ACOTAR Rant

The way that Rhysand's actions could be so easily justified if SJM has just written down that Amarantha was tormenting Feyre in the dungeon. Like, then Rhys does need to get her out. If SJM had written Amarantha being jealous of Rhys, then Rhys needs some way to get Feyre out without looking suspicious. If she had written AMARANTHA being the one to suggest the clothing or telling Rhys to get Feyre to 'put on a show' THEN Rhysand has no fault because it wasn't his choice either.

But SJM didn't, this was the first book, the book where Tamlin and Feyre were set up to be endgame and it is so, so fucking obvious, because even Rhysand's reasoning later doesn't really at all justify what he did.

Amarantha didn't give two flying fucks about Feyre, just dumped her in a cell and made her do chores, she forgot Feyre was even there and was like wtf when Rhysand OUT OF HIS OWN CHOICE drugged and assaulted Feyre.

It is so obvious that Feysand wasn't planned to be endgame at this point, that SJM and her editors didn't properly look at these things. It would not affect the budding relationship of Feysand, it would actually bring them a little closer together.

If Amarantha had been utilized as the villain in a more thorough way, Rhysand would be relatively blameless, but as it is, he is the instigator, and the one who abused Feyre in horrific ways that permanently traumatized her.

His lips brushed mine—testing, soft and warm. He pulled back a little. He was still staring at me, and I stared right back as he kissed me again, harder, but nothing like the way he’d kissed my neck. He withdrew more fully this time and watched me. "That's it?" I demanded, and he laughed and kissed me fiercely.

They're so soft for each other in this chapter. I miss them. T_T

So after all this I'm supposed to believe Tamlin didn't love Feyre, Feyre didn't love Tamlin and Rhys who tortured Feyre, violated her mind AND made Tamlin beg is the "good" guy we are supposed to root for Feyre to get together with?

No. Absolutely not. This should have been a stand alone book. The character assassination is pathetic and the fandom is baffling.

Not sure if I'm satisfied with it but I do like the idea of Feyre telling Tam she wants to get better at landscapes(she seems like more of a portrait artist.) And Tam's like okay follow me and bam a little date with their boys. Tamlin can't feel either of his arms but that's okay they're having a ball and Feyre's elated.

*He's glowing to give Feyre light and he might be overexerting himself to keep the moon up while they're out there.

Imagine a white dress. long and flowy. Floor length with a minimalistic corset. A small tightly curled up buds of flowers and dying vines wrapped around it. Barely there, just noticeable against the pure white fabric.

Then when Spring Magic is released, it blooms, the buds unfurl, the vines come back to life, the dress is spilling into the earth itself, as it moves little petals of light are floating away from it. The flowers are curling up into the hair of the wearer. The greenery, the reds, the blues, the yellows, the purples, they are spilling down the side of the dress, and curling over the fabric like fungi creeping over fallen wood.

Yeah, this is the kind of fashion I think is in the Spring.

Then a suit to match. A large floor length jacket weaved from vines and leaves and flowering petals, that shimmers with magic. The shirt is weaved from spider's silk. Decorated with lines of raw, uncut gemstones.

Feylin rocking up to the High lord's meeting in this getup is way better than anything the Night Court could have ever done. Rhysand can keep his half-assed sparkly rags, I want this shit.

im convinced feyre lost her human heart UTM and that’s why shit fell so fast with tamlin to the point that even lucien was like ‘mmmm feyre slow down’

i think the mate bond between feyre and rhys only rlly properly snapped into place when she turned fæ bcz human feyre was not equal to rhys and she still had all these human like qualities that connected her to tamlin more but then as soon as she transformed she became like ‘worthy’ as she lost her human heart and her wants and needs changed to that of someone on par with rhys.

tamlin provided soft affection whereas rhys provided power affection and feyres ideals switched up after she died so she no longer was interested in the poetry, picnics, art, dances and starlight pools tamlin gave her but wanted the power, abilities, control and dominance rhys offered her.

this very much proves why we cannot hold these characters to human morals and values bcz they do not hold themselves to the same standards.

Welcome to the official blog that will be hosting and running Feylin Week 2024. This is the first Feylin Week, hopefully of many, so it will only last five days instead of the traditional seven. Why Those Days?

This poll, had the week originally be set for April, but the month is already filled with three separate fandom events, and adding a fourth may overwhelm those who wish to participate, so the week has been pushed a month and will now be help in May. All future weeks, however, will still be held May 5th - 11th

Can I Help?

For the upcoming week, no, as too many details are already set, but if you wish to help run or technically contribute to potential future weeks, reach out to feylinweek@gmail.com. You can also use the email if you want to participate privately (stealth Feylin shippers) Please do not spam this email with hate or vitriol, it is a fandom space for others to enjoy and communicate.

Do I have to stick to the prompts?

Not at all. The prompts will be more guidelines than rules. They’re there for inspiration and to remind people of Feylin moments that they may not remember to make participation easier. Additionally, the days aren’t deadlines, works for Day One can be posted on Day Three. The Masterlists for each day won’t be posted until the week is over, so don’t stress trying to adhere to the timeline.

Acotar fandom is so toxic with all the ships wars and Rhys girls,i miss the first book era 😪

I’m not even part of this fandom ‘cause i don’t like the series or the author so idk why people are attacking me in my inbox.I only shared my preferences and opinions.

But yeah,the first book was the one i enjoyed the most and i miss that Feyre,Lucien and Tamlin.
