artists' original line drawings and/or take credit for their work. Please do share your work and tag @tamlinweek so that we can see it, too!

Coloring Tips:

The images can either be colored traditionally, or digitally using your software of choice. For example, photopea.com is free to use and acts just like Photoshop!

If you choose to go the traditional route, Lady Midnight recommends printing the images on a heavier paper like cardstock. (Neenah Classic Crest in Solar White, 80 lb is her paper of choice for marker work, for example.) Consider using alcohol ink markers, colored pencils like Prismacolor, and/or light washes of watercolor to add color to your project.
